I couldn't agree more. I love seeing a toy line that's actually a toy line. Affordable for kids, simple but still fun and creative. Let the collector's still have the modern style, but still give us lines like this for those that still remember what made us love toys to begin with.
For a dream list, I would love if McFarlane Toys could do the following vehicles and playsets: 1) Tim Drake's Redbird car. 2) Aquaman's Aqua-Scooter, but as a two-seater. Why a two-seater? So that, if McFarlane Toys ever releases an Apache Chief Super Powers action figure, you can recreate that scene from Challenge of the Super Friends. 3) Black Manta's Sea-Saucer 4) The Flash's Cosmic Treadmill. I would like this to accommodate at least two figures. For my dream list of future McFarlane Toys: 1) Jay Garrick Flash. I could use him, The Flash, and the Cosmic Treadmill to recreate scenes from Crisis on Infinite Earths. 2) Cyborg. I would pay a higher price point, if you can do a special vacu-metal version with an interchangable White Sound Blaster and cybernetic interface. If you can't do the interchangable parts, then please have his cybernetic interface molded in. 3) Ted Kord Blue Beetle. If this happens, please consider also doing The Bug with a feature where Ted Kord can hang from The Bug. If you look at the Secret Origins issue of Blue Beetle, Gil Kane drew a version of The Bug that could work for the McFarlane Super Powers line. 4) Cheetah, but as her Challenge of the Super Friends version. 5) Bizarro. Again, as his Challenge of the Super Friends version. 6) Firestorm. The Ronald Raymond/Professor Stein version. If possible, please consider doing this as a 3-pack with Firestorm, Ronald Raymond, and Professor Stein. 7) Hal Jordan Green Lantern. Hopefully, you can retool the John Stewart mold for this one. 8) Sinestro 9) Batgirl, but in her 1970's costume. You could probably retool this mold for the modern-day Batwoman.
Well we got some of those. I'm really hoping for classic Cheetah because we need the rest of the Legion of Doom. 5 of the 13 were released so far. Also hoping for the 70's Batgirl.
I was around and loved the original superpowers kenner i have them all. I like these there not the exact same but they shouldn't be its a new superpowers collection by MacFarlane but similar not to take away from the original and cheaper fun figures for kids witch is great. Im going to get all they sell 😊

I love the vintage Batman staying true to the original, like the Superman figure. I wish Mcfarlane would do the same with Wonder Woman - not sold on either version of her so far.
9:19 The box for the Invisible Jet shows that it has a "Capture Claw" feature. There's also a pic of the Batmobile box (which you don't have) that also confirms the return of the battering ram feature.
Can't wait to get that Aquaman, Robin, Batman, Black Manta and definitely that Invisible Jet and Batmobile. I still need to get Nightwing, Deathstroke and the Supermobile. The next figures and vehicles I would love to see are The Joker, Lex Luthor, Batgirl, Supergirl, Bizzaro, Braniac, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg, Plastic Man, The Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman, Static Shock, Swamp Thing, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Shazam, the Plastic Mobile, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Green Arrow, Black Canary etc.
I'm not sure how I feel about Jesus Aquaman. Robin/Tim Drake looks great! The batmobile is not bad, but I would've preferred the old super powers batmobile!
The Batman is the first figure in this line to really look like one of the original Kenner figures, as opposed to merely being in a similar style. It looks like the same mold just with a slightly different head sculpt.
I still have some of the original line - Firestorm was a favorite so I’d be down for a new version of him. I would LOVE to see a Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle, and the whole classic New Teen Titans lineup - Beast Boy, Starfire, Cyborg, and Raven to go with Deathstroke and Nightwing. :)
Love the batmobile. They look good. Would love them in a 7 inch scale. Batman 66 is getting way too expensive. It sucks that marvel 375 is paused. But this line is pretty cool
I grew up with the Kenner Super Powers line, had most of those figures. I like how McFarlane has updated things for this line, with throwbacks to the original line.
It looks like they are getting better. That Batman looks really good! I may have to pick up Nightwing from the previous wave. To me, that is the best looking NIghtwing McFarlane has done. My only real complaints with the line is that they are more in scale with the ToyBiz DC Comics Super Heroes than the original Kenner Super Powers line. And, the the defect with the Batwing cockpit breaking. :(

I saw a bunch of these at Walmart today on clearance, and it's the first time I've physically seen them, and it took a lot of control to not buy the whole set that they had, they look really good for the price, and it also made me look at the marvel versions of the same scale that they had there (mostly Black Panther) and now I'm considering adding a $10 line to my collection, this is much better looking than the Marvel 3.5 retro waves or whatever they are called.

I like these retro lines. I hope mcfarlane does a retro kenner Batman but in the 7 inch scale, like necas Kenner Alien line. Neca made a great Predator figure in the style of the 90s toys and it looked great and fits perfectly next to the originals.
I am guessing that a bunch of villains will be released as part of wave 5; and with them, their vehicles. Lex Luthor and classic Joker first come to mind. Though, I would also like to see the classic versions of Brainiac, Cheetah, Sinestro, and Captain Cold. As far as the heroes are concerned, I would love to get a Ronnie Raymond Firestorm, a Cyborg, Martian Manhunter, and, their next ‘modern’ figure that should be released, Batman Beyond.😊
Do you know what would really help this line? If McFarlane used an AI program to help design the figures. He would just need to input, for example, "Create a 3D render of the original Brainiac in the Kenner Super Powers design" By doing this, especially with characters never created for the original line, the sculpts will all be consistent. About that new Batman, an all black suit version has to be in the pipeline.
well I remember when Mcfarland toys were more like statues than toys its like he learned to make them and I agree but modern kids dont know the classics, the wonder woman your seeing is closer to the george perez redo of 87 and robins looking good (never got the old costume it was lame and kind of creepy the newer one is cooler but he more recent ones are a bit everywhere)
It feels like Todd is trying to pivot any direction that he can to get people interested in this line. His first try out of the gate included too many modern versions of characters and didn't' really land with collectors. Hopefully this edging towards straight up OG versions will make it more palatable
We need more ladies! I know Todd doesn't like to go heavy on the chics, but we need Black Canary, Supergirl (with headband), Zatanna, Hawkgirl, Batgirl and the Teen Titans girls too. I think that was a tribute line with the same card art and the DC Universe Classic figures repainted to make them more retro.

They capes look better but are stitched wrong. Its suposed to be folded at the neck so it can drape over the shoulders.
