The Poonsawasdi - The First Hotel in Chiang Khan !
I felt like I was stepping back in time, as I checked into this traditional Isaan style accommodation house, right in the heart of the city center, in beautiful Chiang Khan, Loei Province, Northern Issan Thailand.
I stayed for a couple nights in a snug, comfortable and amazingly quiet (given the hotel's close proximity to hustle and bustle of Walking Street etc.), sleep. 😴
Some of the facilities (as well as the plethora of curious memorabilia), are a little bit 'old school' and in the concert with the unobtrusive service, that is actually one of many, of the great pluses in staying here, as it feels like an authentic local Thai travel experience.
My room was on the second floor, with a small balcony, standard sized double bed, extra sofa, plus work station space and strong air-conditioning.
Charming decor, central location and a reasonable tariff, adds up to a most pleasingly different hotel experience here.
