Great video. Very gentle and caring. I've done this many times over the years and I've found that having a towel over the chicken really helps while she's in the epsom salts bath. Chickens get really calm and reduced stress when the are in a bit of darkness. Best wishes from the UK x
Very hard to cure unless you catch it real early. Just went through this with one of my chickens. By the third day it was obvious she was suffering and hardly moving. Had a date with the hatchet. I did try mono stat and the bathing. Vinegar and probiotics with oregano too.
Yes it is. I'm on Day 9 or 10 and it's not really getting better, although my hen is still eating well. All she does is pick at her bum all day. I'm trying antibiotics as a last resort, but yeah, I spent the morning watching euthanasia videos :(
@@rochelle3799 I’m so sorry! It took a couple of weeks to clear up for my hen. We all watch videos like this. But not all situations are the same. We have to do whatever is best for our animals good or bad. Take care and hope she gets better for you. God bless!
I tried everything as well & it wouldn't get better. I finally remembered gentian violet was used on thrush/yeast infections, so I thought might as well try it & it worked! I still gave ACV w/oregano, then swabbed my hen's cloaca with the gentian violet...this went on for 2 weeks then it cleared. Just another idea 🤔
you've got a gorgeous flock of humans and animals! Thank you for taking care of your hen, and sharing this innformation
Thank you!
