I’ve had both of my knees and my hips replaced over about 16 years. Life is so much better after replacement. You will regret only not doing it sooner. Cartilage won’t grow back so get them replaced. Healing is easier now than when you get older. Don’t be afraid. Replacements are gifts.
I’ve had a knee replacement and it has been the best decision I’ve made. I was in denial, …it only hurts when or I just need to exercise more. I was very afraid of the pain and the recovery. I won’t lie, it’s difficult and painful. However, the pain goes away. I’m walking with no pain and dancing with no difficulties. Whatever you decide to do, I hope you get relief. You have certainly been busy since coming home. I bet it felt good to be in your own bed. I’m relatively new to your channel so I’m still trying to catch up. Welcome home! Donna
I had both knees replaced three years ago in two surgeries six months apart. Three months recovery after each. Celebrex was great as pain relief before the replacements. I am now pain free and loving it. Do not hesitate to have the surgery.
I love hearing your story. I am really scared of having surgery. And I don’t feel I’m quite ready for it yet, but it scares me as I feel it is in my future.
I never really thought about facing several of these things you’ll encountered once returning home, so thanks for sharing. I know several people that has had knee problems, bone on bone, and the injection is the first attempt to getting knee back on track, after pain meds. But most end of having successful knee replacement without regrets. Both knees usually, so I pray you have a successful surgery and recovery, with no regrets 😇
Oh my goodness! There was a lot to take care of when you returned! I enjoyed your travel videos! Nancy, I was supposed to have knee replacement this fall due to my kneecap being bone on bone. However, since late last winter, I have been exercising faithfully using the exercises my Physical Therapist taught me in 2023. Also, one exercise I saw on the Internet helps with climbing stairs- you can do this exercise with just one stair- step sideways up and down. I do this 10 times on each leg. I also ice my knee three times per day. I have been able to push off my surgery for awhile. I wish you well!
I have really enjoyed your World Tour adventures. I'm glad you are home safely and your grandbabies are beautiful. I am looking forward to continuing to follow you on your new adventures. 🎉😊
Master Gardener here. Preen for those weeds as long as it isn't near a vegetable garden. You belong to Costco and they sell it in the spring. I buy enough boxes for 2x a year. I have 1/3 with lots of perennial beds. Once in March or after the snow and once in the summer. Especially if you are going to be gone for awhile. Really helps cut down on weeds.
I just recovered from my knee replacement Aug 5 Took a good 2 months to recover You will know when it’s time when your knee hurts at night and wakes you up Happy it’s over with Now if only my back felt better lol I was admiring you doing all those stairs on your world cruise!
Wow! You’ve had a lot to deal with since you got home. I’m glad you god to love on the grand babies. Bad knees run in our family. I understand a replacement lasts about 20 years before another needs to be done, so you might want to keep that in mind.
I had knee replacement last year and it is the best thing I ever did. I had no problems and no real pain. I can never run again but am the fast walker now. Don’t be afraid to do it.
Nancy I had an ankle replacement 2 years bc I had a traumatic injury in my twenties and had severe osteoarthritis, which had grown progressively worse over the years. That replacement was the best decision I made!! Of course, you have to do what works for you, but osteoarthritis is no joke, for sure! Before surgery, I was able to manage with ibuprofen. Post surgery, I can run again and walk distances that I had not been able to do. I hope you find a resolution soon!!! Best wishes!!
Get the knees replaced! My hubby waited and he ended up falling with both because the balance with the bone on bone is bad! Suggestion before replacement is to build up your quad muscle! Riding a stationary bike really helped with the recovery! Wishing you the best!!!
First - your family is beautiful! Second - I’m in line for knee replacement myself. During our last cruise (Mar ‘24) on day 11 of a 15 day, I decided to do laundry. The laundromat on the deck below was closer then walking to the front of the ship. And even though I have had some knee, hip, and nerve issues, I decided that it would be a good idea to use the stairs instead of the elevator. That night and for the remainder of the cruise I had to deal with some tough knee pain especially at night. Finally made it to my doctor and that’s where I was informed that I am 100% bone on bone and would need a total knee replacement and soon rather then later. I have received some cortisone shots which is helping until surgery. The cortisone shot has also helped with my hip and thigh pain.
