I look forward to each video you make and I really appreciate the effort you put into them. I love old Sportsters and I always learn something from your videos. Today I learned that I really don’t want a magneto Sportster! I’m 69 years old and my small collection begins with a ‘67 XLH. I live in New Hampshire so I won’t be stopping by for a visit anytime soon! But I will be buying from your eBay store. Thanks again!
Gary you did one heck of a job on this bike. It was an extremely interesting project to follow along. Now on the cafe style bike you are making, would you consider a gas tank like this? To me it looks way cool, and knowing you were going to make that rear fender/oil tank piece, I think it would make for a good looking body style. The most impressive part of this series to me, was you machining out the cases... that was a task that I am just not sure I could/would have tried. Even with the minor things, I do agree with you that this could be a very nice machine to have. Thanks for inviting us along on this project. Looking forward to the Mag videos.
I would like to get my hands on that magneto just to find out why it failed. Of all the problems you pointed out, the poor throttle arrangement hurt my head the most. The internal throttle and magneto retard on the left bar are 2 of the nicest features on a 60s XLCH. Your vids are great Mr. IronHeadCycle. Really looking forward to your upcoming magneto video. I love magnetos.
Clip on handlebars. It needs clip ons :-= . . . A few small details are not yet fully developed, but it is a very interesting combination of frame and engine.
Great work Gary
Many thanks
A Barking dog never helps . Magnito s, love em !.
The Morris on my former Pan always worked reliable.
Yes, in side by side tests, the mags with Morris magnets and coils worked best.
60 wt. coffee, you, magnetos and a Harton... Life is good.
Well done to you..

I just finished another bike with a Morris magneto magnet in it and it works great and starts easy.
I believe you for sure but my bikes have Tillotson carbs and I am old and lazy! I need that little push-button.
Thank you 👌👍👍👍👍
Welcome 😊
Good effort overall, Harley's are like a box of chocolates, never know what your going to get (find).
good job,
Thanks!

I haven't made up my mind on the other bike yet, if I ever get caught up, I'll go back to it... And you are welcome...
What a journey and fight it’s been 🎉💪🏻
It was...

Bad magnet is the short answer.
Yeah , Murphy's Law been there. Time to go fishing.
You got that right!

Yeah, it needs some refinement, but I like it...
@@IronHeadCycle I like it too.
It has everything I want on a decent motorcycle.
Spokewheels, Kicker, Magneto, Drumbrakes . . .
The owner tells me he had clip ons on it in a previous incarnation.
@@IronHeadCycle So not all hope is lost yet.
😎👍😎
So shit does happen to other people
What about the condenser
Ah yes, the condenser, at least three different condensers were tried.
