Found a faulty wire in our mics and are re-recording. It was my first kiln build, Phil's 10th or 11th, and it was very informative!

Thank you for the great information. I'm planning to build a wood kiln and thinking to make heat exchanger in the chimney to preheat the incoming air. I hope to find way to utilize tons of energy which are thrown out through a chimney. I think to make the chimney from metal pipe build into bricks shell where air will be blowed from top to bottom forced by fan. Then the preheated air goes under the kiln into the firebox. The air flow can be regulated by fan speed and damper.
great video, I am considering getting into ceramics as a part time job, but I am only in the information gathering stage. My plan, tentatively, is to build a wood fired kiln into the side of a hill in my yard in order to make bricks, and household ceramics. I don't want to spend ANY money at all. (I live in the country and clay and wood are readily available.) What are my best options? Thanks!

Start with a lot of research! And see if you can find someone who has started down this path.
