Use a sponge to apply glitter polish for a more dense application. The sponge soaks up the clear polish and leaves the glitter on the sponge ready to apply. This will help cut down on the many layers you have to apply to get good coverage and on excess polish. Great tutorial btw!
Megan Richter yes they do stick to the sponge, but once you start dabbing on fingernail they will transfer to the nail. Just like with a normal gradient using polishes, don't dab too much or you'll pick up the color or leave pieces of sponge behind. Do one layer at a time- put glitter polish on sponge, dab onto fingernail, and then more glitter polish, repeat. Do until you are happy with coverage.

Hi, I'm just finding your channel now. I just wanted to tell you that I love the way you demonstrate everything! You're so talented and so creative! Thank you for sharing your ideas with us! 💜💅
Even though I have seen many water marble video's , you really thought "out of the box" when it came to choice of colors..... very classy and beautiful..... WELL DONE!
Love all the tips and tricks you mentioned in this video. I really liked the one about using nail forms as a barrier, this sounds like it would be great for people that are allergic to latex products. Your manicure looks amazing. Thanks so much for sharing.
Really nice Melliny. This is the third time I'm launching nails in my salon and your channel is so helpful and easy and beautifully explained. I hope this time my nail business takes off. Thank you!!!!
wow..makes sense to use a small container for water marble so not to waste so much polish. I love this design, its so diff. from all the others i have seen over and over again.
One of the most interesting and beautiful water marble designs I've seen🎉❤I'm so glad I found your channel!!!! For me...I find that Revlon nail polish brand works great for WM😊
I love this design - clear and white over holo sparkles. You are a good teacher, too. I am just learning nail art and this one is smashing! (PS - I prefer tape to latex peel barriers - for me, it's faster and less messy)
use bottled water that is warm run under faucet if your house is cold pour in to a glass container that you can fit your fingers into up to the second knuckle. Let water sit for a few minutes shake and open all the polish you will be using fresh polish works best and I have found that wet and wild polish works great and cheap polish under $2 works good like the stuff you can get at Dollar Tree and Hair places. Don't waist your expensive polish on this. container needs to be at least 3 inches across so the polish can spread out.
Gorgeous!! Will definitely try this! I've heard applying vaseline to area surrounding the nails work too. You just apply it all over and wash it off when you're done. Haven't tried it myself, but I hear great things about it.
these are so beautiful & even though i dislike doing water marble bc of the clean up i really want to try doing this design, thank you for showing us your nail art ideas (:
Dear Miliney, just found you tonight, i think this is the most gorgous water nail art i have EVER seen! I have sort nails and i Just bought this polish!! I am going to hold a valentines party and wear this to it. I will be giving each gal a small nail art kit, and i just learned how to do it! I bought the sallys white for everyone, and Now i have an easy idea i will have them do on a finger, we will stamp lace too! I am ne to stamping! I have a question, i have super sensitive skin, would vaseline ruin the white and clear silicon stampers? Bless you, grace in Vt...
To combat the patches with no chunky glitters, I'd suggest sponging! Just put the polish on a makeup sponge so that the sponge absorbs some of the base polish, and then you'll be left with mostly glitter which you can then sponge on, giving the desired effect :-)
instead of tapping nailpolish to get more glitter, next time put in on a sponge (like when you want to do gradients) it turns out amazingly and no excess nailpolish on nail, just the glitter (and fast dry) ❤️

Glass candle holder what a great idea, does not need as much polish as a larger glass would, and seems like it would make the process go faster.

Cool design....

Good manicure for Christmas time.
You can use a makeup sponge to apply glitter.

So cool mel
yeah
Beautiful video! I am going to try this! My cockatiel has white feathers. :)
W
check out simplynailogical. she puts glitter nailpolish on a sponge that absorbs the excess polish and then dabs the glitter onto her nails..
Yes i alsow thought of that
She also doesn't dab on her nails with her fingers, removing half the nail polish she just applied.
luv her.
I AM A HOLOSEXUXAL
YES!!!! So much easier!!
I know an animal with white feathers! A flamingo when they're FIRST born!
Fun Fact: Flamingos turn pink as they eat certain foods such as shrimp.
thanks for your talent!!!!!
So many problems that simplynailogical has solved...
Except water marble.
so true
instead of tapping nailpolish to get more glitter, next time put in on a sponge (like when you want to do gradients) it turns out amazingly and no excess nailpolish on nail, just the glitter (and fast dry) ❤️
The Pure Ice brand of nail polish works great for watermarbling for me

I really love this.. Can you do a video on easy ways to create flowers? (Different kinds of flowers)

A good polish that spreads well in water is the Wet n Wiled -Wildshine.