So nice seeing you and hearing about your return. I’ve traveled extensively but never for the length of time you did. Even returning after a month long trip can be daunting so I can only imagine how difficult your return was. Thanks so much for sharing with us.
Welcome to reality😁I’m happy you got to hug the grandkids ❤️and how you both are taking one issue at a time and staying as calm and positive as you were on the cruise! Thank you for sharing with us 😁
Great seeing you two at home with your babies. Im so happy that you got to spend time in Texas with your family and friends. Love your videos. Thanks for giving us reality that it's not easy coming back and everything isn't perfect. Keep bringing us these videos. Until next time. Take care of yourselves
I had one day replaced at 73. The one thing I did was I found some videos that had a physical therapist recommending exercises to do for several weeks before surgery. Really simple things nothing hard or difficult. But someone else had recommended them so I kept with the program. I left the hospital with more than 90° bend and within two weeks I was walking a mile. So good luck most people I’ve talked to her are way happier than before the replacement. It does take a little longer though to get through TSA. I’m glad because I enjoy traveling with you. If you are ever in the Fort Worth area again, I feel I owe you a dinner for all the enjoyment you gave me so if you don’t have anyone to go out to dinner with, I would be glad to treat you. Stay safe.
This is Nancy here and thanks for sharing this information. I’m so glad things went well for you. It’s frustrating for me because walking I’m OK, but it’s stairs and sitting and standing when I put that pressure on my knees that it gives me a fit. I do try to keep moving though.
Not sure if this helps, but I have read where avoiding inflammatory foods will help with pain issues (knees, joints). For me, gluten is inflammatory so I delved in and became gluten free and only eat whole “real” foods….no processed foods whatsoever. Nothing gets past my lips that is just “real”food…..no sugar, no gluten, no processed food, etc. that has helped me tremendously. I am amazed how pain free my whole body feels and I have been in pain EVERY day for YEARS. Good luck with your healing and I’m sure surgery will be fine if that is needed….I plan to avoid that as long as possible. I mean, what did people do 100 years ago? They didn’t have knee replacements so I feel the foods we eat today contribute to many of our health issues! Take care and thank you both for ALL your videos!❤
This is Nancy here and I agree with you 100% on food. I really do try to eat healthy. Food on the cruise was challenging. Wine every day for the most part and we hardly ever drink at home normally. I really tried to cut out sugar. But should probably try to cut out gluten as well.
Congratulations on maintaining a positive attitude. A home consistently demands attention and upkeep; I can only imagine the extent of work that has accumulated over the past nine months. Balancing a business, a home with a garden, family responsibilities, and health concerns is quite a challenge. A cruise appears to be an ideal getaway. It seems that you will not have any leisure time in the near future.
I’ve have been having major hip and knee problems and the recommendation that has changed my life is walking in water against a current. Check your ymca or local city indoor pools or rec centers to see if they have a lazy River. I live near Fort Worth and we have at least 2 loc rec centers and one ymca that have a lazy River near me.I walk 15 min against the current, then 15 with the current, and then repeat it. I walk 1 hour total and it has changed my life. I could barely put pressure on my knees and had trouble sitting and standing also. I worked up to the hour starting with 20 min and slowly adding time. I now am pain free and walk at least 1 time a week for maintenance to keep it pain free. The physical therapist told me it’s above and below the knees that need strengthening and for me it was my hips and ankles and the water walking against current really helps the hips. Do not be surprised to be sore the first several times doing this.
Oh wow. Thank you so much for sharing this. We actually have a YMCA that is getting ready to open later this fall that is pretty near to our house. It will have an indoor pool, but I don’t think it will have a lazy river. But thank you so much for the tips. I truly appreciate them.
Good to see you settling back in, Mike and Nancy! I'm sure you'll be back in the swing of your business and enjoying your new vehicles soon. I wanted to say Steve had both knees replaced (one in January of 2023 and the other in April, so over 7 months before the world cruise) and if you decide to go that route, he thinks a key to the best possible outcome is doing the PT religiously. Also, I believe generally, they want you to not have had a steroid shot for three to six months before you get the surgery, so that is something to factor into your planning if you think you might get the steroid shot before going to Egypt. And we didn't gain any weight on the cruise, but I did gain 10 pounds after getting home! LOL! I think it was the stress of taking care of our 3-year-old grandson and concern over the complicated twin pregnancy our daughter-in-law was having. But now, everyone is fine, so I hope to lose my extra pounds, too!
