South Africa is indeed a anotherworldly: good roads, top infrastructures, nice people and good vibe. A big thank you Lenox for promoting our Credle of Mankind and specially SOWETO township. Greetings from Angola
Lenox cannot stop smiling, happy that you are enjoying the sights in Joburg and now visiting Soweto, on my tour I passed Tu Tu's Residence, there seem to be more shops around there now, I also visited Mandela's village where he was born, his house was modern but the village side had round thatched roof huts and the surroundings were very hilly. People in Makuku, stay in those shacks by the roadside by choice to avoid paying taxes and have refused to move, although the government has offered them a new residential zone. Jess is nice, you were lucky and safe that someone was there to take you around. I also visited a place in Joburg where Mahatma Gandhi was held as a prisoner. Enjoy and stay safe. Cheers!
Didn’t think that this young lad, Lennox wasn’t from Kenya 🇰🇪 but from Zambia 🇿🇲 cos of his Bemba/Nyanja accent! Correct me if wrong, sis Jesse 😮!?? In the USA 🇺🇸, UK 🇬🇧 , India 🇮🇳 , and Persian Gulf countries, the term "shopping mall" usually refers to an enclosed retail structure, while "shopping center" usually refers to an open-air retail complex. However, in North America, "shopping mall" can also be used as a generic term for large shopping centers, especially those anchored by department stores! So Maponya Mall is certainly a “shopping mall” if we are to be guided by the prescribed definition 👆🏾! Vilakazi Street is certainly on my bucket list on my next visit to Jo’burg , Gauteng 🇿🇦❤️!
Lenox thanks for showcasing Soweto but can you please not call it a ghetto like you said it doesn't look like a ghetto. People who are not South Africans always refer to it as a slum but it's ignorance and people just perpetuate that narrative without verifying it
