- Even though this Premier Rides coaster opened in 2004, it remains one of the most unique indoor coasters in the world and is a hell of a lot of fun!
Universal Studios Islands of Adventure is located in Orlando, Florida.

I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan and went to universal for that but I'm serious when I say this is the BEST RIDE at both universal parks. Seriously.
That last dropped always gets me!!! The first time caught me off guard so bad, I couldn't even scream anymore. Pretty sure I passed out.
We went back the next day and rode it two more times in a row until we felt sick. Hands down the best ride at the park.
This ride kicks so much ass! Best indoor coaster by miles!
Ikr!
it is!
Corbin Burdette yeah boiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
"Best indoor coaster", lol look at Mindbender at West Edmonton Mall's Galaxyland in Alberta, Canada
I love how scary it is I’m not such a big roller coaster person my sled but this ride is so fun and scary at the same time!!!!
Honestly, I feel that Universal should make more rides like this instead of all the simulators
YES!! If Universal ever gets rid of this ride my desire to go back to the park will completely diminish. I feel as if the only rides I'd go on now if I went back are The Mummy, Shrek 4-D and Jurassic Park. It's a shame they got rid of Twister, Jaws, The Terminator, and Disaster! It's as if they want the rides to be less immersive. Sit in a car type of thing and stare at a screen as you get bounced around.
The last time we took a family vacation to Universal Orlando the Harry Potter ride was new. Both that and The Simpsons ride were my introductions to rides that relied heavily on simulation. It didn't feel real. I could tell I was just staring at a screen projection. In the end it did nothing but make me nauseous and get a headache.
I understand that the old, and unfortunately dated, rides have to go in order to appeal to the new audiences (ex. Minions ride) but in my opinion it's some huge losses for the park.
Exactly, i need suspense
The video doesn't do the ride justice, the lighting looks so much better in person.
I agree
This ride has a huge drop I never saw coming. It was a big surprise lol.
I actually thought that was a simulator.
Until I started going backwards. Then I knew I was screwed. .__.
same. i'm terrified of coasters. I felt so betrayed. 0_0
Me too! I didn't know it was a coaster T_T
I knew it was a rollercoaster, but the rest of my family didn't. I didn't spoil it for them, but all of them were taken by surprise
I was the only one who knew, the rest of my family didn't. I decided not to ruin the fun by not telling them, so they were taken by suprise
The same happened to me !!!! I thought that it was only ahahahha
I got on this ride not knowing it was an actual roller coaster (Ive never rode one before and I thought this was a simulator) and it was sooo intense!!! but now that I been on, I would love to do it again
I didn't know either and actually got on with my (then) 5 y.o niece... Yeah...She's 14 now and hasn't lived down then reaction lol
It's freaking awesome!
@@Natty2Lyte757 How could you not of seen the TV adverts etc-for it before going on there?? lol
Fr this happened to me and my family and I deadass passed out😂😂
It’s actually super out of my comfort zone but it’s so fun to ride either way
This is exactly how I remembered riding it. Imhotep (the mummy) was a very terrifyingly lifelike animatronic, the fire made me feel like I was being cooked, the fake ending was great, overall, one of the best attractions.
I haven’t been to Universal Studios in like more than a decade. So I was curious to see how well they maintained the animatronic. After watching a different Mummy ride video filmed about a month ago, excuse me, but WTF? The animatronic is almost as stiff as the Jurassic Park animatronics at Universal Hollywood. The fact that the park operators limited the mummy’s movement to “cut costs” is just awful. I’m glad I went to universal when I did. Before most of these changes happened. Such as getting rid of Twister, BTTF and Terminator 2 3D. While I can understand these changes, because we’re way past 2015, Twister is not that relevant of a movie anymore (Guess I was wrong, there’s a Twister sequel now), and Terminator has been broken for years (Thanks Dark Fate and Genesis, Ugh!!!) To me, the worst removal was Jaws.
Thank goodness for videos like this. A relic and reminder of Universal Studios at its prime.
They also made his movement more stiff so people knew he was a animatronic. People thought it was a man in a costume
verified and 3 likes what
Dark Fate and Genisis were just bad films not woke. Now with the recent refurbishment the revenge of the mummy attraction looks a lot better. Especially with the animatronics now working properly and the upgraded lighting as well.
Universal is still in its prime. Especially with the refurbishment
Voice: are you insane, you gotta get outta here!
Me: Okay well thats enough of a warning for me lets get the fuck of this.....