Oh, I’m so glad to hear that. Everyone is fine now. We missed you on the cruise. Are you considering the reunion cruise? I’m not ready for a replacement yet. I just don’t feel like I’m to that level. But I’ve got to do some thing so I can handle stairs. Plus handle the sitting and standing.
OMG those weeds! l definitely would have hired a gardener to keep check. We have cruised several times for 7 weeks during our winter when weeds don’t grow as much.Still enough to do when we get home.Good Luck 🍀 with your knees Nancy & cuddle those grandies lots.🐨🦘🙏♥️
Great video. We traveled for just 5 weeks and were amazed at the "settling back in" time. I'm curious, when you unpacked, did you find things that you would choose to NOT take again if you were to do another long voyage?
Really very little. There were things that we left for the crew or donated that we just didn’t need but for the most part, I felt like we had packed very well.
Thanks for introducing us to your beautiful family. Seeing them and spending time with them must have been such a wonderful experience for you both! Even though you had so many tasks to do upon your return it seems that you were well prepared and tackled everything successfully. Kudos to you both for joining Weight Watchers to get the extra weight off! To me it looked as if you were losing weight as time went on instead of the other way around; you did a tremendous amount of walking to counterbalance the tempting food experiences. Congratulations on the brand new vehicles….what nice welcome home “gifts!” I am so glad to hear that there will be more adventures coming up with Egypt and travels in your RV! Nancy, I am so sorry to hear about diagnosis about your knees. Both of my knees are severely bone on bone arthritis and stairs are rough to handle. Some days are better than others but you always know the discomfort is there. I have been avoiding the replacements ( I don’t know why!) but many of my friends and family members have had theirs done and are so glad they did. I am sure you have been advised that you have to figure in at least three months of recovery time with lots of physical therapy but I am sure it’s all worthwhile in the end! Good luck to you both as you continue to get back to being “home sweet home.” Enjoy those beautiful grandchildren and keep posting your wonderful videos.🍁
Thank you so much for all your kind words. We truly appreciate them. This is Nancy here and honestly I’m very scared of having the surgery. I don’t think I’m quite ready for it yet. But then again maybe I’m just in denial.😉
You guys are troopers. Home maintenance is always an issue whether you’re home or not. Thanks for being honest about your experience. Just curious, why did you decide to sell both vehicles before your trip?
They were both 10 years old with a lot of miles. Mine, Nancy’s, we sold to our daughter who was in need of a reliable vehicle. The other one was actually owned by our business and we traded it in for a catering van for the business.
I have grown to love watching you both. I feel like I’m able to enjoy a clip of your travel. Great idea…this here TH-cam. 😂 thank you ! I’m not sure if I’ve missed it. But have you posted your grand total yet ? I found your early videos and am enjoying them. I hope to catch up.! Keep traveling ! 🇺🇸🙏🏼🥰
Nancy - I empathize with you in regards to knee pain. I suffered for several years putting off replacement and finally I had my 1st knee replacement and could not believe the surgery was less painful than what I experienced prior to having that done. The shots weren't working for me. My suggestion is to really consider having surgery sooner than later and I don't think you will regret it. Love you channel and watch every episode!!! Jackie Sathre
In Columbus Ohio, we have QC Kinetix. I'm not sure if they are across the country, but they use your own cells to regenerate your own body. No surgery. Might be worth looking into for your knee. Love your videos. Welcome home. Safe travels. ❤
Good luck on knee replacement surgery. I had my first knee done in March. I am now weeks post surgery on my other knee. Recovery is slow but well worth it. I wish I had done it sooner as I was having pain when walking. Prayers that you get relief.
I had both needs replaced it was 3month recovery but so worth it the negative I waited to long and lost 2 inches and can’t kneel at church but would do it again in a heart beat
Very interesting on all that goes on preparing and then returning back to "real life". Really enjoying all of your videos and looking forward to seeing the rest of your adventures. Side note: I thought I wouldn't enjoy them as much watching them after I knew your cruise was over but that isn't the case at all!
