I’ve been using MaxPower Twisted for a while now it’s great on a Echo Speedfeed head holds 15’ of .095. A lot of lawn care guys put the Echo speedfeed head on other trimmer brands.. seems to be the go to.
I have the Milwaukee battery weed wacker with brush cutting attachment and the pole chainsaw attachment I’ve had it going on 4 years and it still works perfectly and with the 12 ah battery I trim my whole yard and house and driveway it’s a fairly big yard and driveway aswell. But if that Husqvarna weed wacker is as good as it looks you’ll will love it for many years. Thanks for the demonstration and best of luck with all the storm clearing.
I heard trimmer line goes bad after a couple years. Some say to soak it in water. If the line is plastic and you keep it out of the heat and sunlight I would think it would perform better. I have had some line that after a couple of years would break quickly in heavy grass - so I tossed it. Looking forward to see how the lines perform after you used them for several weeks.
Good afternoon. I run a FS 311, it's the bottom of the Professional line, so it can power the metal blades for brush. I run the .095 X-line, same issue, winding on the head, fine line between too loose and too tight. My brother in law has a FS 56, handles it, but it knows it's there. Especially in heavy KY Bluegrass.
Nice comparison Andrew. There are a bunch of different string types out there. I'm in agreement, most are better than small dia. round line. That big Hipa spool will last a few summers I bet! Lol!
Good to know! That round stuff wears out much too quickly, and yet I still have a few more years worth of it to eat up. But I'll check out HIPA when it's time for some new string.
I really appreciate yoou making me feel like an idiot. I've been taking the spool out of mine, winding it by hand then reinstalling the spool back in the housing....sheesh
great video Andrew a simple question never thought to do a comparison but should have thought about that , i have started getting a little more expensive line but not considered going away from the round line now I am thinking about that very thing Thank you for this video
@@TKCL I soak my lines about 48 hrs before hand if not the smaller rolls put them in a gallon bag of water. I do it especially over here because of the low humidity, but at the same time if you're going to leave them somewhere in the open sun-wise it prevents them from drying out and being brittle and snapping
What brand of weedeater was that I have one with the same wind up and bump Advanced from green works. But the guard is so small you get destroyed with stuff flying all over your legs. I like the one that you have because it has a bigger Guard on it
anything that has flat areas on it is going to be less aerodynamic than regular round string, and will put drag on the equipment without even cutting grass
Thanks! I've often wondered this very question and have experimented with different types, but never put them up side by side. Well done, my friend.
Thank you Mr Gray!
Hi Andrew, I like learning something new every time you post. Very interesting on the weed eater lines. Very good information to have. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Hi, Andrew! You teach me something new every time I watch one of your videos.
Glad you like them!
i was waiting for a snake to show up! then i could see you hop in bob with the cutter attachment and mow it all down in on swipe! 😂😂😂
You'd see a shotgun 🤣
@@TKCL lol bob is closer unless you had one off camera in the shed!

So far I'm loving my Husqvarna battery equipment.

I just heard about the water thing myself.

Great review! But more impressed with the battery system

Lol not all have quick spool heads.
@@TKCL true, but I bought a Stihl quick spool and forgot it was a quick spool so I've been winding it the old retarded way LOL

Go for it!
If that hard-to-wind string cuts the best, just wind a few feet at a time. Andrew, you did say that it didn't fray, so it will last.
None of the better lines seem to gray, that's a good thing.
Great video. Thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching!
I soak my weed eater string in water to put moisture into the strings because they dry out and they'll break a lot easier
Great to know, I need to try that.

I use 2.4 mm round wire for my stihl fs 94 rc brush cutter and also for my dece honda umk 425
Good day to all.
Andrew have you ever heard of keeping your line in water to keep pliable?
that’s just not something people will not do. i’m not disagreeing with the science , just the reality.
I have not, but it's been a popular suggestion.
Throw all that string away. Getcha some Echo Black Diamond String Trimmer Line!! That stuff will cut through concrete💪🏾💪🏾
Soak the stilh line over night and then see if it will become more pliable. Maybe it will
Thanks
Usually the manufacturer recommends water soaking line for 24 hrs
lol, 😂

Nice comparison...if possible, set the line in the sun for a little while to limber up - it winds way better when you do.
Andrew, Just wondering how old was standard original line. It does make a difference if the plastic is old.
Only a few months old, I just bought the string trimmer.

when you adoperate a brushcutter is better wear long pants for your legs at least being protect it
Test
Doesn’t work with small fat hand.
Have you tried Husqvarna TitaniumXpro it works really well
No I have not, there's so many options out there.
