I got attractive enough to know what receiving true raw attraction looks like. Unfortunately for me this seems to be exclusively with fat girls or girls with significantly flawed facial features. Neither groups i had any real interest in. At the end of the day, both genders want to be able to desire their partner and I don't fault women for this trait. The problem is the gaslighting men have to go through.

I actually married a very physically fit woman. Not the hottest facially I’ve ever had, but a model shaped body. The face still bothers me and I still want to cheat. She gaslights me instead of hears what I say when I say I’m desiring random side booty. These are her two lone flaws, everything else is impossibly perfect. A friend of mine runs a music studio and this rich guy's wife is always over recording her music. Her husband is a very overweight man whose eyes look like they're going to explode from how high his blood pressure is and my friend is in very good shape and a good face. The only thing I have going for me is my height of 6'2 and that i'm not fat (have abs but 150lbs and low muscle mass). My face is the real problem. Even at this body fat, it's still ugly, with a recessed jaw bad eye area and everything. It takes getting a fresh hair cut and growing my hair out to a certain extent to look like a human being for a while. I'd say even at my very best I'd barely be a 4, and that's me being generous. How much muscle could I add naturally if I took lifting and diet seriously? I'd rather be ugly and strong rather than ugly and twig.

Personally, I don’t have a problem with anyone trying to secure the best possible mate for themselves. I definitely agree that money will never truly compensate for a man’s lack of physical attractiveness assuming they are significantly below average in looks.
However, at the same time I do think a man’s income is still very important to women who don’t make a lot of money themselves, or have to work a shit ton of hours each week just for a mediocre salary. Women who make good money on their own likely value a man’s salary a lot less and value their looks more.
For example, a woman who’s a debt-free doctor or lawyer would probably prefer an attractive man who makes under 6 figures a year over an average looking man who makes well over 6 figures a year. Whereas the opposite would be true for a barista or waitress.
Although I truly believe that unless a woman is really deep in poverty, a sub 5 male will always be seen as undesirable to the vast majority of the female population even if they are rich.