Thanks for the update , wow so much to do ! The yard , trees down, no water , buying cars. Yikes, I was getting overwhelmed just listening. 😁 . Nancy good luck w your knees and hip . I recently got a steroid shot in my knee , all pain dissapeared but of course steroids are not good for you. Hang in there , looking forward to your video on France. Have a blessed day.
That’s one nice homecoming welcome for you two. Nice library as background! Oooooo, cute grandkids! Wow, everything ARE bigger in Taxes…. Minus buying a brand new house, it sounds like you have just moved to a different and distance place, didn’t it? Can’t wait for those RV trips. Nancy, may God heal you and blessings to your doctors while treating you.
I have severe arthritis in both hips and I recommend taking turmeric . Not all turmeric is created equal so do some research and get recommendations. I’ve been taking it for quite a while and it allows me to keep going without having surgery. I also use swimming laps as my form of exercise and wouldn’t still be moving without it. The final thing I really recommend is taking a close look at your diet. Some foods (mostly carbs) have a direct impact on how much pain I’m feeling. I’m a mature woman (79) and prefer to deal with my issues without surgery. Hope you are able to find what works best for you. Have truly enjoyed living vicariously through your videos. Most enjoyable. Thanks.
This is Nancy here and I agree with absolutely everything you say. I do take turmeric. And I try to avoid sugar. And I certainly agree that it’s vital to keep moving.
Nancy, I am so sorry to hear that you were having knee problems. My 63-year-old sister had her knee replaced a couple years ago and she’s doing great. She went on a Mediterranean cruise last year and was able to climb all the steps, especially when she went to Greece. I’ve seen videos about people having medical surgeries in Thailand, just because it seems much cheaper there than the US. Too bad you don’t live in Canada or I’m from as we don’t have to pay for any medical expenses, especially surgeries.
I wonder if the hip is related to slight gait changes because of the knees. This happened to my friend and the hip stopped hurting after her knee replacement. Either way I hope you find something soon to help you. But wow! What an intense reentry from the cruise. I’m so impressed with how expeditiously yall are handling all the challenges. And bravo for the weight loss. Seeing your family was a highlight of the video. ❤
Hello Mike and Nancy glad to hear things at home are getting back to normal . My hot water heater went 250 ltr tank and plumbing and electrics $ 4800 later. Nancy knee replacements are really painful do your research befoe you deside . Love from Sydney
Synvisc injections. None of that helped me and I ended up having to have both knees replaced first one was at 55. The second one was a few years later. Best thing I ever did, but boy that is a tough surgery. I’ve had many mini surgeries in my life, including lower back surgery for ruptured discs, and the knee replacement was other than worse, but it does heal and you feel much better once you’re done.
I've had total knee replacements in both knees left in 2009 and right in 2012 and and they're wonderful -- pain was very little with the least needed analgesic and I was walking without a cane within 3 days and have had no problems ever since --no pain or stiffness----no walkers or assistance of any kind and both work so well I forget I've even had surgery --I highly recommend the operational route and am sure you'll be pleased with the result--just opt for a skilled surgeon who's had previous success with the procedure and you'll be so relieved to be rid of your pain
Hi Nancy! May I suggest you see a chiropractor? We're the same age, or close to it; I really didn't think it would be helpful, but boy was I wrong! Hopefully, if your spine can be properly adjusted it'll help your hip. In addition to your PT exercises, this might be able to help your knee as well. Good luck!!
Thank you for the suggestion. I have not tried a chiropractor. It may be some thing I will consider, but I’ve always been a bit afraid of going to one.
Hi. I was waiting to hear how you are doing being home. I love you speaking about the grand babies. I am expecting my first granddaughter in February 2025.
It’s good to be home although we were just saying that we miss our friends on the ship. Congratulations on your grandbaby to be. Being a grandma is the absolute best!
I have avoided having a 2nd knee replacement by taking turmeric 1500mg (be sure it has biopiprine/black pepper). I use quonal as the brand. It takes a month to help relieve pain.
I have been taking turmeric since I got home. I’ll check to see if it has the other ingredient she mentioned. I’m not so sure that it does. I also started taking collagen.
