I am doing the same thing and a bunch of my old old items sold this week. I am so happy! I also did the thing with the ground advantage shipping you suggested. Very good advice here. Rebel is a great seller!
Jack Valentine focuses on higher end clothing and accessories. He shares what trend or style he is gearing each item towards as well. He may be worth checking out for you.
I am glad your sales are up but this is so far the worst Q4 I have ever had, literally only 5 sales in a whole week. Normally it would be 3 times that many. Very scared. I am on SSI, I literally live from sale to sale and go hungry without them
Enjoy your videos and have learned a lot from you. I started picking up Jellycat plush recently because of you and they've been selling well for me. Just wanted to say thanks.
Alabama (the band) reference❤love your fluffy monkey sale! recently I had non payer on an offer...they never paid but Ebay never took it off the market. I continued to send offers and after 4 days I blocked the non-payer. I have never had issues with freight forwarders either.
One more question- Do you ever fight bogus returns?. I accept returns but buyer pays shipping. I have a person trying to get reimbursed for the shipping by saying my bracelet was not as pictured or described. They are claiming it was not sterling as described. But before they bought it I advised them that it was marked 925, passed the acid test as positive for sterling and purchased from reputable dealer. ALSO I verified that it was NOT magnetic. I have a strong magnet that easily attaches to anything not precious metal so my point it is a verified Sterling bracelet. They are trying to get away with saying it is not sterling and included a picture of a bracelet similar to mine(I cannot really tell from the photo)strongly attached to a weird looking devise sitting beside a bottle of what looks like glue. I have no problem with refunding the cost of item but I do not think I should have to pay the postage. I talked to ebay rep who advised me to appeal. Have you ever appealed a return or do you just pay them including the postage, even when you think they are lying?? How do you handle returns?
I've never had to appeal a case before. I do report buyers who falsely claim stuff to get a free return. I do offer free returns so I don't have too many issues.
I've never done anything with closed captioning on our videos. It's always been added automatically by TH-cam. I will look to see if there's anything I'm missing in the settings but I haven't found anything in my first quick search through them. -Robert
Hi Thank you for these wonderful videos. I have a couple of questions and this is for anyone really. Is there a platform that I can list that is more like a store? For me ebay is this constant wheel that cannot stop if I want sales. Im retired and really just need something to fuss over 10 or 15 hours a week just to stay balanced. I like Japanese toys and would like to list some but not a constant daily requirement. My goal is to have a hobby project and hopefully make a little extra to fund collecting. Question 2. A lot of the toys I buy are in series. 10 figures in a series kind of thing. Is it better to list them as a lot or individually as a rule ( not just Japanese toys) Thank you and my brother-in-law served in the Navy retired in Pensacola. Thank you for your service.
For the store part, there is Shopify. You could put as many items in there as you want and walk away. Theoretically. The problem with that is you have to drive the traffic to your store through advertising, a blog, website, or some other method. If you're good at that sort of thing, then having your own Shopify store could be very successful. We're not good at that sort of thing so we use eBay and the other platforms for selling. Whether to list things individually or in a lot depends on the items. Some do better in lots and others individually. We check comps and do whichever seems best and sometimes they don't sell, so we take the listings down and change them to the other way. -Robert
With clothing another good youtube to watch for keywords is mcthriftzie . She talks about the names of fabrics, sleeve types and stuff like that. It's so hard for me to remember that stuff !
I don't push products I don't believe in. I've made over 900 on the other platforms in the last 30 days so it is worth it. The problems are with the platforms not being as good as eBay, lol.
Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it picks up soon for you. And the offer system is very dumb. Sometimes it's like the people in charge don't look at things from multiple perspectives before making a decision on how something should work.
Hey I have a person trying to get a refund saying I sent him the wrong item. Well he is trying to scam me. What is the number to call customer service?
I dont understand how you make any profit?. If I sell anything under $15 I actually lose money. After deducting 35% in ebay fees, cost of supplys, cost of postage and original price of item there is nothing left, zero profit. How can you make any profit selling items at 8 or 10 dollars???
Buyers pay shipping and my under 1 lb items are flat rate shipping and I make a little handling on most. I buy my items at Goodwill bins and yard/estate sales so I have very little in them. Toys are very cheap to source. In my next what sold video I'll do another breakdown. I'm also being very aggressive in moving old inventory so my profit margins are lower on those items but again still at a profit because my COGs are so low.
I dont want to offend because i know you are a LP influencer and get a little credit for pushing the platform but is it really worth it? Nearly every video you complain of not really selling on other platforms. So are you truly making enough to warrent $99/month? And that's someone with over 10k items on ebay alone. In anycase...I appreciate your videos and your sales, your tips, and of course your banter back and forth with Robert. Haha. Keep on listing!!! And have a great Thanksgiving week ahead!
I do wish I made more sales on the other platforms but in the last 30 days I have made over $900 in sales on the 3 platforms so it is worth it. I would never push any tool that I didn't feel was worth it.
@TheRebelReseller oh that is definitely worth it for you then. You don't seem to be the type to push something you don't like, so i was not trying to imply that. I was leaning more towards you being hopeful that it's working. Keep on listing!! I enjoy watching your success!
I am doing the same thing and a bunch of my old old items sold this week. I am so happy! I also did the thing with the ground advantage shipping you suggested. Very good advice here. Rebel is a great seller!
I'm glad the ground shipping info worked for you too!
Congrats on the sales! Have a superfantastic day!
Thanks, you too!
Very nice sales! Love the Peanuts ornaments.....and everything else! 🎉
Thanks for the video Rebel!

This Q4 has been slower than normal for us too. It's been picking up in the past couple weeks though. Hopefully you sales will too.
Thank you.
Enjoy your videos and have learned a lot from you. I started picking up Jellycat plush recently because of you and they've been selling well for me. Just wanted to say thanks.
Great to hear! Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for your time and video!!
Mercari has been so slow for me too! eBay & posh are good though 😅
Love your videos keep it up 😊

That's also the song they play at Alabama football games. I figured I'd slip it in the video. :)

No joke i just said we need to get this spice rack under control its over flowing. Lol 😂❤
Mine was bad. I threw away things that had expired in 2009. Next, the medicine cabinet.
Good video as always!!!
Great as always😊
Love your videos!!!
Thank you for watching!

Which bins do you prefer in Nashville? I heard the locations were very different
We've done well at both, but typically source more at the Berry Hill location.
Hey Robert - can you please turn the closed captioning back on for your videos? The last 2 it’s not available. :(
I've never done anything with closed captioning on our videos. It's always been added automatically by TH-cam. I will look to see if there's anything I'm missing in the settings but I haven't found anything in my first quick search through them.

@ it’s odd - it was only not available for 2 of your videos. All other creators I watch still had it.

@@TheRebelReseller thanks for your advice.
I swear I don't find Annalee - they find me. I sell TONS of them.

I hope they paid you for that commercial
They LP pushers get paid. I'm not hating on the hustle, just don't think it's worth it for as much as they are not selling on other platforms.

Mercari suddenly just up and died on me. And their offer system is dumb.

@TheRebelReseller yes. It's odd. To both! For a while lately mercari was outperforming poshmark, which is still my main platform.
🎉

The best way is to go through the automated chat and keep asking for a representative.

Hello you 2
Hello
Thanks for watching!

Her cost of goods is very low. She goes to yard sales and the bins. Many of her items she gets for one dollar or less.
Buyers pay shipping and my under 1 lb items are flat rate shipping and I make a little handling on most. I buy my items at Goodwill bins and yard/estate sales so I have very little in them.
