You are using logic to call out some actions one can do to personally increase the chances of their own survival. Or, in modern parlance, "victim blaming".
@@angelusumbrae Who needs logic when you have political correctness? Might as well make it illegal already. In all seriousness, victim blaming, like many other concepts, were twisted beyond recognition. @Angelus Umbrae She also entertained him by wearing a sexy dress and making sure he could see her through the window. I do believe "victim-blaming" is warranted here. And this is coming from a woman. You know it would have been an interesting plot twist if Francis had fabricated everything just to keep his wife paranoid and in his control, or maybe to get her to off herself so he could collect life insurance or something. His complete lack of concern would have been more reasonable then- bring her over, isolate her, terrify her, and then profit.
Old people in Romania 100% would jumpscare you. Doesn't matter if they are landlords or not, in fact this movie would not have happened in reality. A foreign visitor would have a non stop gaggle of babushka's monitoring her every move. They would actively camp in front of their doors just to hear when she leaves so they can also ambush her in the hallway for conversation and gossip. People that have lived in a communist regime have different interpretations of what boundaries are. If you complained about a stalker to an old lady you're golden, the entire neighborhood would be on high alert with 24/7 babushka window surveillance and repeated visits just to see how you are. Wouldn't even matter if they believed you or not, you've given them a reason to visit and by god are they going to abuse the shit out of it.

Yeah. Totally. Cuz that whole "believe all women" thing really panned out. 🙄
@@danelynch7171 Who said anything about it being “all women”? I said people.
@@TheOddityFair "believe all women" was a thing a few years ago about a*xual assault and plenty of women took advantage of that notion to ruin innocent men. My point was, blindly believing someone about something is foolish. Sure, investigate and don't dismiss them out of hand but nope. I don't believe nothing without evidence.
@@danelynch7171 So when someone talks about how people don’t believe people being stalked you decided to say this? Dawg, you are making yourself out to be someone who would be suspect number one for a stalking.
@@FTMothman you have the thought process of an 8 year old.
Lets goo. After 2 years since i started watching nerdexplains he finally reviews a movie that is in Romania and says a lot of good things.(Its my country)
yeah answer the question
Your commentary cracks me up every time. 😂Absolutely love your work. Looking forward to the next one.
Hey man I absolutely love your videos. Especially when you go on these stretches of a video every other day. It’s awesome. I really think you should make one about the 2 “The Collector” movies, they’re perfect for your content. Keep doing what you’re doing man

It was hard to take Julia's fear seriously in the movie when both pepper spray and rubber bullet guns are both legal in Romania yet she didn't buy any of each, much less carry a sharp knife. This woman thinks a serial killer is stalking her and she doesn't take a single self-defense measure?
You are using logic to call out some actions one can do to personally increase the chances of their own survival. Or, in modern parlance, "victim blaming".
@@angelusumbrae Who needs logic when you have political correctness? Might as well make it illegal already.
In all seriousness, victim blaming, like many other concepts, were twisted beyond recognition. It used to mean that the victim was considered the cause, now it is used when trying to advise the victim on how to avoid the situation.
I know what you said was satire, I just wanted to ramble.
@Adisca
Everything you said was correct. With the exception of claiming to wish to ramble, because I can't know if that's factually true or not. I think it is more that you wanted to say that because you felt that you'd be able to say it without being attacked for it. Perhaps to get it off your chest. Regardless, you are not wrong.
And satire is a necessity these days. You have to laugh about the nonsense. Cause if not, the only other choices are losing yourself in rage, depression, or nihilism over the painful absurdity of it all. It's really not funny. But you have to laugh.
@Angelus Umbrae She also entertained him by wearing a sexy dress and making sure he could see her through the window. I do believe "victim-blaming" is warranted here. And this is coming from a woman. There is a reasonable amount of caution that anyone should be practicing if they believe they are in danger.
Maybe because then her husband would have shit on her more for being “paranoid” also we have no idea if she knew they were legal, she doesn’t know much about the country
Love all these uploads lately!! Best channel on TH-cam!
You know it's good when Nerd gets so pissed off trying to explain stupid decisions.
you’ve been uploading like crazy and we love it, but please remember not to overwork yourself. your wellbeing is important ❤
I can hear your scorn for the characters in this movie and I love it lol.
Could you please do a “how to beat” video on a movie called “attraction” or it’s second part? It has cool alien water benders and giant space ships capable of deep faking , controlling mass media and framing people for domestic terrorism. And it has a cool revolution and a government corruption scheme.(It also has a cool underwater scene).I am asking for the thirty seventh time and will continue asking.
Don't you love it when you fear for your life, and instead of your husband comforting you, he cracks a joke about you to your face in a language you don't understand?
You know the husband was such a prick in the end I actually thought he was going to end up in on it kind of like scream. But no, he’s just a bellend.
Man, why is it so hard to ask for a movie where they do EVERYTHING right and still fail? Why does the husband have to be this stupid and uncaring? Why can't he be smart and caring and still fail her? Why can't people write really intelligent villains either? =_=
Im half way through this video, I bet the killer is Francis, also the person who’s “stalking her” is going to save her. He probably knows the husband is the killer and is watching to make sure she’s still alive lol
I thought so to.
That would be a great twist
One of the easiest premises from Nerd Explains movies so far.
Not surprised that somehow the protagonist managed to F this up even still.
that ending, god what a badass, and the sound was really satisfying, completely out of nowhere
As a Romanian, Hello
You talk with the landlord when the best time for someone to come and fix stuff. They can bring someone when you are away, but only if they you agree to it which does not seem to be the case here.
They likely asked the husband, and he likely didn't tell her.
I love how much you sympathize with Julia! Like yea her dude should have been in her corner instead it was like a battle between her the stalker and her bf or whatever. Hella annoying like my man better step up and be there instead of sweeping shit under the rug while being gone all day
Nerd pretty much demonstrated that he's likely A+ boyfriend material on this one lol I love how he was roasting Francis non stop!
Like that playing watching the wrong screen in Mario Kart.... Brilliant!!
My boy on a grind keep it up love ur videos, great laugh
Nerd is awesome he's the goat 🐐 greatest of all time 🤑💯 percent classic 🤑 with another great strategy to survive
As I’m going to bed..
Perfect ❤
Best of the most recent videos by far 👍
Nerd you are getting more genious with every upload bro
Nerd is the best how to beat torture TH-camr!! Funniest jokes and the most common sense
I love how you have to edit words despite context being non offensive. Stuff like grapist, beheaded, I can’t think of others off the top but TH-cam is weird. Miss the non algorithm days.
Man. Francis really failed to kill his wife like that. Or he’s just ridiculous stupid, but either works.
I absolutely love NE's take on this film. The satire is wonderful 😂👌
Nerd explains is just my favorite youtuber
This actress does a good job of getting stared at and followed. Same actress from It Follows
There’s always a third option, aim a gun or crossbow at the window guy, then see if he moves
“ Julia is a fish out of water, in all the wrong ways.”
Is there a good way for a fish to be out of water? 😂😂😂
If you are a lungfish, I guess.

