I grew up watching Donna Reed. Loved her tv show, loved her movies. I guess you could say I loved her, she was the beauty I hoped to become. Ahh, childhood dreams 🙂
I grew up Watching Donna Reed and her wonderful TV Show she was a Very Lovely Woman and a Very Lovely Person. She was a very Sweet and Lovely Lady. She Made you happy watching her show it was a Joy I will never Forget Her. Thank You for This Post.
Not sure there's any point in engaging with somebody who calls me "dumb," or celebrates a generation that hadn't even gotten around to the civil rights movement, women's liberation, or acknowledging the existence of the LGBTQIA community. These are the very "infrastructures" and oppressive ideologies we are STILL working to dismantle. The BEST? For WHO? LMFAO
This was the best generation. People wernt dying inside with technology. Their was great music lovley music. Not like now where every song is about sex and auto tuned it's horrible. Back then was just better and I hoped I wished then than now. And I'm only 18.
Wonderful Story ....I too have a collection of letters written by Services men during the War to an Actress a B one no less Virginia De Luce there are about 30 letters and photos I got years ago to add to my WW2 Collection.
Unlike Marlene Dietrich who used her appearances for self-promotion (per her own daughter) or to hook up with servicemen, like Bette Davis, Donna Reed did her part unselfishly. She was my favorite TV mom in the early 60's and her stock just went through the ceiling in my book.
This is so special! I just created a group page for dear Donna. It is Donna Reed "What A Wonderful Actress" ~ The Donna Reed Fan Group. Please check it out. Thank you.

Donna was a class act and part of what I truly believe to be "the best generation."
Defeating the Nazi's was great. Totally awesome. What else made that generation "the best"?

I don't know about "the good old days," or if they were classier... but that was some very fine storytelling. Thank you.
