Hi Billy, I'm also with Filipina, but only 18 years difference. Best woman I have ever met, doesn't really do tampo, treats me like a king. I know there are Filipina scammers, but on the whole they seem less complicated than Thai, and it seems easier to find a good one, even if there is a large age difference. Just spent 4 months in province, loved it, even with the roosters, karaoke, tricycles and the hand tractors. Also loved the ease with how we were able to visit Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. Back in UK, sorting things out with a view to a permanent move to Phils.
After 22 years in Thailand my advice ....for what it's worth. Try to keep the costs down and enjoy the ride.

You do what you want your Thai, I can,t stop you. Although the same goes with me, up to you up to me. That's how I,ve lived it the last 25 years . The first 3 or 4 it took me about 3 holidays to learn to take it easy.

She doesn't ask me for money but, I would gladly help her out if she needed it. When we go to a mall or other store I always ask her if she needs anything. She always says, "no dahling!!" We spent 3 weeks recently in bkk , it was amazing .. they want kindness yes and manners. Keep your head too yes , don’t have to be rich no just comfortable and happy as can be. First story - If she is close to 50 I doubt she is after his money. Go visit her and try living with her for a few months. In my experience there is a massive difference between a long distance relationship and actually living together, that is the REAL test! Don't dwell on her past, we all have one! The second story - well to be blunt what 23yr old girl would want to hook up with a 60+ yr old man unless there was something in it for her? I know 60 is the new 40 and a lot of men if they stay in shape lay off the booze and eat well can look very young in their 60's (me included! most people think I am 42!). I have dated much younger girls and you just have to get used to the stares and the comments behind your back but really it is nobodies business what 2 consenting adults want to do with their lives. If the girl was 15 then yes that's a bit off but 23? she is a grown adult. I watch all these Tha channels and find them really entertaining. I plan my first trip to Thailand in March. Really looking forward to it. So thanks. I concern is I don't seem to fit well into the average guy who write into you'all. Two wives, deceased, four children and eight grandchildren. I have liked women from 18 to 22 all my life. As I grow older it never seems to change. If a young lady is a good actor as well as looking and makes me feel liked I really don't care much about the money. My kids are all very well off and I really don't have to be concerned with leaving them anything. If she costs 2,000 or 9,000 or whatever BAHT a night I really don't care. However I am intelligent enough not to buy real estate or anything else that is long term. Sick buffalo, hurt brother, sick mom, etc is ok with me as long as she's a good actor and great to look at as well as please me. I'll be 81 in March when I arrive. My only concern is setting standards for those other travelers who money is important.

I would say that there is a few genuine Thai girls out there but this guy needs to do a lot more research, as many girls are very plausible with pictures and stories of home etc. Her having been to Sweden and had Breast implants it would be my guess????? That she possibly has a few different sponsors 😊😊. Sometimes the money requests don't come too quick and can be part of a longer plan. 2nd story!!! This guy had presents of mind to be stricken and boot her out. The only mistake he made was to let her in ,in the first place when she appeared with her bags .but again, they can be very convincing. Here is another business idea one Dutch farang told me about.
Private Adult Club. The Dutch told me how he set it up: he rents a villa or pent house, invites a lot of local girls to come and party - free drinks food, pool, karaoke etc. And you invite foreigners to come visit his party too - first you charge them a small entrance "cover fee" to pay for drinks etc. It is absolutely worth it and many people would like to come - he just goes to bars and invites people he likes "to his the private party". After you build a good "customer" list you start charging a small membership fee and make it "by invitation" only.
You can make different theme parties and age groups etc ex: kink men 50+ only etc.
The Dutch man told me he had a few clubs like this in different cities in Thailand and was going set up in Vietnam too.

In the first story, the man appears to have no reason to distrust the lady, so I would say give her a chance. She probably has been a bar girl at some stage, but probably not now. She’s knocking on a bit, and possibly genuinely wants to find a decent man. I would tread carefully, but give it a go.
The second story. I would definitely give this woman a body swerve. We all want to be kind, but boundaries need to be set, and intentions and expectations made clear. I would say that’s pretty much the same with all women really.

I have a question of my own Dan I meet up with my online Thai teacher who lives in a small town in Thailand back before Covid happen she came to Pattaya to meet me we went out for a drink and a chat ended up playing pool and she was so shit at pool I mean had no idea what way to hold the clue stick did not know bigs to small balls .. I hope so and from the people I have spoken to who have been scammed they are normally careful but they all seem to have a similar weakness when it comes to women, even women from their own Countries 🤷