The lights were probably off because the man didn't want to be shocked while working on the lights, and maintenence likes to leave the door open to let people know they are inside (something they do in the US as well)
You know it would have been an interesting plot twist if Francis had fabricated everything just to keep his wife paranoid and in his control, or maybe to get her to off herself so he could collect life insurance or something. His complete lack of concern would have been more reasonable then- bring her over, isolate her, terrify her, and then profit.
1:40 the driver told her that she is incredebly beautiful
You deserve to make a movie you would make the best horror movie ever made
Burn Gorman is just stellar in every role he plays
Oh yes, serial-killer or not, the FIRST thing she needs to do is divorce Francis IMMEDIATELY. She's a status symbol for him, he clearly doesn't give the faintest of f***s about her.
And yes, Bern Gorman is SUCH an underrated actor
I'm fairly certain the boyfriend/husband was helping the spider
The worst part to me is that the husband brought her to a foreign country and seems to be cheating on her while she’s getting stalked and I’m just like why didn’t you break up with her man
Two videos in a row featuring creepy dudes played by actors from The Expanse. Nice...😊
I was honestly expecting the husband to be a traitor, and helping the Spider. It turns out that he was just a garbage husband. It seems that the biggest mistake in the film was simply marrying that guy to begin with.
Bro you're on a fucking roll with these uploads thank you but chill build up that "extra vids" if you get sick or something

Did a channel that specializes in telling people how to survive horror movie scenarios, actually just suggest finding a “Dracula tour” to sign up for in order to combat boredom? That’s… literally the kind of decision that never, _ever_ ends well in this genre.
Landlords are not allowed to enter the tenant's home without permision
Different country though soo probably doesnt apply
@@amandam7777 i am romanian, it does apply
Totally thought Francis was the stalker. He’s gone for so long so often.
Hearing romanian in non romanian movies is insane to me ((im romanian))
What did you think of the Romanian in Bram Stoker's Dracula from 1992? :D
Francis is so horrible that I even thought of him as the mastermind.
Can you do How to Beat the Killer Croc in Rogue (2007)? I think that would be a fun video!
I wish movies would make the victim practical and smart causing the perp to have to be smarter and more cunning
Please do a video on the movie "Wrong Place" it's unironically one of the worst movies I've ever seen. And it has Bruce Willis.
A guy gets shot in the heart, put in a garbage bag, thrown in a pit of acid (I think?) And then literally just walks it off lol
Hey Google "cougar screams like a woman being murdered" they sound shockingly similar
@nerdexplains will you ever go back to uncensoring your vids ? Or do you have a membership or something where we can watch these videos uncensored ?
+Nerd Explains - "Get a dog. And a *gun* !"

How to beat Spiderman? Present him with an expensive bill.
Bill Murray "nobody is going to believe you" omfggggg 🤣🤣
Correction: it is still called Transylvania and it's still where it used to be - in the center of Romania :) Plenty of Dracula tours from Bucharest, in English, where they pick you up and bring you back home. She just needed to get on the internet and figure it out.
Your my tour guide next time I visit Bucharest. Oh and one question? How far is Transylvania from Ciaomadul?
@@Akechi_The_Phantom_Detective you're pretty much there if you're at Ciomadul thought folks might know it better by Ciumatul Mare. Transylvania is a region.
That must've been such a pain to watch that movie, how dumb could a main character be...
6:05 😂😂Yes, the owner can sometimes enter the house, even if he is the tenant or not, it is not legal, but many are afraid of being kicked out of the house because they accept this kind of behavior 😂It's sad but that's how you are and the law mostly favors the owner, so....😊
I always watch these videos thinks that they would actually happen me.😂😂
Bucharest that's where Steven Seagal likes to hang out and get called on when they need their best special operator in the senior citizens division
Idk about operater but def special
The husband is a monster as well.
She shouldn't have followed him out the country
