🚗 Triber undercuts the Ertiga by up to Rs 3.5 lakh.
🚗 Ertiga & Triber both are seven-seater MPVs.
Maruti Ertiga is available in four variants - L, V, Z and Z+.CNG option is only available in the V variant while in Triber there is no CNG option as of now.
Renault Triber is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 72PS of power and 96Nm of torque. Triber is the most versatile MPV it has a modular seating arrangement. Triber comes with premium features like side airbags, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and AC vents for second and third-row seats. In terms of dimensions, Ertiga is wider than Triber, both in terms of overall length as well as the wheelbase. The BS6 Ertiga is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol & diesel engine
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Features:- Ertiga offers features like a 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and CarPlay, push-button start-stop, ventilated front cup holders, auto climate control with rear AC vents and a reverse parking camera.

We are just a family of 3, myself, spouse & a 13yr teen. Got Triber in Sep 2021. Definitely can't compete with Ertiga for space, but my logic was why not a modular spacious 7 seater MPV instead of a 5 seater premium hatchback with rear AC vents & at a slightly lower budget as well?! Baleno, Altroz, i20, Polo weren't offering rear AC at this cost. Did a 1200 kms trip with my Parents (5 members) within the first 2 months. Did a 1000kms trip early Dec & again a 2100kms trip around Christmas. It is only 4 months & have already done 6500kms. Able to comfortably cruise at 110-120kms on highway even with 7 people or 5 people+ packed boot. Mileage is 16 on highways, but they claim it will improve once engine gets better set. Space, modularity & ride quality are positives. The slight power lag while shifting gears is negative which everyone would have heard in almost all reviews, but the trade-off here is the better mileage achieved. It also achieved 4 star rating in the global NCAP crash test which was the clincher for me since I wasn't looking at anything below that after owning a '0' safety vehicle for past 12 years & 1.3lakh kms. It is actually rated the safest MPV in Indian market. Too early to comment about service as I have just done the 1st free service only @ 2000kms. It is our choice folks, whether we can trade a little engine pep for space, comfort & mileage. :)
@Aadesh Verma Thanks, but would never think of going anywhere less than a 4 star safety rated car. In fact, at times, the 4-star safety of my car seems a bit inadequate after seeing certain incidents happening on our roads.
So how's the mileage and service after 1 year?
@@arvindmeena6782 The 1st free servicing (guess 2000kms) hardly cost anything. 2nd free servicing at 10000kms was around ₹2000/- if I remember right as it is more than 1.5years now. The 3rd free servicing cost ₹7000/ this past Feb'23. Have covered around 27,000kms now & will be completing 2years since purchase this Sep'23. I haven't faced any issues with the car or service till now. Being a 1000cc engine for a 7-seater as expected don't see the kind of power as in the SUVs. Overtaking won't be peppy & needs planning, but this again translates to better safety. Positive side, it is a very good people mover with ample space & good safety that can hit a comfortable top speed of 110kmph on the NHs with a decent mileage of 15.5kmpl.

One of the best thing I like about Renault Triber is that it allows us to own a top variant of a really big and modular car that meets so many expectations....Kudos to the Renault team for all the engineering and technology that has gone into it....!!!!
I own both the car, I would say Triber is more comfortable & safe car due to better built quality, excellent shocker & extra side air bags. (Top model)

Been using for 2 years new ertiga it's the MPV to buy if u can't spend 20lakhs for Innova if u use more than 70% driving in city...So much comfortable tension free service,pick up,mileage and space and road presence to look for when buying MPV as it should be big,economical and smooth.Marazzo didn't click only because of after sales service and high price for the quality and engine size they use...
Using triber since 2020 perfect car for me as i have 1-2 people travelling
For long trips we use our innova or fortuner
But trust inspite of having others cars that are costlier than triber i prefer driving this as it gives me 18 avg on local with 2 people with ac

