    Hi Jenny, a little tip when painting yellow over black is to paint white primer (Vallejo or Tamiya) first then the yellow won't look washed out. I made a brazier out of a model oil drum and a flickering led tea light insides. These are cheap here (🇦🇺) at 6 dollars for 4 in our equivalent of a pound shop. Enjoyed the vid, made me late for work! Stay safe

    Nice. I bought the barrel and wood pile fire a year or so ago and I added more wood to hide the base and painted. I bought another pile later and barrels from another seller. All run off my 12v lighting hubs (I have 3 with 14 ports each).

    Hi have enjoyed your videos everyone classic, just plucking up the courage to a Dapol GWR signal and some yard and tidying my test track, also looking to add a Caugemaster combi controller to add some more flexible operation

    Thank you Jenny, very interesting video, as usual! I'm tempted to try a couple of the Eckon signal kits now, and those fire effects are wonderful, thank you for the recommendations! I hope you and Zoe are well. I love watching your streams, reviews, kitbuilds, anything really, always cheers me up. Take care.

    Super video Jen as always they all look good a cheep way of making fire effects or loco fire glow is a cheep candle tea light led effect from cheapo shops if you wrap some cotton wool painted grey black around the led looks like smoke, do not forget to add a 1k resistor to the wire..P.S. the metal from a pencil rubber makes a fine braxier.Hope this made Spence. Love the vids all the best to you and Zoe👍

    Hi Jenny, as far as I remember, speed restriction signs were painted yellow after the very snowy winter of 62/63, the white got lost in the overall whiteness of the snow. So if your layout is pre 62 they should be white, from 63 on they would be yellow. Those of us of a certain age remember that winter, in the south of England the snow arrived on Boxing Day, and lasted through March and beyond, while I was struggling through to the Guildford Tech every day by bus!

    Bet you could procure a smoke unit and have little tendrils of smoke coming through small pin holds in/around the campfire and barrel.

    • @JenniferEKirk
      @JenniferEKirk  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is an idea, though space under the baseboard is severely limited.

      @@JenniferEKirk Fish aquarium tubing could allow you to house the unit elsewhere and then vent the smoke over to the desired area. A T-junction would mean you could feed both areas from the same smoke unit.

    Hi Jenny. Love watching your videos and OFC the Jenny Monday club. I wonder if you have considered interviewing "Tony North Eastern" if you havent seen it he has built a superb replica of South Shields station ferrying Mrs Arkwright to meet her sister at "Newhassle " station. I think his modelling is superb and he has a great dry sense of humour as well as excellent modelling skills. He may OFC not wish to come on but please invite him if you think he would make a good interviewee.

    Hi Jenny, love your videos. I want to put in 4 two aspect berko signals on my layout. However I only have two gauge master combi controllers. Can I power more than 1 signal using the 12v output on one controller, with different switches? Or can I only have two signals? (one powered by each controller) I’d really appreciate your help. I’ve tried asking around but nobody seems to answer my question, thank you in advance! (00 gauge DC)

    • @samuelives20
      @samuelives20 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Or would you recommend another way of powering these signals?

    • @JenniferEKirk
      @JenniferEKirk  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can power multiple signals from one controller.

    Great video as usual. One thing though, you would not have a telephone on a distant signal.