Agreed.
This is one of the best rides at Universal Studios. I love the story line! When youre in the fire room, the heat is so intense it burned my skin! (Not literally) Underground roller coasters are so different from regular coaster. I cant find the words for how im feeling. But I went on this ride some years ago and it was great. The line isn't all that bad either. They keep you engaged and youre on in a flash. Especially when youre with people. The first time I got on this ride, by far it was one of the best experiences ever. And it wasn't that bad. I was a little nervous of the unknown, for I HATE big dips and drops. But the story kept me from worrying about it all! I got on it a second time the next day, and was surprised at how the track was. It felt way different from the first time, I thought they changed it and added bigger dips just overnight! But like I said. Amazing ride, hope I can get on it again!
It is the best imo
And yes, I was terrified that there was going to be a big drop (I hate drops too).
Jasmine Woods correction is the best ride at universal. I was there yesterday
I love how this ride basically acknowledges that Brendan Fraser being eaten alive by a demonic power is a HAPPY ending.
"Your end shall be my beginning."
"Behold your fate"
"Your souls are MINE"!
"Prepare to forfeit your souls, DEATH IS ONLY THE BEGINNING"
Goddamn, you got to love those lines in that ride. It really puts icing on the cake.
The ONLY part that I hate about this ride is when you get to the wall, that violent jerk of a stop, and then when all of the insects come out there's another painful jerk and then when you get set to go up the hill there's another jerk
it hurts
I hate that, when I first rode it, I didn't see it coming and I got slammed onto the ride
One of my friends actually injured his ribs on that part, he doesn't ride it to this day lol
i agree.
I went on this when i was at universal studios. Worst decision i could've made. I almost shit myself. I might have pissed myself. Holy shit this ride is scary!!
Please tell me I'm not the only person who thought the ride was over at 2:10 the first time I rode this (I was like 11 years old, though lol)
Nope. You're not alone. I literally wish I didn't go on that ride.
I didn't i knew something was up
Your not the only one XD
Lol your not the only one and when I went I started crying when I went off lol xD
***** 😂😂😂 that's messed up
When i was little we walked by this ride and my mom was able to convince my younger self to ride it because it was only a fun dark ride me, not knowing it went backwards and was a mini coaster gave my mom a ''YOU!'' stare while i was holding on to dear life.....im not a big fan of roller coasters XD
my parents made me ride it, i cried through the line and put my hood over my face and cried on the ride xDnow i love the ride (i am 4 years older now)
Same here I don't like roller coasters either and the times that I will get on one I like it when I can see where I'm going
i had a horrible first time, but my brothers and sisters kept making me go on it and eventually i got used to it
I'm a lot more scared of burning to death on this ride if something malfunctions.
***** how. All the fire effects are fixed to go one direction which is not in the direction of the rider.
Damn this ride is fun. When I first rode this I was a kid and I think I blacked out, lol. I rode it again last time I went, and now I'm a teenager. I LOVE roller coasters (Especially Rip Ride Rocket there!), but either I forgot or did NOT EXPECT the speed boost towards the end. This is a lot of fun! :D
This ride is pure perfection. There isn't a better dark ride coaster in America. From start to finish, it's great.
In 2005, I was fortunate to be part of a group of co-workers that were rewarded for good performance by getting an all-expenses paid trip to Orlando and specifically to Universal Studios for the week. Our first night there, they opened up the park only for the 300 of us or so, and we got to ride this and other rides as many times as we could without losing our sanity. Great memories. And this is a great and well-produced ride.
rode this about 10 hours ago, my dad told me: its ok its not scary! just like SPACE MOUNTAIN
spacemountainmyass
xBunnyZii ! said same to me. i might not go on it
Fave ride ever and the queue is always so short, i once did it 4 times in a row w/o waiting
Me and my sister rode this a total of 14 times when we went to Universal Studios last year. By far one of favorite rides!!
Best indoor coaster ever! I got a fastpass my first time at Universal, and I rode this monster 3 times!
Everytime at the end i screamed "BRENDAN FRASER" 😂
best day ever
I went to Universal eariler in the year and I was forced onto this ride.
Things that happened:
-I cried
-I almost died
-I kept my head down and by my dad
-I pretty much ruined the whole thing with my screams
Also, you gotta have some pretty good grip and guts to get a good view, and not drop your phone.
Props man.
