I thought this was a great video and great overview of an excellent book. I find it a shame people have chosen to word comments as they have. Don’t let that knock your confidence or inspiration to make more great videos like this one.
    My very best regards
    Greg

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment, Greg.🤗 It's great to hear that you enjoyed it, and honestly, every time I put out a video, I have to be prepared that it's not to everyone's cup of tea, but reading comments like yours is truly encouraging and am so grateful. My next video coming out will be showing Volume 2 of this beautiful Bible :)

New subscriber here. In northern New York between Massena and Plattsburgh. I got an exact copy of this gorgeous work for $8-10 all told and it was new/used. Hardly a blemish! Love it and I will check out some of your work. 😊

Thank you so much for the sub🤗 And you are soooo lucky to get it for that price! I’m so jealous 😅 I checked EBay before ordering and even used ones there were still kinda pricey…sigh….

Please don't take the Lord's name in vain. One person I know who is enthusiastic about the WOF Bible describes it as being great for people who find the Bible overwhelming and that it "spoon feeds" them in his words, I am not sure that is the right phrasing since it doesn't treat you like a baby or dumb it down but I think the idea is that it makes it feel easier to delve into for those who would have a hard time sitting down with the plain text.

I'm truly sorry if it has come across to viewers that I'm taking the Lord's name in vain by calling this Bible an art book and concentrating mostly on the "superficial" aspects of the Bible, namely the pieces of art in it. My channel being an art channel, my intent was to share my real-time reaction to the paintings, etchings, etc. and as you can see from the video, I was truly excited to see how the beauty of the art work reflects the beauty of the Word of God. To quote Bishop Barron, the "aesthetic beauty of art shows the power of God in Christ." And I do agree in the observation that WOF makes it easier for someone who might be intimidated with just reading plain text. WOF is an evangelical organization so this Bible making it easier for a non-Christian to at least open up a Bible and read is most likely intentional. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I appreciate it🤗

@@EmmyMW I don't know how art can be considered anything superficial when it's the most beautiful thing you can possibly have in this world capable of telling meaningful stories and bringing joy and inspiration to other peoples life and without it I would've more then likely taken my life by now. Art has genuinly helped me through some really rough shit in my life a whole lot more than religion ever did. In some areas of christianity like the pentacostal belief they actually teach that it's wrong for men and woman to wear certain clothing and look a specific way, like men are not to have long hair, woman are not to wear pants for any reason, neither are to wear jewlery or ear piercings of anykind etc. Then they try to shoe horn in some spirital crap about your body being some sort of temple for this "god" when in reality the whole focous around that is about as superficial as it gets. Not to be an attack on you, but I can't stand comments like the OP's who act like you can't talk about their precious spiritual book in any other way even if the referral is in good taste just because it's "the lords book" give me a break.

@@Ransome1690 Thank you soooo much for such an insightful comment. To be fair, I am not still totally sure with the OP's first sentence. I re-watched the video to see if I said something inappropriate and when I didn't hear anything that might be construed as offensive, I assumed that that's what she meant🤷🏽‍♀ And what you said about religion and some of its aspects totally resonated with me. As someone born Catholic, I've certainly had my ups and downs with how I felt about my faith, even at one point considering converting to something else. I am now in a place where I feel at peace with my relationship with Catholicism. And yes....I 100% agree with what you said about art being such an inspiration and a shining light for so many of us. Perhaps, "superficial" should not have been the word I used, but unfortunately, some do see it as such.
Thank you so much again for your comment:)

No, that is not an art book. It has a few illustrations. That is all. Books have had illustrations since the invention of the printing press in 1440CE.
An "art book" is something else entirely.

Thank you for taking the time to comment:) And yes...many people would probably agree with you that it's not an art book. I do, however, think it is, especially now that I've read some of the essays. It's the same way I consider (for example) Van Gogh's bio by Naifeh and Smith an art book even though it's a biography. It has only a few illustrations, but talk in detail about Van Gogh's process and art, so I learned a lot about art too. Word On FIre is kinda the same for me....especially after reading the essays. I learned about the art of some of the works of these artists, albeit the interpretation did have a religious slant🤗