Tiriber is good car in budget. But CNG option is Ertiga is also added advantage. I bought ertiga in 2014 for 7.98 lac on road Navi Mumbai. Sold it in 2020 for 5 lac. (Now same car is selling at 6 lac due to chip shortage) Negligible depression happend in car and bought new gen Ertiga vxi cng for 9.80 lac. Overall excellent experience. Easy to maintain. Millege - 26 kmpl highway and 18 kmpl city in normal driving and in with AC. Excellent resell. U can easily drive it for 2 lac kms without any major maintenance.
a point everyone is missing over here is the roofrails where you can actually put your luggage upto 50kgs so no boot space but functional roof rails

Triber should consider to launch another variant by increasing it's BHP at least 10 higher..it will be very helpful for business person like me. For that, they may need to increase price range 1 lakh more. But it's Ok. Already, Riding Comfort is far better than that of Ertiga.

@@ramachandran2700 Yes.. city mileage 12.. highway 18.. handling ride comfort excellent.. AMT tuning is average.. power delivery pick up is poor.. but overall u can cruise up to 120 on highway.. with 5 on board..I took to a hill keeping 6 people on board.. it could handle well.. but if AMT is not what you prefer, I would recommend to go for its manual version.. its mileage is better, power delivery is also better..

If possible, please compare again for the 2021 models of both Triber and Ertiga since you could see lot of upgrades in both. Especially in Triber top-end model.
I'm bit confused on the stats that you've provided for 3rd dimensions. It seems triber is better (except shoulder room) in 3rd row as per the stats. But you said that ertiga has better 3rd row. Bit contradictory.

Problem with triber is that they can't add bigger engine even if they want. Front engine bonnet section is too small for bigger engine. This save space for spacious interior.
For a family car Ertiga is the best
Seating comfort 100%
Smoothness while driving 100%
Triber is the safest 7 seater in segment with 4 star GNCAP. While Ertiga only have 2 air bags with 1.1T weight
Now I am using 2011 Etios opt G (sp) petrol car for last 12 years run only 26500 kms . No problem since 2011 very powerful car now getting about 16/17 kms on highways .I am planning to buy Tiber but after watching this review I changed my mind regarding the power of Tiber to my Etios . The service cost of Etios is also very low . So I decided not to sell my Etios I think it can be used for 10 lacs kms without any Engine overall . Engine & gearbox of Etios are very smooth compared to other cars .

Body roll in ertiga is due to length of the car and small Tyre. 16inch alloys make a huge difference.
I m using triber from 3 weeks & have driven full load ie 7 seats for 3 to 4 times, really value for money for budgeted people.

Triber is very bad in safety. I saw a accident analysis of triber happened in Ahmedabad. A pillar totally vanished and the car totalled till trunk and side airbags didn't even deploy. Quality is worst.

Bro. Maruti suzuki Ertiga offers much more safety than triber like hill hold assist. Electric assist. And it is hybrid saving you fuel. It runs 40% on electricity and other on fuel. There is much more safety and space and the third row protects more than triber. Also Ertiga has two batteries giving you more time and come with all the configuration you can do on screen unlike triber. The car has double screen. One where you can watch movies, use radio, turn on bluetooth and another screen where you can check your car status and then son security features. Ertiga also come with trailer mode which is not available in triber. More over there are 20 security levels in all three stages of security in Ertiga. Unfortunately triber does not gives us any of these options. Moreover Ertiga conserves around 1 litres of fuel in around 50 km of drive and whenever turning, it changes to electric. So Ertiga is much more better than triber, more premium, more comfort, more features, more safety. But everything comes with a price!!

looking for automatic version of triber in mid 2020 then ill decide, i want automatic MPV so my father and wife can drive also, i have a family of 4 plus one kid, and we are not into too much of travelling for long journey if i ll get automatic at 8.45 on road ill go with triber

Why I bought Ertiga? Although its 3 lac more expensive, its more premium, refined and reliable car than Triber. I would have to buy new car after 6-7 year if I buy Triber now while my Ertiga will last 10-12 years with ease.
The touch screen integration in Ertiga looks a bit cheap.Very good video
