Alternate ending: ML had somehow coveyed the entire truth to FL before the wedding & conspired the fake shooting to make the Villain confess the truth. FL had a fake gun and they were never injured. Leads then distanced themselves for 2 years to heal from everything, met, fell in love again & lived happily ever after!
Yup, that's how I rewrote the story in my mind! Loved it otherwise! So many opportunities to clear things up but I guess there would be no series then.

I did not watch this movie from beginning when I stumbled across it. I searched and happy to find the entire movie, started watching from Ep 1 through Ep 24 including the ones I stumbled on. I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful love story, faith brought them together in the end. Main actor and actress are a great pair, very talented. She never would have survived the head shot. Too bad they ended it this way. If they had died I would have been fine with that. Even if they were reincarnated like in other shows, but not surviving those horrific injuries. That being said, I stayed up every night to watch it. The ml was wonderful in his role. That guy deserved getting shot by her... Doesn't count he "changed his mind and didn't get the chance to detonate" cause his reaction after someone did it was "well okay it's fate" then went on to push the girl in the water... You know war time PTSD but his except for being a nightmare enemy came out as the loving lover he wished he had. There are few dramas that got to rile me up like this hence the long vent .. but to speak in chinese drama land language I really wish their fate ended with this one miserable life and won't for love of God would be repeated in other reincarnations. No man that would lead to too much of a heartbreak for them and heartburn for us poor audience.

Somehow i was enduring the idea of frequency in losing memory but the ending?????? Iam speechless😅 how could they ended up in such a way! The story writter might have just lost his memory while reaching upon the last episode.
The start of this episode was SO satisfying! Watching her shoot him and enumerate all of the ways he hurt her - including the times he took advantage of her memory loss - was so satisfying after 24 episodes of relentless torture! He is a truly horrible human being and hurt her over and over-on purpose. I do not believe his claim that he loves her. Just no. No one capable of love could do the things he did. Loving someone means considering their wants and needs and he Only ever considers his own. He wants her so he imprisons her, takes advantage of her traumatic memory loss and gaslights her into falling in love with him (or with the person he is pretending to be). Honestly it turned my stomach watching him take advantage of her memory loss-caused because she was desperate to escape this evil man-to tell her that she loves him and they have a beautiful loving relationship. Made me sick to my stomach to imagine her being manipulated into falling in love with the man who torture her and lead to the death of her child! 🤮 He is a despicable human being throughout this. And no amount of “but I love you” can erase the trauma of what he has done. The fact that she sh0t herself in the head at the end because of the mind games he played with her, making her fall in love with him all while knowing that she rightfully hated him, is a testament to how much harm he did her and I loved that he had to watch it happen.

Before Hongye died, instead of telling her, he didn't kill her family, he went on memory lane to remind her of the moments they met and what they did together. Him in the army suit and Gu Meng as a nurse is their past life, it seems like they met before but were parted and met again, before they were married. 2 or more years after that encounter, they got married, she lost her memory again. During this time, SML had brainwashed and trained her to kill Hongye. In episode, they meet again with her being trained to kill Hongye. Hongye stripped her of all the weapons she brought to kill. After all this, he realized who she was.

That would require him to think of her, and not just himself. That would have required him to respect her as a person, not just as an object of his obsession. It never occurred to him to tell her because he lacks empathy. He doesn’t consider things from her point of view. He just wants to fantasize about the “good times” and ignore the trauma he caused her over and over again.
Plot twist - the gun she used to shoot him and herself was actually a fake gun , a toy.. ML and FL acted together for revealing the face of 2nd Lead... Let's keep it that way at least this makes more sense than the writer ik😂

The story is very nice but the ending really sucks, I was so shocked I didn't even have time to cry over it😅 Thankful they weren't long 40 minute episodes as I would have been very disappointed and angry at myself for spending so long to watch them. Have seen something similar in the same vein not long ago it was pretty good even though it didn't end as you wanted it's called "BRIDE'S REVENGE" 2023 and one called "Fall In Love" 2021 it was very good and I highly recommend it conscience🙂
This was the most toxic show I ever watched lol I was so upset that everytime she fell, she bumped her head. They could never live “ happily ever after” even if the truth of her family’s death came out. knowing that truth would not change all of the abuse and torture he inflicted on her, the gaslighting and manipulating her when she had her memory loss into loving him, knowing that she rightfully hated him. It also would not bring back her dead child. there is no happy ending where she ends up with the monster that is this male lead. Him admitting he was wrong and saying he was sorry does not magically erase the trauma that she rightfully feels.

One takeaway from this drama is Li Jiu Lin is hot and both of them can actually act, despite the bizzare story. The cinematography is pretty good though, so sad that the whole story is a trainwreck hahaha. I bet the writer takes a shot before they write a line.

What is the uproar about, impossible ! Only thing true is that most people love tragedy and as witnessed from comments below prefer the teased possible horrendous tragic end if all three actually perished in the church. People have been known to survive multiple shots wounds to the abdominal area even chest, so shot obviously missed the heart etc. People have survived being shot to the head including some living on with a bullet left by doctors lodged in the head instead of surgically removing it. So somewhat epic in the multiple levels of deceit, secrets, betrayal apparently in the name of love and gripping but bursting at the seams series. There is plenty of evil scheming to have made more than one drama series. My verdict what some are calling a 'silly ending' as depicted in the last scene, is probably the only redeeming aspect of this drama. Otherwise, what an extraordinary affair of self-serving wickedness however delusional or aided by amnesia on Gu Meng's part. The death of Xiao Hongye would have been wanton evil unchecked, pure evil rewarded. Only one person deserves to stay dead, Zhou Zinchen as he would be, after all Hongye is a perfect sharp shooter.

