I really like the silent version of the paid promotion. I usually skip past when there's promotions involved just because that's not what I'm here for. But when you do it silently it makes me feel like it's part of the video like I want to see what you're opening up what you're looking at what the snacks might be versus you telling me you're promoting it. It just feels more seamless to the video itself versus a paid promotion I really like it.

@Rass P ➡️🍜You can watch this video by Eric Surf. 🥢At the 4.21 min mark, the video shows you the inside of the noodle vending machine.
🌿 You will get to see how they placed the soba/ramen bowls in a refigerator, and once an order comes in, the bowl slides down to another platform, where hot dashi broth is poured in and the machine kinds of stirs the noodles evenly in the broth.😁 Very interesting, I must say!
      Hope this helps!

the fact that it is right by the road definitely is part of its charm, for me at least. Some of my favourite memories are from stops at gas stations during road trips through europe, where we had mediocre tea or coffee and some mediocre snacks in the middle of the night while trucks and cars are passing by.
Some of the best tea and snacks I've ever had!
You have some chatter in the background, the mosquitos of a typical summer night, the smell of exhaust fumes, faint music from the radio you can hear bc you all eat around the car with open doors. It's dark but the atmosphere is calm and nice. Which is why I love your channel so much, it all reminds me of those moments. Thank you!

That is so cool you can literally have a halfway decent meal for pocket change. You wouldn't be able to do that here in the states, everything is so darn expensive you need a wad of cash. But also countries outside of the states use more coinage than bills and that is why you see more things like these elsewhere than the U.S.. I remember seeing guys from my squadron deployed to Canada able to get drunk on pocket change. We do have dollar coins here but people are very hesitant to use them due mostly because of the in their wallets, that just my thought on the matter. But great video.

  • @TemperedStorm

I agree the Deli Mama sandwich would be considered unusual here in the states. That doesn't mean it won't be delicious; you've shown that it is. It's like when I found out that dry cereal like Corn Flakes are used in parfaits ... it seemed unusual but the flavor/texture combination made sense. Fruit sandwiches in Japan are yet another example. Two slices of white bread with sliced fruit, whipped cream, and custard inside isn't something you see outside Japan.
I enjoy your videos and hope you'll feature more vending machines in the future.

I do plan on going here on the next trip. It’s a little out of the way by transit (for Japan), but a very cool place indeed. I do have a Japanese vintage vending machine book and this one of the special places on it. We got very close to a nifty vending machine stop in Iwakuni about 20 mins walk away from the Kintakyu bridge, but had to take the bus instead of local train to make our Shinkansen time. Next time.

You ate two dishes and a dessert for 7 dollars and still liked it. I miss the time I studied in Nagoya. Japan is a place full of incredible surprises.

I could imagine doing a long drive out of town then found this rest area full of vending machines, like finding a hidden gem. Buying something to eat and having full meal in there with the sound of cars passing by. Food eaten between the trip together with family tastes best! 😍