Sure can, you can attach your phone with a USB to HDMI cable or a computer HDMI to HDMI. Then fire up your VPN so that it looks like you're back in the US and not on the ship and then stream from your favorite streaming site
Hip pain could be from muscle in balance. Get to a physical therapist. (if insurance covers, or hire a personal trainer) If the injections help or not, you need to build certain muscles. And if you end up needing the knee replacement, those exercises will help you get through the surgery much easier. Hey, the injections may help prolong having a surgery. Some go years with help from the injections. But do not wait too long. Wow. You both hit the ground running.
Nancy get the knees done ( replaced ) your grandkids will be so excited , remember as soon as you sit on the floor to play they want you UP again !! 😂😂😂😂 Remember it takes about a year to truly heal from knee surgery !!! Keep the vlogs going
Knee problems. Such a huge pain, literally. I am having the same problem. I’ve been battling bone on bone for a year. I have had the cortisone injections - helps for a week or so, then I am back to pain. I did have a visco shot and it help for a little while. I am having another one in a couple of weeks. Ask your doc for either meloxicam or celebrex. It’s a prescription grade ibuprofen. Also try voltaren cream. It is over the counter. Your back / hip maybe be hurting because of the way you are walking. I do NOT want a knee replacement (I am scared of the pain) but I do NOT want to keep living with this pain. And I want to live my life enjoyably. I am prepared to after the 1st of the year - like Jan 2 (!!!) to have it replaced. I need to drive to WI for a g’daughter’s high school graduation in May. Girl I totally understand the pain. Everything you said is what I am feeling. I hope you can get some resolution soon - pain colors your life, and it’s not pretty.
Thank you for sharing your story. I’m scared to death of having a knee replacement or two of them. The thing is is it doesn’t hurt to walk. It’s just stairs or getting in and out of a seated position.😬
There are new owners at Heim. Heard it is not as good now. We always go to Cousin's BBQ. I love their BBQ Meat Potato. Just a few small shops on the south end of Ft. Worth and even at the airport.
I did get some knee sleeves that I wear when I’m doing a lot of movement. I got those here just a couple of weeks ago and yes, they do seem to help a bit.
My prayers w are with Nancy I have had 4 knee surgeries two of them knee replacement and two caused by infection and do this i have to use a walker My advice is see a couple different doctors for your knees
Post menopause can cause the hip pain. Look for Dr Mary Claire she talks about many unexpected side of menopause. I’ve had good luck with turmeric with curcumin and as someone else mentioned watch your intake of inflammatory foods.
Get the knee replacement! Rough recovery but then life changing. You have lots more active living to do! Do the surgery asap. I big time regret delaying it for years with steroid shots etc
it’s actually our daughter and son-in-law and they have three babies under two and one with special needs so as much as that would’ve been nice, we certainly cannot ask them. Their plate is full.
The hardest thing I feel is the weight gain on the cruises. Lose it and then gain it. You can eat healthy , but most people eat three meals and more at them.
Thank you. This is Nancy here and honestly I’m scared. It’s frustrating because I’m OK walking. It’s just stairs and sitting and standing up from a seated position. That’s what gives my knees fits.
Check out DR Alyssa Kuhn. She is a DR of PT and specializes in arthritis. She is on TH-cam and all the socials. She is a wealth of info on how to avoid surgery. I also have arthritis in my knees and I take her advice; doing much better.

Welcome home!
Donna
Thank you, Donna. I think I’m much like you. It only hurts when I take the stairs or sit down and stand up.😬
I can't wait until we see your Christmas tree 🎄 and all the ornaments you got on the cruise !! God bless, and I'm glad you're home safe 🙏 !!!!!
Thank you!
Went through all the knee options you mentioned. Nothing worked, go for surgery, changed my life! Fantastic!
Thanks for sharing.😀
Knee replacement takes rehab but so worth it. My 92 year old aunt had it done and was able to do walking excursions again.
Oh, that’s so nice to hear.

Aw. Thanks so much!🥰
I just recovered from my knee replacement Aug 5 Took a good 2 months to recover
You will know when it’s time when your knee hurts at night and wakes you up
Happy it’s over with

I am exactly the same with my knees - fine when I walk but awful going up and down stairs. Good luck with what you decide to do.
Thank you so much.
pro tip: get the surgery. have a great pt and do the rehab. you will feel so much better.
