The Candle Enthusiast Wow you got back to me fast I was still looking through the comments LOL. A piece of advice for you the next time you Scout movie locations like this you will often find that movie locations are scattered all over the place for a short piece of film. I learned this because my wife was in the industry in Toronto 20 years ago when they called it Hollywood North. But don't be discouraged it's really fulfilling to find the locations as I'm sure you found out. If you ever see that woman again with the dogs buy her a cup of coffee. LOL. Take care and I look forward to seeing more videos like this.
I love the variety of locations you show in Salem- always a dream of mine to visit- and major props to paying respects to the dark history behind the city as well. Hocus Pocus, local haunts - pure gold.
Blitzmoon H ... Thanks so incredibly much for the kindness. These sorts of comments truly keep a smile on my face and serve as the biggest means of motivation. Salem... what a fantastic place. I can't wait to go back. Thanks for commenting and for watching!! :)
Oh man... these are SO fun when we get to travel along on your adventures! Really nice work, as usual; & good handling of Salem's modern persona & darker past. Haven't been back there since I was 6 yrs old, but still remember so much of it. Stayed w/friends in Marblehead who lived in an old wooden house, 2 blks from the ocean. The whole area made a huge impression on a little girl w/an overactive imagination.😊I always picture those rocky cliffs on a grey, misty day as well - that's the Atlantic, for me. Really enjoyed your quest for the elusive long shot, & the pink coffee cup pointing out camera angles! Lol If you could reference this vid w/Hocus Pocus, I'm sure movie fans would love it. "You're welcome!" indeed! Craving Guatemalan (fave flav) now too, but better stick w/peppermint tea this late. Long-winded again, but figured I'd take advantage before you hit it big! ;-) Have a beautiful New England weekend, & take care!🍂🎃🍁
So glad I found your channel! I grew up next to Salem (but live in NH now), and I love seeing videos of the area. I don't get there often anymore but it's so fun to see people enjoying it! Love your videos! :)
nicklepickle718 ... So glad you enjoyed this one. I had so much fun filming it. My whole visit was improvised. Lots more like this video coming soon. Thanks for watching and commenting!!!
Thanks, Jenni! I truly appreciate the kind words. Salem is such a wonderful place to visit and it was a pleasure filming this video. Can't wait to go back! More than that, can't wait until the day I get to visit Germany!!!! Thanks for your support, for commenting and for watching!!! :)
ck 2 ... 😁 Your English is better than mine 😉. I'm so happy that you enjoy my videos. There is much more coming very soon. Thanks for your support, positivity and kind words 👍🏻❤️🕯🎃
Oh how I love this video!!!! I've watched it 3 times and I still lmao when you get locked in the cemetery! Didn't you have to jump the wall and hurt your knee in the process?! Great job again!!! 😁🖤
i would like to visit these places next autumn after i watch this, all looks so nice and spooky like in hocus pocus.i like the way you celebrate halloween in the usa.here in germany it's no big deal.how cool it must be when that's your house?!
You definitely should visit and certainly during Halloween! Everything is so beautiful this time of the year. I visit a lot of houses that were featured in movies and television, and I too wonder how great (or I guess, burdensome) it would be to live there. I can imagine all of the tourists and spectators would become very frustrating :) But I think it would be so great to live in, let's say, the E.T. house.
It always amazes me how high quailty your videos are in format, content, and creativity :) its a rare thing on youtube to get the quailty of a channel with 1,000,000+ subscribers but with the small channel feel of the owner of the channel taking time to reply to just bout every comment and making every video so personable ^_^ i do hope u reach 1 million soon tho lol :D side note, i used to live in Salem NH and friends/family used to always be dissapoimted when they visited me because they thought i lived in Salem MA :p Also, i would really like it if you could collab with Yankee or a candle company you really like to create a candle that smells like halloween or Salem during halloween. Too late for this year but maybe next year.... You'll have more subs then too :) i know its easier said than done but it would be awesome if you could!
Haha, Salem NH... Yep, I'm sure that must have been a nightmare for you. I can only imagine how many people set their GPS to 'Salem" with the intention of visiting the witch city, only to find themselves in NH. With that said, I adore NH. Thanks for commenting on your thoughts regarding my content and approach. It's always fun, rewarding, and exciting, but every project is a bit daunting to tackle. So thank you for noticing my efforts. I have big plans for YC in the future, and I've certainly been knockin' on their door. However, I have to take careful steps in order to get the content that I want. I promise to deliver a more in-depth look into YC, but we're both going to have to wait a bit longer ;) Big ideas, big goals, lots to tackle as we move forward. As the content grows in size, hopefully my audience will too :) Thanks! :)