People might think that I’m crazy but I did like the end! One of them had to die either her or him. They hurt each other a lot both of them killed their baby it was her fault too for not telling him that it was his baby. And the step brother was the one who killed her family. Let’s be honest you can’t forget or forgive what they did to each other in real life. And what I understood is that he didn’t die and later he met a nurse who looks like the female lead that’s what I got. I hues we can take the end that we like the best I guess because it’s not that clear the end. I did like the drama but for sure I would definitely not watch it again.

She was a pawn to be owned by him, raped, imprisoned, beaten, and when she survived an attempt to get away from him by dying; he took that opportunity of her memory loss to gaslight her and tell her that they have a loving relationship. If he did indeed survive at the end and later find a nurse who looks just like the female lead-I fear for that poor woman’s life. He will probably obsess over her and use the exact same gaslighting and manipulation tactics to try to force her to love him, just like he did throughout the series. Somehow i was enduring the idea of frequency in losing memory but the ending?????? Iam speechless😅 how could they ended up in such a way! The story writter might have just lost his memory while reaching upon the last episode.

The start of this episode was SO satisfying! Watching her shoot him and enumerate all of the ways he hurt her - including the times he took advantage of her memory loss - was so satisfying after 24 episodes of relentless torture! He is a truly horrible human being and hurt her over and over-on purpose.
I do not believe his claim that he loves her. Just no.
No one capable of love could do the things he did. Loving someone means considering their wants and needs and he Only ever considers his own. He wants her so he imprisons her, takes advantage of her traumatic memory loss and gaslights her into falling in love with him (or with the person he is pretending to be).
Honestly it turned my stomach watching him take advantage of her memory loss-caused because she was desperate to escape this evil man-to tell her that she loves him and they have a beautiful loving relationship. Made me sick to my stomach to imagine her being manipulated into falling in love with the man who torture her and lead to the death of her child! 🤮
He is a despicable human being throughout this. And no amount of “but I love you” can erase the trauma of what he has done.
The fact that she sh0t herself in the head at the end because of the mind games he played with her, making her fall in love with him all while knowing that she rightfully hated him, is a testament to how much harm he did her and I loved that he had to watch it happen.

It never occurred to him to tell her because he lacks empathy. He doesn’t consider things from her point of view. He just wants to fantasize about the “good times” and ignore the trauma he caused her over and over again.

The story is very nice but the ending really sucks, I was so shocked I didn't even have time to cry over it😅 Thankful they weren't long 40 minute episodes as I would have been very disappointed and angry at myself for spending so long to watch them. Have seen something similar in the same vein not long ago it was pretty good even though it didn't end as you wanted it's called "BRIDE'S REVENGE" 2023 and one called "Fall In Love" 2021 it was very good and I highly recommend it conscience🙂

Ending 😂😂 it would have been better if all of that happened in church would have been just a drama to elicit the truth from the villain then they would have lived happy ever after . But nah they needed to make it weird 😂😂
They could never live “ happily ever after” even if the truth of her family’s death came out. knowing that truth would not change all of the abuse and torture he inflicted on her, the gaslighting and manipulating her when she had her memory loss into loving him, knowing that she rightfully hated him. It also would not bring back her dead child.

One takeaway from this drama is Li Jiu Lin is hot and both of them can actually act, despite the bizzare story. The cinematography is pretty good though, so sad that the whole story is a trainwreck hahaha. I bet the writer takes a shot before they write a line.

What is the uproar about, impossible ! Only thing true is that most people love tragedy and as witnessed from comments below prefer the teased possible horrendous tragic end if all three actually perished in the church. People have been known to survive multiple shots wounds to the abdominal area even chest, so shot obviously missed the heart etc. People have survived being shot to the head including some living on with a bullet left by doctors lodged in the head instead of surgically removing it.
So somewhat epic in the multiple levels of deceit, secrets, betrayal apparently in the name of love and gripping but bursting at the seams series. There is plenty of evil scheming to have made more than one drama series.
My verdict what some are calling a 'silly ending' as depicted in the last scene, is probably the only redeeming aspect of this drama. Otherwise, what an extraordinary affair of self-serving wickedness however delusional or aided by amnesia on Gu Meng's part.
The death of Xiao Hongye would have been wanton evil unchecked, pure evil rewarded. Only one person deserves to stay dead, Zhou Zinchen as he would be, after all Hongye is a perfect sharp shooter.

People might think that I’m crazy but I did like the end! One of them had to die either her or him. They hurt each other a lot both of them killed their baby it was her fault too for not telling him that it was his baby. And the step brother was the one who killed her family. Let’s be honest you can’t forget or forgive what they did to each other in real life. And what I understood is that he didn’t die and later he met a nurse who looks like the female lead that’s what I got. I hues we can take the end that we like the best I guess because it’s not that clear the end. I did like the drama but for sure I would definitely not watch it again.

He had ALL the power in this drama. She had none. She was a pawn to be owned by him, raped, imprisoned, beaten, and when she survived an attempt to get away from him by dying; he took that opportunity of her memory loss to gaslight her and tell her that they have a loving relationship.
If he did indeed survive at the end and later find a nurse who looks just like the female lead-I fear for that poor woman’s life. He will probably obsess over her and use the exact same gaslighting and manipulation tactics to try to force her to love him, just like he did throughout the series. (If he doesn’t just kidnap and imprison her to be his sex slave.)