Thank you. I love your pro tip.😉

Thank you for this realistic recap. It feels like you’ve become our friends, and Ive wondered how you’re getting along. ❤
This is Nancy here and it’s a good thing. I married my best friend all those years ago so for the most part we get along wonderfully.😉
My 82 year old Dad had knee replacement 7 months ago... He's very mobel and pain free today. Amazing life changing procedure.
Thank you so much for sharing this.

Thanks for sharing! I'm glad you're enjoying your grandchildren.
Always!
Glad you made it down to Texas, I recognized DFW airport right away!
This is Nancy here and we’ve been home about six weeks and have been going nonstop!😉
You have a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing.❤❤
Thank you so much!☺️
Good to see you settling back in, Mike and Nancy!
Thanks so much. And I am giving those grandbabies lots of hugs.🥰
Thank you for taking us on your world cruise but it's always nice to come home
It is nice to be home.
@@livingphase2 Makes sense. Thanks
Thank you so much for following along with our journey.
Thank you so much for sharing and for the encouragement. I truly appreciate it.
In Columbus Ohio, we have QC Kinetix. I'm not sure if they are across the country, but they use your own cells to regenerate your own body. No surgery. Might be worth looking into for your knee. Love your videos. Welcome home. Safe travels. ❤
Thanks so much for letting me know about this. I truly appreciate your sharing this information and I will look into it.
Good luck on knee replacement surgery. I had my first knee done in March. I am now weeks post surgery on my other knee. Recovery is slow but well worth it. I wish I had done it sooner as I was having pain when walking. Prayers that you get relief.
Thank you so very much! I appreciate the prayers.
Ok Mike I don't want you Smiling More , But your beautiful Grandbabies all seem to Favor you !!! , 😂❤❤❤❤
Those little munchkins are the sweetest. Thank you.
I had both needs replaced it was 3month recovery but so worth it the negative I waited to long and lost 2 inches and can’t kneel at church but would do it again in a heart beat
That is so nice to hear your encouragement. I love reading all these wonderful positive comments about great knee replacement results.
Very interesting on all that goes on preparing and then returning back to "real life". Really enjoying all of your videos and looking forward to seeing the rest of your adventures. Side note: I thought I wouldn't enjoy them as much watching them after I knew your cruise was over but that isn't the case at all!
Oh good. We appreciate you following along with us as our journey continues.
So lovely to see how you guys are settling back into everyday life and catching up with family 😊 That was one big wasps nest 😅
Yes, it was!
Stay Safe All Ways All
Thank you.
This video is interesting and informative 🤗
Lep pozdrav iz Slovenije
Thank you.
And congrats on the weight loss!
Thanks so much.
Thanks so much. I go back to the doctor in November and I am afraid steroids are probably in my near future.
Thank you so much. I truly appreciate the prayers.🥰
Thank you so much for sharing and for the encouragement.
Very informative. What was it like returning to your parish after the trip?
Our Church family was glad to see us come back. And it felt good to come back to our regular church.
I hope that you visit Canada (in the summer) when you get your RV! 😊❤
Absolutely we will. This is Nancy speaking and I would love to do a cross country tour of Canada.
You know, I had wondered thattoo. But I’ve had an x-ray. We will update more on a TH-cam short in the near future when I have all the results.😬
Hello Mike and Nancy glad to hear things at home are getting back to normal . My hot water heater went 250 ltr tank and plumbing and electrics $ 4800 later. Nancy knee replacements are really painful do your research befoe you deside . Love from Sydney
I am very scared of having my knees replaced. I’m not ready for it yet, but afraid it is in my future. Sorry about your hot water heater too.😬
Get your knee replacement! I did both my hips and I am so glad. Don't put it off until other things go wrong! Thanks for the update.
Thanks so much for sharing.
I don’t feel like I’m ready for the surgery yet and yes, I’m very scared of having it done as I feel it’s most likely in my future.
Thanks so much for sharing your story. I really appreciate it.
When we leave our summer home for the winter we just turn off and drain the water and the heat.
Glad to see that you guysare home and sharing with family

Welcome Home Mike and Nancy, I loved all your world cruise videos!
Mike... with Surfshark could you stream to your cabin tv? Say to watch football?
Sure can, you can attach your phone with a USB to HDMI cable or a computer HDMI to HDMI. Then fire up your VPN so that it looks like you're back in the US and not on the ship and then stream from your favorite streaming site
@@livingphase2 Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing this. We appreciate you.
