Sorry, I had to say this to clarify for those who do actually think that Emo is related to Goth.
They are related. They come from the same roots. Goth comes from post-punk, and emo comes from post-hardcore. Both come from punk. Although I bet you dont even know the history of emo in the first place. Emo is almost as old as goth.

So fun story.. my mother worked with a woman in a printing press factory. This woman had a bunch of piercings all connected by chain (nose, nipple.. ect.) They were working one day and the chain got caught in a machine... and ripped out EVERY piercing..
when I was in elementary school I started taking the bus after school to the high school cause my mom worked there. It was like first day getting off the bus there and I had never seen the front with all the high schoolers out and about. I was probably standing there like a little statue all scared.. and one of the Goths came up to me black trench coat nose to ear piercing the hair makeup yah know similar to the rock Goth at the end and asked me if I needed help and told him I needed to go to my mom's classroom... and took me to my mom's room.

Never really been into the Goth scene probably because I found more in common with metalheads. But, I dig the cyber goth and industrial look because of cyber metal bands and industrial bands/artists like Celldweller, KMFDM, and others.
