No matter her faults, NOTHING justifies what the ML did. He committed a crime and trying to diminish the murder he committed by blaming her is unfair and twisted.
She thinks he killed her parents and hates herself for loving their murderer. She is carrying his child but wants nothing to do with him. Of course she has to lie to him in order to get out and raise her baby far from him. If she tells him the truth, she can never leave him or, even if he agrees to let her go, he will take the child from her at birth.
And for those who say "as soon as she saw the medicine, she should have told the truth": could you have done better in the situation? She didn't even have 2 minutes. She tried to run away, beg, and then he made her drink before she could say anything else. It's easy to criticize from your seat behind the screen but in traumatic situations, you don't necessarily have time to think and time was lacking.
No one deserves to have a forced abortion by someone who wants to keep us as their thing.
