But looking at it now, if Trent REALLY holds Liverpool dear to his heart, (in which by not committing, shows that maybe his love for Liverpool isn't as pure as we all believe) he wouldn't leave on a free and would commit his short term future to Liverpool if anything, even if it means a slight increase in his wages. Have a release clause to go to Real Madrid in 2 or 3 years time should he feel the need for something new, if Real are able to or want to activate the release clause. Real only want him because he's available on a free. But looking at it now, if Trent REALLY holds Liverpool dear to his heart, (in which by not committing, shows that maybe his love for Liverpool isn't as pure as we all believe) he wouldn't leave on a free and would commit his short term future to Liverpool if anything, even if it means a slight increase in his wages. Have a release clause to go to Real Madrid in 2 or 3 years time should he feel the need for something new, if Real are able to or want to activate the release clause. Real only want him because he's available on a free. Trent helped create this problem but not advocating for his contract to be sorted years ago, so the Liverpool fans shouldn't allow him to avoid criticism. All parties are to blame for this!
