I'd say psychological can be better in singleplayer and in long playthroughs but jumpscares and things as such can be good for multiplayer in short-mid playthroughs
Generally true, but in a survival game the mods that are purely psychological or mostly psychological with little actual interaction, it quickly becomes very boring.
I love psychological horror, but it only is scary when you are lured by the lore it had than a simple jumpscare, sometimes you can easily forget psychological horror, but if you want a thrill, sometimes jumpscares are better even tho it is cheap, the noise what makes it more thrilling XD
I agree though there needs to be SOME level of danger or else it will very quickly fade the one who watches for instance may not always attack you but it can so there is always a level of danger in addition I feel like horror mods need to have piercing damage and a lot of HP or else you could just get so OP that they deal no damage to you
@@ejfiewfeuihefwiuwe The best way to do this is to have the monster attack the player and leave them NEAR death but not kill them. This is to establish that the monster is more than capable of destroying you but decides to toy with you first

I gotta say, i do not agree with 70% of your rankings, but your explanation of the mods was on point and you indeed showed most of the interesting horror mods, but for me, horror mods of minecraft are too up in your face all time, the entities should appear much less often, so it really catches you off guard, one problem i have with the siren head mod is that is just too frequent.. same with all the dwellers but more. from the fog and gigeresque are the best ones cuz they are not up in your face all the time, they have rare encounters, so it isn't just a jumpscare fest and there is alot of tension, thing that lacks on almost every horror mod!
Thank you!! Not that "big things that scream" aren't scary the first couple of times, but I just feel like Minecraft nostalgia and psychological horror are just so underdone and underappreciated
The problem with From The Fog though is while it is great at building tension it is quickly lost as the worst thing that can happen is Herobrine can crash your game if you bump into him that is it Herobrine will never directly attack you at any given point making him as harmless as a passive mob

I’d say Twisted Horrors is A-tier. The mod adds 17 mobs with creepy and unique mechanics. You’ve got things like the Suffered, which is this freaky amalgamation of tortured beings, and then there’s Hush, which listens for you in silence (seriously unnerving). Stuff like Jerry, who just watches you, and Goliath, who hides, make it feel like a horror movie. It’s solid in design, creative, and definitely scary-perfect for dark or spooky-themed modpacks. Not quite S-tier for me since some mobs feel more like variations of existing creatures (like the Crimson Cryptid).
Yea, Apollyon's biggest weakness to me as of right now is his insane spawn rate. It wasn't just that you were on a small map, he just spawns a LOT. The dev said they'd add a config file at some point, but I'm not sure in what update. Most of the mods on here that I've played also have some config files for you to mess with, like turning off siren head's block damage or lowering the Knocker's spawn rate. Very convenient, especially when you're trying to blend several of them together. Also, anyone else having issues where The Boiled One doesn't move smoothly? Idk idk if it's just the size of my modpack, but he moves almost like an inch-worm (that is to say, he moves in segments, or slightly "laggy").
Fun fact: the creator of beware the rain also works of pillar chase 2, a horror multiplayer game from roblox. Also, the creatures of the mod are also in or coming to the game.

- The One Who Watches
Man from the fog is slop wym? Rips walls apart, goes after you the second he spawns and instakills without warning
@@brothermomenet i died to him after 3 minutes of making the world in daylight
beware the rain 2:54 Ahh fuck in shit AHHHHHHHH im dieing
LMAO
its look like vapor
what shader is this guy using?
For most if not all of the clips I showed, Complementary Shaders
The anomaly got an horrifying update
How crazy could I be if I put several of these creatures in a minecraft server with my friends? would they conflict too much with each other?
Some of them are on different versions of Minecraft, either 1.19.2 or 1.20.1. And if you add too many, you could experience some lag
The anomoly is ngl the most scaries bro like legit u kidding me? Find the book and go where he says and ...
They are flying...
U cant look at him
They cant look at them
He is talking to me
He is calling for me
I shall not let him touch me
I shall stay alive
I shall be stupid to be hopeful
They are everywhere
Night is not secure
Night is not beautiful
Run
Dont let his face open.
Dont let him eat you
He wants me alive
He enjoys my taste
Hi 0wnage ❤ I didn't know what else to say. Good video, I agree with you on some lol
Thank you Fnaf&Taylor :)
@@Lord0wnage 😁
Where are you downloading all of these???
I've tried all of them through Curseforge. It's a handy client for making modpacks and sharing them with friends
curseforge
Ye all mods are curseforge prob
Yoo the Jon mode got remade? Pogdog!
You should try the Imitator.
Wsp Lord0wnage Im going to food testing cant watch your rn vid hope its good and congrats on 27k peace!
Hopefully that food was good! And thanks :D
We need bread dweller😈🍞
I haven't tried that dweller before ngl
@@Lord0wnagetry it
We were playing a horror modpack with my friend, we met man from the fog and he digged my friend's corpse to the void ( yes he even broke bedrock )
The boild one is the scariest mod i ever see
Your screams make me laugh to death every time
im...........MAD YOU DIDNT PUT THE END OF HEROBRINE IN S
IM SORRY
Any mod that adds random jumpscares for NO reason without a single buildup, are immediate dumpster grade and get instantly uninstalled.
The mimicer isnt too bad, I was just playing with it on and it did scare me but not as bad as some others.
can't breath has a speed of an average c130 aircraft
but anyways love your videos:)
LMAO
@@Lord0wnage oi breatheman got a nightmare mode you should check that out
(breatheman is my nickname for him XD)
mainly because calling this creature "CANTBREATHE" really doesn't sound right
What are versions of most of the mods?
I'd say it's like 60% 1.19.2 and 40% 1.20.1
Shader name?
complementary shaders
ngl, if the anomaly got into B, then the knocker should be there too, or anomaly goes into A since its basically the same
bro put apollion higher it has a good story
I think I played the version before the story update. I also haven't tried the mod for a video yet so that's probably why I didn't rank it as high
My son says you missed the Rake update… it’s better
We like your video!
I didn't know the Rake had an update, maybe I can check it out later!
And thank you, I'm glad you guys enjoyed my video :)
This man is under rated !!
THANK YOU :D
