    This was so outside my comfort zone, but I did it! What have you done that's terrified you?

    I had no idea you van climb the o2 arena. It does look tense and I know I'd be pretty nervous doing that! I'm fine with heights but I still get a bit of that 'jelly' feeling. I always think its good to push ourselves out our comfort zones whenever we can as they produce the best experiences :)

    • @TwoTravelingTexans
      @TwoTravelingTexans  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly! I am fine with heights most times too, but never did any kind of climb like this.

    That looks like a great adventure to do this kind of climbing and to try champagne at the end. This reminds me sitting on the edge of tv tower last year. Great adventure! Thank you for sharing ;)

    What a nice view at the top of O2, of course you have to celebrate. We once did a zipline through the biggest canyon in Mexico. It turns out to be spectacular in the end.

    This looks like a lot of fun! Do they have an age limit for doing this? I'd love to do it with my boys.

    • @TwoTravelingTexans
      @TwoTravelingTexans  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have all the details in my blog post: Children are allowed on the Up at The O2 climb provided they are over the age of 9, at least 1.2 meters tall, and accompanied. The details depend on the age of the children: Nine year olds must be accompanied by at least one adult per child. If the kids are between 10 and 12, you need 1 adult per 2 kids. If the children are between 13 to 17 years old, the ratio is 4 per adult.
      I hope you all get to do it! There were kids in the group behind.

    Ah, I really want to do this! Good for you for giving this a go, especially as it's out of your comfort zone. That walk up did look pretty daunting... It's a long way too! I've lived around London for so long, but I've never got around to doing this. I like the view from the cable car right next to the O2.

    Great job! I took Mrs MetalMan up and over there 3 years ago when we saw Fleetwood Mac at the O2 and we were going to do it again last year, on a night time, when we went back to see Black Sabbath but it was booked solid for the evening we wanted BOO. Hmmm, what terrifies me well, not a big fan of cows (except on a plate surrounded by chips and mushrooms), although I am meeting a mate in the Lake District tomorrow, to climb Helvellyn going over Striding Edge and coming back vi Swirral Edge, now that will have my blood pumping, I can tell you that now. Cheers and well done, Alan

    • @TwoTravelingTexans
      @TwoTravelingTexans  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Glad to hear you enjoyed it too. Hmm I am curious what made you not like cows?

    • @AlanMETALMAN
      @AlanMETALMAN 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Two Traveling Texans - we were out hiking 2 years ago and surrounded by about 15 aggressive young cows. We could not move and had our backs to a 6 foot high barbed wire fence, so my £150 jacket came off and laid on the barbed wire, so we all went (very quickly) 'through' the fence to escape them. My coat was ripped to shreds and my distrust/like of cows started.

    That is a really steep climb! But what a great view at the top. The thing that you are walking on doesn't look like it was completely solid. Was it bouncy?

    • @TwoTravelingTexans
      @TwoTravelingTexans  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's made of the same material as the roof and yes it moves. They tell you not to bounce. Every so often you cross planks which are solid
