Near Iowa City? Been on I 80 a few times. You might have passed a lady in a black truck with a green and yellow canned ham camper. Probably saying a few choice words at me because I always drove 55, because it saved gas and kept the trailer from swinging too much.
@@husbandandwifeteam I've traveled alot the past four years and each year got a little worse. The truckers were good and left me alone, but there was one creepy experience where I pulled into an unofficial rest area that truckers just used to rest. I no sooner got my stuff situated so I could sleep when I got a creepy feeling about a trucker behind me. I believe the Creator gave us those instincts to keep us safe, so I got outta there.
Smart you left. It is always better to be safe. I have been teaming for 7 years now with the husband. I've had one creepy rest area experience that made me nervous. I went into the ladies room. I chose the middle stall. I heard someone come in and enter the stall to my left. The next thing you knew the person was making a lot of sounds, talking, grunting, and I was thinking wait till they leave. Just wait until they leave. Finally, they left. I came out and headed to the truck. My husband was sitting in the passenger seat. From where we were parked and the rest areas class windows you could see the ladies room door. I asked my husband did you see someone come out before me. He said, "yes, a big guy came out before you.". I was thinking of boy!!!

We drove I-80 a lot. Right now we are running I-40 Nashville to California.