Nancy get the knees done ( replaced ) your grandkids will be so excited , remember as soon as you sit on the floor to play they want you UP again !! 😂😂😂😂 Remember it takes about a year to truly heal from knee surgery !!!
Keep the vlogs going
Thanks so much.
We always share meals on a cruise rather than a meal each. You can’t outrun your fork!
That is so true. You cannot out exercise, a bad diet.😉
I'm hesitant on the Voltaren cream , the cardio side effects scare me.
@@loisunderhill7555 then you need to only use it with a doctors approval. I totally understand.
Next time we go down to Texas, we’ll have to try cousins barbecue. Interesting that Heim has new owners. Did not know that.
I LOVE Frog Eye Salad....our Apple Spice closed......I miss my Frog Eye Salad
We love our frog eye salad too. That’s too bad yours closed. Be sure to stop by ours if you are in Grand Rapids.😉
It’s great that you had time with your family why are you not wearing a brace on your knees? It does help
I did get some knee sleeves that I wear when I’m doing a lot of movement. I got those here just a couple of weeks ago and yes, they do seem to help a bit.
Losing weight is great for your knees 🤘
Yes it is!
Wow so much to do, not just unpacking the cases when you got back. You have gorgeous grand kids, what are their names?
Thanks so much. They are Levi, Hudson, Oliver, and Lacey.❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you@@livingphase2
My prayers w are with Nancy I have had 4 knee surgeries two of them knee replacement and two caused by infection and do this i have to use a walker My advice is see a couple different doctors for your knees
Thank you. I’m sorry you had to have four surgeries.😬
Thanks I am glad I new knees put in because I am not in so much pain
Post menopause can cause the hip pain. Look for Dr Mary Claire she talks about many unexpected side of menopause. I’ve had good luck with turmeric with curcumin and as someone else mentioned watch your intake of inflammatory foods.
I’ve heard of Mary Claire. I’ll look into her some more. I do take turmeric and have tried to really cut out the sugar. Thank you so much for sharing.
Get the knee replacement! Rough recovery but then life changing. You have lots more active living to do! Do the surgery asap. I big time regret delaying it for years with steroid shots etc
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I appreciate reading it.
Family 10 minutes away. Gone for 9 months. Too bad no family help.
it’s actually our daughter and son-in-law and they have three babies under two and one with special needs so as much as that would’ve been nice, we certainly cannot ask them. Their plate is full.
Go niners!!!! 🤣🤣
😂
Did you folks need to have the Yellow Fever Vaccine for any of your ports? If so, did you get the vaccine or the exemption.
Yes, we needed it in Africa. And we did both get the vaccination. We had no side effects.
i understand the pain. do you take any medications? i found out that my cholosterol medicine was causing the majority of my joint/muscle pain.
I’ll look into the medication. I take to see if that’s a possible side effect. Thank you for sharing.
The hardest thing I feel is the weight gain on the cruises. Lose it and then gain it. You can eat healthy , but most people eat three meals and more at them.
That is so true.
Think twice before knee surgery. My daughter had a and now she can't walk.
REPLACEMENT! You won’t regret it!
Thank you.
Where do you live in Michigan? We are in Kalamazoo!
Well, we are practically neighbors. We live south of Grand Rapids.
@@livingphase2 it’s such a small world!
OMG whats the name of this company that pulls weeds??????People in the high desert of California would pay a lot for the service!
It’s a local company called “His Workmanship”
Do the surgery. You will be glad you did it.
Thank you. This is Nancy here and honestly I’m scared. It’s frustrating because I’m OK walking. It’s just stairs and sitting and standing up from a seated position. That’s what gives my knees fits.
It doesn't really make any sense why you leave a house sitter to pay them for all that time and they don't do anything like keeping it up
I would go class C, not class A
Thank you.
Check out DR Alyssa Kuhn. She is a DR of PT and specializes in arthritis. She is on TH-cam and all the socials. She is a wealth of info on how to avoid surgery. I also have arthritis in my knees and I take her advice; doing much better.
I follow her on TH-cam. She has some great exercises and tips.
Oops I guess I have to unlike you Life long saints fan here parents had season tickets from day 1 till Covid.
We can still be friends.😉
