    If my school librarian looked like that I would have spent lots of hours in the library not reading books. Grace Kelly is timeless

    Sir, I am so grateful for this wonderful footage. The magic between Grace and Ralph was real offstage too, by the way. Grace confided that Ralph Meeker was the best "kisser" she ever knew. - What a delight this is. Again, thank you.

    This was indeed from October 18, 1953, but was aired as a filmed segment on April 15, 1956. A few days later she would be married to Prince Rainier.

      Carolina Tudor Thank you very much for watching. No I am sorry I have no other films of this talented actress. All of my material I personally digitize from 16mm film. These are not shared bootleg copies you find on the Internet. I actually own the original film. Thank you again and have a really great weekend.

    I can ses why Dicaprio used Meeker as his character in Once upon a time in Hollywood.

    • @OfficeofImageArchaeology
      @OfficeofImageArchaeology  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have no idea DiCaprio used Meeker As his character in that movie. I watched it and missed that completely.

    • @castinmeadows6956
      @castinmeadows6956 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      No disrespect intended to DiCaprio, but it's simply a basic fact that he (as both actor and grown male) couldn't touch Meeker (actor and very much a man) with 100,000 ten-foot poles. Credit for DiCaprio's rear-view-mirror glance goes to Tarantino, whose lifetime love of movies puts Meeker among his all-time favorite actors. (Whereas, unfortunately, most Hollywood actors aren't the brightest bulbs in any room. They don't know sh*t about film history, nor about true actor-artists versus popular movie hacks.) Ralph Meeker, though, was peerless. Was in a league all his own, both on and beyond the screen. A phenomenally gifted but criminally undervalued artist, one vastly superior to the interminable mediocrities of the Ho'wood machine - then and now.

      Wow, if you find any of my other offerings that you feel the need to critique by all means feel free. You covered DiCaprio vs Meeker perfectly. Thank you and thank you for watching.

    George Mihal I posted here before, in response to Pete Sapai's post. I was remiss to ask you the burning question: where on earth did you find this incredible and incredibly rare film footage??!! If you would be so kind to answer, but for some reason would prefer to respond via email, for example, pls let me know, and I'll delete this comment. I ask because, for the work I'm doing, I will give attribution to you for this upload AND to your source for the footage.

      First thank you for watching. This is a small clip from an Ed Sullivan show. I found the film on a garage floor in Sacramento a few years ago. I still own the film. I am currently trying to raise money for knew equipment that will be used to reprocess and improve this film as well as so many others that can be found here on my channel. Have a very nice weekend.

      @@OfficeofImageArchaeology Your find: amazing! And to think how many countless treasures have either been lost, were never recorded, or have yet to be 'excavated.' You have rescued this incredible footage out of your own apparent love for such 'oldies but goodies'. You have my unending gratitude, Sir! And much good luck with the raising of funds for the needed equipment (via a generous grant? funding by a movie studio/TV-archive documentation funding? crowd funding?). I'll subscribe to your channel, in event you attempt to raise funds this way from individuals such as myself. Again, thank you ever so much - for your passion, your efforts and generosity to share this footage (and others) with an appreciate world. Take good care, and stay healthy.
