Enel is such a well designed leader, its effect is evergreen so it will never be bad, with its current lists its got inevitability so the longer a game goes the harder it is to win cause their top decks are usually better than yours and it sits in the position of meta gatekeeper(if your deck cant beat Enel its not meta viable). Its my friend favourite deck so ive been playing against it constantly since 05 and it always is a great game when he plays it.
Hey man really appreciate all the time you put into this channel. Its almost become a daily watch with my coffee in the mornings. I know you dont do green decks but Ive been playing with kinemon a lot lately and hes gotten a lot of good support
I think he's in a healthy position right now. Will always be a competitive deck with his ability but glad it's not one of the best decks in the format.
I dont hate Enel the leader, i hate unrestricted high cost yellow characters that gain life and do something else on top of that because there the cards that tale Enel from being a cool leader to a bloody nightmare All it takes is for them to print a new 7,8,9,10 cost yellow character that gains a life and removes something on your side or draws them cards or gains rush or has banish and it will get even better and better Its like why even print 10 cost Ace or 9 cost Yamato when it would be more fitting to just make those card designs be sky island type characters so atleast when ur constantly dealing with it for sets on end, its themeatic and fun to looks at
Not a big fan of Enel tbh, most of the choices feel like a mistake against him, attacking feels bad because he gets cards on hand and wants to stay low on life, not attacking helps him anyway and even when with a healthy board you can get cheesed by a trigger
Re: 1:08 See the thing is normally this is the case (and still kinda is for Enel) but with Enel you can be pretty average or even a beginner at the game sometimes, and you can win with him, as evidenced by you saying that if you're a new player, Enel is perfect for playing. You can win, with him, and not learn much about the meta, or anything since no other deck plays like him (so you shouldn't transfer any Enel fundamentals to other decks) and you don't necessarily HAVE to learn the rest of the decks you're playing against too much to do well. On the contrary... you can do 5D chess, big brained, galaxy mind plays against Enel, and still just lose. Just lose. Last life is Bege, or 0c Event. Or literally most anything, and they get free wins. They don't have to think. They don't have to do much of anything except survive till end game, and almost every deck will last till end game, except maybe hyper aggressive decks like Zooro, IF they draw everything they need and Enel sees none of his removal or curve. Idk... people complain about Nami, but she's fine. Enel is the cursed deck lol
Playing enel made me realize I was a yellow player. At first his ability sounds broken but i feel likes he’s pretty fair. I don’t blow opponents out of the water unless they don’t know what he does or his play style.
Hi Vv I have been running the build you did for sabo on my locals, I have keep losing to kata and enel players even though I win against all the other colours do you have any tips to play against them? Btw I love you videos and ry sabo is the best 😊
Our hardest counter is Kata/Enel, Enel you have to go to late game with and try to out grind them with high value plays and relying on your bigger bodies and going wide battling for board etc. Katakuri is the opposite in my experience, if you don't run them over early on and put on relentless pressure, your chances are slim to none at beating Katakuri in the late game. Their Leader effect directly counters ours by moving our Trigger cards to where they want them and then also ripping Life cards with Linlin's etc. It's the decks only real nightmare matchup. The crappy part is they both require different answers (Katakuri more Aggro, Enel more top end). If you figure anything out on the matchup by all means report back, it's a tough matchup for us for sure.
What are your thoughts on 2c shirahoshi blocker instead of bonney? While bonney is very good for card draw she is pretty useless if you cant get her out on your second turn other than her trigger of course. I prefer the 2c blocker more because it is extremely useful into black and can help stall out aggro decks such as zooro.
@@yusefmarini5759 I think being very selective with your Raigo's (Kingdom Come Event) is the way to go, you have to save them for specifically cards that can't really be dealt with otherwise (like 9c Zoro) and be patient. I think some people go the starvo strategy as well so that they can get full value Gedatsu's to pop Cavendish and Urouge. I also don't think it would be horrible to not swing every now and then so that you can go tall and wide while remaining at a safe Life Count.
Mirror matches can be really hard, because not only do you have to make better decisions than your opponent, but sometimes going first/second provides an advantage and other times better pulls/worse pulls complicate things further.
I tried to find the discord I'm just not sure how could I get some help because I have a deck I wanna run in a local tournament it's not been seen to often I think. It's a red black garp
Enel its a leader like no other. more in the vein of Nami kind gimmiky. no other leader could maintain such a deck likre this with no engine, no bloquers, no searchers, full of bricks and an awfull curve. to me its like a ticking bomb just waiting for another generic strong yellow card to brake the meta again.
It still basically blows all other Yellow decks which I hate because nothing is better than it and it gives yellow decks a bad reputation. The exception is like B/Y Luffy but we already know what makes that deck op. *wink wink*

More enel, please. My Katakuri wants vengeance.
I might of got lucky but I did beat an Enel with a Kalgara deck i was shocked myself. Fun match.

Thank you so much I will keep practicing with this deck and once I win my store tournament it will be thanks to you 🙏🙏

Definitely a solid replacement, that Shirahoshi is very solid 💪
@@Vvulfrik if you don’t mind me asking, how do we deal with the Bonney matchup?

Yo man the video is great. Dont you think cost7 enel is good for the lucci matchup?
Ya 7c Enel is solid against Lucci
How do you beat the mirror matchup?

my god i hate going against enel such an annoying match, I swear it makes me wanna crash out ( "GEt GuD sCrUB" shut up I know 🤣)
