Glad to see you've finally got your 3080. I built my new rig in November with a 5900x, wanted a 3080 myself but couldn't find stock so I paid extra for a Founders Edition 3090 in December. Now even those are out of stock everywhere. Crazy times, but good to see gamers are actually receiving these now and not just scalping bots
Crazy times indeed, but yes, with patience and a bit of luck, it's still possible to get these cards! Grats on the 3090! I saw one sitting on a shelf at my local shop back in January, and I ALMOST bought, but I just couldn't justify the price.
@@theASMRnerd Yeah they are expensive cards, but the performance is extremely good I must admit. Compared to the 2070 super I had previously the performance difference is night and day. Plus I managed to make a good return on the sale of my 2070 super, so it didn't work out too badly for me in the end. Have fun with the 3080 👍

Have you ever thought about putting some of your content onto a platform like apple music. Gibi and Frivi do this and it makes consuming ASMR whislt studying way easier. Thanks for your super kind words! I don't currently have any plans to upload my content to audio-only platforms like Apple Music or Spotify, because I think too much of it relies on having the visual component as well. It's something I'll consider for the future, though!
I was looking at building a PC for the first time at the start of the pandemic, then I realized I could buy an upgraded Alienware PC pre-built for me for nearly the same price as the graphics card in it was selling for 😂. And I was able to get the larger R8 case compared to the ones they do now so I have plenty of room if I want to swap things out in the future 😋
I heard, that the founders edition has bad pads on the dram, some people achieved 30deg C less on their ram by exchanging woth copper or thermal or arctic.
Yesss I can't wait to crank that bad boy to 4K and enjoy the eye candy! Amazing that we're talking about using a $1000 GPU to run D2 in 2021, but here we are 😂
Yes! I haven't actually tried it yet, because I have to update my BIOS and VBIOS to enable it, but I'll give it a shot soon. A lil extra performance is always welcome!

It's a really difficult time to build a gaming PC, and I'm sorry if this came across as a flex. I'm just really excited about it! But if you have a vendor that allows you to backorder GPUs and are willing to wait about 6 months, you can probably get one too!

So you are using a LG OLED 49 inches Display right? How is that working Out for you AS an PC Gamer. Im currently thinking about doing excactly that too but im afraid that the distance between me and the Monitor will be too small for PC gaming.😄 Is it allright?
Yes, I'm using the LG CX48 OLED for my PC display. It's working out great! It's definitely huge, but if I push it to the back of my desk and crank FOV up to the max in my games, it's not uncomfortable. My eyes sit about about a meter away, I'd say. It fills most of my view and having all the peripheral is quite immersive.
I was wonder how my rx 6800 was going to stick in the pc slot as well, these new cards are huge. but they work very, 1440p, 120fps for everything (except cyberpunk)
Was going to get the same card but couldn’t get my hands on it and eBay was to expensive so I went with a msi gaming trio 6800xt ended up paying 1200$ but the rtx 3080 was almost 2grand so I went with the cheaper option because I knew there would be more stock issues but anyway great video love the anti static bags you should make a video dedicated to those

Yeah I can barely even imagine the immensity of the 3090! And you're right, it dumps a LOT of heat into the case, but I've done some stress testing and so far, so good!
A friend of mine had to send his 3080 back for warranty cuz the fans werent working. They sent him a 1660Ti as a temporary card cuz they couldn't send him a new one due to the shortages xD
Because he has a normal range of emotions and doesn’t get angry at potentially and probably a none issue. I can imagine you get angry every time your Mother buys the wrong cereal or Toilet paper.
It's a minor aesthetic blemish and it's on the side of the card that faces the motherboard, so it's not visible when installed. And considering how rare these cards are, I'm lucky to have one at all. I would only mind if it impacted functionality, which it doesn't, so I don't feel it's worth getting upset about. Life is too short to get mad about every little thing :)

Well, to be fair, that 450W is the MAX allowed and only if you REALLY want to push it haha. If you leave things at stock, I believe it tops out closer to 320 W. Which is still a LOT, but not quite as crazy. I have a 750 W power supply, and it seems to be working happily so far!

I have the 3090 version of this, mine is water cooled now. Water cooling of these cards is worth every penny, my 3090 never goes above 50c.

Yeah, the FE and even some AIB models have very sub-par VRAM cooling. This model is supposed to be good in that regard though!
