Great video! That triple was ridiculous! And in regards to the small hooks, I've have noticed that my hookup rate has increased with smaller hooks, at least in trout and salmon. It may be because with larger hooks the fish may be able to get more leverage and twist it out. Just a theory.
Pro tip, you need a rod, reel and line that can handle the fish. If you got a noodle rod and reel, you won't be able to control the fish. That means it will run and tangle other rigs near by and piss people off. The guy yelling control that fish was joking.
The goal for that fishery is to catch and keep. That's all he was referring to. I don't think he meant to imply that having few wild fish is a good thing.
Guy screaming to another boat in the background "You gotta control that fish". How relaxing 😂
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for showing the rigs and bait.
I have fished Drano twice. Never scored myself , but my partner did....the triple is exciting! Had those at Bouy 10 on Coho once!
That's black belt guiding for sure. Great job!!
I love the guy in the background hey you need to control that fish. Yes that’s so easy fish run dude
Nice job on the triple!!!🎣🎣

YES! OKUMA Guide select 10'6" paired with the Coldwater Stainless Steel line counter reels, tough to beat!
Great video, thanks for sharing some valuable tips. I have to get me a gofish camera!!
I’ve never seen a triple in drano before, have seen doubles even had one in our boat in the middle of the lake. Good day
Turvey! Nice show! Topsy Turvey for the win!
Guys cool!!! Great video. Thanks
How many feet of line do you usually let out at drano? I know for a fact they usually let out 75 ft of line out in the columbia
Lots shorter on Drano just because the boats are close together. At the beginning of the episode Chris says 25' & 30' .
Thank you so much! Nice TH-cam channel love it!
Your fishing heavy leads and trying to stay near your boat and bottom its about 30 feet deep on average so most won't go past 30 on the counter.
Justin do you know how much dropper is he running on the lead?
Probably a half ounce or ounce weight
@@alwayscatchinsomethin2575? He runs 8-16oz
What size bead was he running with the mini cut plug
Guessing 6mm. You could contact Chris Turvey and ask.
When you catch a king do you go to the outside, in the center of the trolling circle, or is everyone supposed to move around you?
depends, but mostly people go around you. it is a sight to see.
@John Brennan cause the trolling circle goes to #%@% as soon as a fish is caught?
How the hell do you guys not tangle with the 490 other boats
25 pounds is perfect not to heavy not to lite
“Luckily they’re not many wilds” why is that a good thing?

Really if we could just clip no fish, get limits and call it a good day. Who could disagree?
@@brianfarmer6223 Ideally all our fish would be wild. Those days are gone though
👍
👍🤙😎
Yummy
Used to be a cool fishery , before all the guides....
