Serbia has endorsed a key element of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s global vision during his trip to Belgrade. Xi said the visit, the second stop on his European tour, opened “a new chapter” in bilateral relations. The Chinese leader met his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic on May 8, 2024. The countries signed a pledge to deepen and elevate their relationship as well as announced plans to “build a community with a shared future”.