BellBook &Candle ... So glad you enjoyed it. I'm always a bit nervous when I venture into topics that depart from fragrance, but I definitely want to incorporate more of this "tourism" element to my content and thus round out the material with some of my other passions and interests. Plus, I think it's a great way to get people who are not necessarily into candles to visit my channel. And, in time, hopefully encourage them to go out and pick up a candle. I can't even begin to tell you how many of my friends who initially thought I was crazy for being SO into candles, have now become moderate to massive scented candle fanatics. I was even able to persuade my father who is essentially John Wayne meets Ralph Kramden. Never in a million years did I imagine seeing him teach his friends how to properly trim a wick or sharing his personal aroma associations linked with his favorite candles. I'm proud of that achievement. If I could just figure out a way to attract more unsuspecting viewers to my videos. I would even embrace candle skeptics as long as they enjoyed the show. Maybe I need a co-host "The Candle Pessimist" 😉. Marblehead was astonishingly beautiful. I practically lived in Salem for a few years and miraculously never made it down there. I had one of those moments where you stop dead in your tracks, and you think, "oh wow, this place is like being in a dream." I only wish I had taken more footage of the landscape as I scrambled around the town looking for that "shot". I can definitely see why your mind frequently sweeps you away to that magical setting. And why your imagination would have a field day. I would love to see that town after a night of freshly fallen snow. I've gotta go back! Once again, thanks for joining me on my little journey to Witch City. More fun travels to come. Jeez, I'm talking your ear off here...
The Candle Enthusiast 😉My ear is still attached! Honestly, I'm really enjoying your journey here! Reminds me so much of myself when I was younger & still pursuing the acting/writing/production career. When I first found YT candle reviews, I'd actually daydreamed abt what it would be like to do them w/an unlimited budget. Afraid I'd get carried away for sure tho; start reviewing a cinnamon candle - & end up exploring the history of the Spice Trade!😏YT is fairly regimented (in format & focus) in terms of what people in "the wax community" are used to seeing. Your approach is so much broader (as you can tell from folks' comments); & as you get more viewers, I think you WILL be pulling from a larger range of people than just us die-hard candle addicts. Also, your enthusiasm ;-) is completely infectious! Loved the bit abt your dad too. Wish we could meet in Salem to talk candles & ideas over coffee... Hope that doesn't sound creepy!😁 Am madly in love w/my hubs: & altho I can't really tell how old you are, I bet I'm not that much younger than your parents.YIKES!😕Now I'm talking YOUR ear off! I still can't figure out how to send a private YT message from my cell, so I promise to be less chatty in the future! Take care, my friend... The veil between the worlds is getting thin for a couple nights - so stay out of the graveyard!🌜🎃✨

BellBook &Candle ... Again, and as always, thanks for sharing so much positivity. I'm going to keep pushing this stone, see where it takes me. I'm having so much fun. Broad is right. I'm always worried of the content being too broad and the focus being lost, but most of me wants to embrace it. I suppose we'll see what happens. I'm going to be constantly on the road, but in the North East for another month or so. Maybe are paths will cross. Spending this Halloween weekend with friends and family. Trying to enjoy every moment. Hope you're doing the same. 😁
Just watched this awesome video. Weeks too late after Halloween, but we have been to Florida over Halloween and just got back to Munich 2 weeks ago. So now I'm bingewatching all missed videos of yours 😂 Love them all. Keep on going with your videostyle, it's awsome 👍 Are you on Instagram as well?
Country at Heart .... Haha, so glad you finally got around to this video. I had an absolute blast making it. One of my favorite places in the world. Have fun with all of the other videos that I have posted since. Thanks so much for commenting and for watching!! 😁😁
i have a kitty named salem and i've always wanted to visit, but unfortunately it's a 14 hour drive from my little tennessee town :( this video made me wanna go even more! i hate snow though so i may make a summer trip haha :)
Oooh! This is my favorite video you've done!! 👏🏻. Speaking of coffee, I don't know if you do mochas but Starbucks new Chili Mocha is so good! Really warming. 🌶☕️
Thanks so much for saying so. I really love doing these "tourism-ish" type episodes. And this particular one was so much fun. And no, I haven't tried the SB Chili Mocha. This is the first I'm hearing of it. Sounds amazing! I'm gonna grab one ASAP :) Thanks for watching and commenting, Deb!
Melanie Avant ... Truly, thanks so much! I can't even begin to explain how much fun this video was to make. And what's better, it was all improvised... absolutely nothing had been scheduled or planned before I entered Salem. I will certainly reprise this trip/video this Halloween or maybe sooner ;) Thanks for commenting and for watching, Melanie!! :)
That’s awesome. I’ve visited nearly all of the locations in the film. Most of them are going to be in the back lot of Warner Bros Studios, but I actually filmed a scene in one of my brother’s films in the same bowling alley that is featured in Elvira MOTD. When I’m out on the west coast, I’ll put it on my things to do :) Thanks!!
Excellent video! Please make more like this.
Thank you! Trust me, more like this coming right around the corner :)

I was in Salem at the time this was shot I think? October 20-23 2017. Wow. Love your tour and your analysis of all the candles :)
Really enjoyed this video. Loved the tour of Salem. It makes me wanna visit.
I love this video!!!! I've watched it more than once 😊 I love everything about your videos, reminds me of why I love the USA!
Hi friend. You should check out Gypsy Moon's soy candles on Etsy. They are fabulous!!
I was just there in October and now I only wish I could have found all of those Hocus Pocus finds. Thoroughly impressed.
You are so Good in selling candles 👍
This is the greatest video! Haven't been to Salem in about 12 years and this made me want to go back. Just all around excellent vlog

This was the first video I watched of yours, watching it again since I visited Salem last month :)

Always find myself revisiting this video; I'm moving to Salem this upcoming September, and I couldn't be more excited!
Just seeing this now, loved it! Actually got nervous for you locked in that cemetary. Lol

oh yes or the one from "home alone"
would love to see the film location of elvira mistres of the dark movie

I think I would do better watching this with someone as It's going in the scary direction. More later!!!
