- Digging Vermont snow and ice out of the back of a pick up truck is NO FUN! This was the best tonneau cover quality versus price I could find and it was readily available on amazon. So I ordered it and it arrived just in time as the snow flakes began to come down. This is the unboxing. Installation. And finished result. And I am so happy with it!
I bought it here amzn.to/3WbxD2Z

Just bought a 22 Ram yesterday and have already watched several of your videos which I found really helpful to see what I'm up against for some of these upgrades! Do you plan on installing running boards? And if so will you make a video for it?
Hey thats awesome! I have looked at side steps/nerf bars but havent bit the bullet yet. My wife is 5' tall so it would really help. Perhaps next spring? If I do get some, as usual, I will make a video :)
Excellent video! I just purchased and installed on my truck. I noticed you have a gap where the seal isn't complete at the very front of your pickup bed. I could see light coming through. Does that cause any leaks? I have that same type of gap and was wondering if I should purchase another seal and double layer it to now allow any light to show through.
I thought I didnt need the foam because of the bed liner but I added it later. No gap anymore :)
Your energy is amazing lol. Nice install video 👍🏻 hows it holding up after a year?
After 2 Vermont winters, some extremely heavy snow, it's doing great :) I mostly like how it rolls up out of the way when I need to use the entire truck bed. Here's a pic I just snapped: share.icloud.com/photos/0c31Fv-0LsDkbiVVOsgTc__WQ
@@sstressfl awesome, great to hear. I just ordered one this morning. Thank you!!
@@DieselArcher hey that’s great! Enjoy 🙏
very informative thanks i just myself the same bed cover and wasnt sure about the weather striping on the bulk head because i also have a drop in liner as well and now i know dont need it! thank you!
Check it after a few weeks! If you see a gap develop, you'll need the seal :)
@@sstressfl did you have to add the weather striping?
@@Foltz431 after a full winter the bed cover settled enough that I discovered a small gap so I installed the strip.
I did a bed cover install video too... mine is the coolest cover, rolled up too! Davey & Goliath... LOL !!!
Very cool. Trucks are fantastic. I’m glad you got the reference! Wasn’t sure how many would lol
I’m not gonna lie I’m glad you got rid of the ATS. I have a 2015 I bought last November 20th, absolutely horrible experience with the car and the dealer too. I need this thing gone asap and it’s financed for a few more years… complete garbage unfortunately. Nice truck buddy!
I'm sorry to hear it :( Best and worst car experience of my life. However, so far, this new RAM has surpassed the caddy as the most amazing driving experience. I truly enjoy it. Your day will come to dump the Caddy. And when it does I pray you find the same sweet freedom that I've enjoyed :)
Does the cover keep the water out. Btw kindred spirits i found your channel when researcing towing with my caravan. I now also have a caravan and just picked up a Ram. 😂
A little water gets in. The tailgate is not sealed on the sides/top and has nothing to do with the cover. But water intrusion is still very minimal. Very happy with it! And man that’s hilarious :) the minivan is a great family hailer but lacks the towing ability. Truck good!! Lol
@@sstressfl yes truck good agreed
any trouble with rain or snow causing it to sink in the middle?
We had a very heavy wet snow storm and it did sag and puddle a bit. I cleaned it off three times while it was snowing. Then rain leaves a tiny puddle in the middle which I fixed by pulling the cover a little tighter on the sides. It’s going to sag! But I’ll do my best Tom protect it and keep it healthy as long as I can.
@@sstressfl good to know! Thank you for replying.
When force fails, use MORE force. I have a new to me ‘21 F150 that has one of these. It was rolled up when I bought the truck. First time I tried to unroll and latch it… the horrible noises it made when trying to seat the end and latch it, I thought surely it needs a tension adjustment. Nope just push harder… 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
LOL yes indeed! And yet it goes against what I have experienced as a mechanic. Felt like I would break something! But noooope! Stand on that thing!! lol
