to be honest BJJ is a very good martial art and extremely underrated, it's awesome at 1v1 especially if the fight goes to the ground (of course he needs to grab the MT fighter too, otherwise he can just kick him) and like 90% of fights go to the ground.
MT is also a good style but I think it's very overrated, yeah it's a very good style but it isn't like "the best martial art" or "if you know it them you can beat whoever you want", I think it's more like: if you know both you're good enough to, idk, be a drug dealer or something.@@fixed5724

Jiu Jitsu is a grappling art which is basically wrestling with chokes and joint locks with some that can break your bones and ligaments while Muay Thai is like kick boxing which is punching and kicking. Knowing this you can distinguish the two in every fight I hope this helps 👍🏼

Straight BJJ will always beat Straight MT in a real fight.
Depends on the level and where the BJJ guy has been training. Alot of guys out of commercial gyms like Gracie Barra have no takedowns/only know how to pull guard and only train in the gi would get smoked by a world class muay thai fighter.
Theres no way the average Bjj guy will sweep a muay thai fighter in the clinch, but if they can implement a takedown then the fights as good as over.
If you can wrestle AND know BJJ then you can dominate.
Number one skill of an effective striker is take down defense, number two is not getting tangled up, number three is breath control, number four is striking.
Most strikers only focus on striking, #4, and that's why grapplers so easily spoil them
