I think I may have Cushing Disease. Since 3 and a half I have gained so much weight. Especially around my belly I have so much fat that I have to wear trousers for pregnant women. It's difficult to find clothes that fit I can only wear casual clothes and I like to be pretty. My face is swollen. Actually everything is swollen. I have acne all over my face. My sweat smells really strange. My muscles are aching. They will do a lot of tests. I hope they will find something. I' m from Belgium. I would like to share experiences with other people having the same kind of health problems.

      Hows it going?
I am in the same boat. I've been trying to figure out why I gained so much weight and this started about 14 years ago.I have almost every symptom. Having trouble with drs believing that I dont over eat.

@@lauraapalmerr can you get into see an endocrinologist?Talk then into letting you do late salivary cortisol tests and 24 hour urines. You can still have normal tests if you have cyclical cushings.Keep searching for an endo who will do the testing you need.I finally got an apt with supposedly really good endo near me.He specializes in hard to diagnose cushings. Can you share your story with me?I thought this was gonna be a quick process once another dr brought cushings up to me.No.Its been almost a year of frustration.

After telling all my doctors that my fatigue is severe, off the charts. I was originally diagnosed with MS, then a few years ago hypothyroidism, now more specifically hashimotos/ hypothyroidism, and even more recently possible cushing's disease.
At this point I don't know exactly what I have. I need to find a doctor that can figure it out. So tired, running out of energy and time.

They need to stop messing with your health and refer you to an endocrinologist consultant, it annoys me that the Gp.doesnt refer on to a specialist in the field

How did you all get diagnosed? I keep asking my doc for a test because refuses because my blood tests (CBC) is “normal”

    • @huitrecouture
      @huitrecouture 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

CBC has nothing to do with it get a different doctor. You at least need a Dex suppression test.
Here’s the initial testing for Cushing’s
      Tests to check overall health
      • CMP comprehensive metabolic panel
      • CBC complete blood count
      • hemoglobin 1ac
      • Vitamin D
      • Vitamin B12
      Pituitary & Adrenal hormones
      • 8am cortisol
      • 8am ACTH (plus took ACTH 3 PM when in AFIB)
      • DHEA-S
      • IGF-1 (for growth hormone)
      • FSH
      • LH
      • SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin)
      • Prolactin
      • Estradiol
      • Progesterone
      • Testosterone, total + bio available
      • TSH thyroid
      • Free T-3
      • Free T-4
      • Reverse T-3
      • Aldosterone
      • renin
      Cortisol Testing
      • 24hr UFC x 3 (urine cortisol)
      • Midnight saliva cortisol x 3
      • Low dose dexamethasone suppression test
The low dose dexamethasone test should be done last as it will affect other testing for up to 2 weeks after you take the dexamethasone dose.

Push for a referral to an endocrinologist because you can still have normal results and have symptoms because the doctor is not speciaalised in blood and hormones like an endocrinologist consultant
