- This is Renault’s compact 7-seater Triber and its prices starts at ₹4.95 lakh (ex-showroom). We already knew everything about this car, however, we never got the chance to answer one question. And, that is, how does its engine perform with 7 passengers sitting in the Triber? Finally, we have the answer to this question as well.

Alto 800 - 40 BHP and can pull 5 people easily till 100kmph. Tata Nano - 35 BHP can pull 4 heavyweight champions till 90kmph, Bajaj Maxima Z auto - 8 BHP can pull 4 people till 50kmph easily, Mahindra Jeeto S6 - 16 BHP can pull 600kg (7 heavy adults + 1 driver) load till 60Kmph easily. So, it all depends how much you want to pull at what speed, am sure with 71 BHP Triber can pull 7 adults + 100kg payload till 100kmph, beyond which will cry. So, cruising at 80-90 should not be an issue and with today's traffic, better we go slow as even NCAP crash tests are done at 60KMPH. I would say Triber is practical for an practical Indian buyer.

I impress with this video..this car is suitable for middle class family who have a dream buy car in budget amount for family trip or other work..thank you for this video 😘🙏
Recently bought it. A budget car, but it has value for money. Made an 800km run with all seats occupied and the car did not disappoint at all. In fact, I felt the car is powerful enough for long drives and I hardly pressed acceleration and it easily reached 100 and above on highway. A must buy vehicle in point of view. Did not expected much from the 999cc engine but it is great.

@Satheesh Arenpalli yes, it's still worth it. Running smooth and working great. But they are bringing turbo engine this year, so if you want more power, you can wait for the turbo engine in triber..

Loved it & compact 7 seater triber wish to go for a test drive & may be put it in my list of 7 seater affordable cars since I still own a 15 year old Indica V2 diesel & got my FC done till 2024..😎🙂👍
I don't understand why Renault would give fixed head rest in the front seats when the back seats have adjustable headrests...

I've correction for 3rd row. Meri 6 feet height hai. Kal mene Test Drive li aur mere age 5'10" ki mera friend tha to bhi mujhe 3rd row Ertiga aur even XUV 500 se bhi spacious lagi! 🤨

Doesn't matter brother, 6ft. guy can easily sit on the mid row in this car. Main thing is safety and that is a big thing I guess.

My old santro went everywhere from shimla palampur Dharamshala massourie etc.
The TRIBER will definitely go there too but this time family members will hv more space n comfort of AC.
Akhil it's underpowered compared to santro. Would strictly not recommend triber for hill drives (particularly with frequent turns). It's not feasible to drag in 1st gear throughout.

@akhil, I have driven my santro during my 12 years ownership from guwahati to sela pass (13700), thimpu paro & even Kathmandu. triber's response probably starts after 3000 rpm ( test drive experience twice on small hills around guwahati.
Take a test ride on a hilly terrain and u will probably feel the nag even without co passengers 🙂. Don't hesitate to thank me when u realize it. Happy riding 🚗

Renault Triber is the best car, as per the price and features. Mahindra, Tata and Maruti should come up with this type of car at this low price.
Renault 7seat +8 mini luggage(80kg luggage 50 on roof,20 on boot,10 kg under codriver, +10L water bottles. Trip ho sakta h(hum aise hi trip karte h 5 log k saath(+2 aane wale h)).

Good review sir, 71bhp and 96NM ka torque is a good figure. People forgot the 32bhp and 57NM torque wali maruti van KO. In maruti van I used to travel to tirupati balaji with seven peoples, and I faced no problem. Ac was not available in that car but in triber Ac is available with double+ bhp.
Sirji simple si bat he 4 guna paiseme innova ati he toh kya 4 guna speed, Ac, mileage, ke saat athi he?
You forgot the weight of both cars.also maruti omni is discontinued

Me triber ko total 58740 kilometre chala chuka hu. Mere pass 2000cc Chevrolet Cruze and Mahindra Scorpio aur Renault triber rxt model mere pass he. Fir bhi Renault triber rxt model ko 7 adult passenger with luggage ke sath Ahmedabad to Leh Ladakh pahadi area pure 15 din ke liye ghuma. mujhe gadi mein koi Kami nahi lagi. Pure pahadi area me mene first gear ka istemal nahi kiya. Very nice powerful car.
The video is an extreme reality about Triber. It can climb steep off-road hairpins n hills with full load n have good mileage for right driving

It's definitely better than most of its competitors, saying this because I own one. But never forget to mention, Renault has the WORST service I have ever seen. Lethargic ppl working as Executives, their Mechanics are good at work but Renault surely lacks at training them properly.

Any reasons you are updating 7 seater I just had a conversation with dealer they informed registration is done as 5 seater and this a option to convert to 7 seater.