1:18 hit my head every time
How tall are you? I'm 6'2" and I never hit my head
No I mean on the back of the seat.
ooh i thought you meant on the stone wall coming down... that wouldve been a major problem
What's really cool about this ride and every other ride in Universal is they really get you in the mood when your waiting in line. all those mini games you can do and all the scenery, that's what makes a ride experience for me
i would probably ride this 50 times in a row and never get tired of the thrill
My sister told me it was a flat track and it was a simulator
I now have trust issues with her after riding jt
I was there a month ago, and it was awesome and terrifying at the same time. 1:21 But the worst part, was to back off fast. That's a lot of G force to hang on! D:
I'm 27 and never rode a rollercoaster before this one. I had my eyes closed while clutching my seat for most of the ride.
It was so fun, I took it for 3 times that day!
I rode it 4 or 5 times. My favorite roller coaster by far.
this is more scarrier than hollywood
at 2:12 when I was little I thought the mummys took over the park and it was real.
Michael Wood
Lol........ kids are dumb.
This ride was awesome, when the coaster went through the wall all I could do is hold my breath.
This is scarier than hulk and all the others. Mainly because you don't know what's coming. It has loads of those fast drops that make your belly go weird:D awesome ride though
I rode this ride like ten years ago. It was the only ride I could take because I'm afraid of roller coasters. It was so much fun! But the fire on the ceiling was REAL...and because of that I'd be skeptical to ride it again. But I probably would anyway lol
This look about ten times better than Hollywood.
XenomorphLV426 it is. I almost feel sorry for Hollywood :/
It's nice to say I was there! This ride is so bad ass! Way better then the one in Hollywood.
One of my favorite rides of all time. It is purely epic.
One of my favorite rides at Universal besides the Harry Potter simulator!
I think I've ridden this 172 times.
Same.
Rode this 4 times when I was there. No more than 10 minutes each time. Very thrilling, and very very well themed for a coaster.
OMG BEST RIDE EVA! I went on this ride before I even understood the whole concept but now that I hav seen the movie i actually understand. If i had to rate this ride out of 5 stars i would give it 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I'm going next month I might go on that ride even though I'm scared of the drop omg
It seems scarier than it really is, I'm terrified of roller coasters but I have to say the Mummy is amazing! If you've ever been on the Harry Potter one and survived, I think you'll love the mummy.
I went on it 5 times its AMAZING
***** lol that was a year ago that i commented that but the ride isnt even that bad after all, plus i went there again on May 1st and rode it lol
delaney04 aj i know
I got freaked out when it went backwards xD
Went on this at Universal Studios in California, I loved this ride! I went on it at LEAST 6 times. At the end of the ride, when you walk outside, sometimes there is a dude on stilts dressed up as Anubis, who scares the living shit out of you. The "feel" of the attraction overall, even outside the coaster itself is beautiful. A must ride in Florida and Cali.
All the special effects is what makes it an amazing ride.
fuck this ride i cried
I almost did. I hated it. I could've shit myself on this ride!
I was bawling and hyperventilating when I got off...
+Rachel Truex What the heck do you mean by that?
+Amayazing! Ok.
so... what are you then? eight?
I hate the part at 2:26 where there's that red smoke because i think i swallowed a bit. But mainly the noise it makes, it's so useless on this ride other than that good ride better than Hollywood version.
(why did I laugh when I read that you swallowed it)
Rachel Truex Ha! I laughed too.
It's water vapor.......
When I was in Orlando for my high school senior trip, it was cold and rainy the entire day we were in universal. We, being a bunch of 17 year olds from NJ on a trip to Florida in mid March were not dressed for the weather. Thus, we rode this ride about four times in a row because the room with the fire warmed us on up!
the mummy is my absolute favorite ride out of all the parks combined. I've been going on it ever since I was tall enough lol. when I was younger, i always made my brother sit on the outside because I thought the mummies would like snatch me lmfaooo.
I rode this last year and it froze in that stupid room at 2:20 for like a minute and I was like "Get me off this thing." I literally thought something malfunction or was about to malfunction and I would burn to death. WAY too much fire. I don't mind it off to the sides that much, but flames shooting over me????
I HATE THIS STUPID RIDE!!!!!
Me too!! I was scared shitless at the fire room part.
i had my eyes closed the whole time because i fet sick. I HATE IT TOO.
When i rode this ride the fire on the ceiling was too hot and it burned and it spat some fire on me and scarred my hand...
iriliean You might want to check the facts before posting a reply because the coaster uses real fire effects.
yea i did not like that it was Actually scary ...seen some of the comments..rode it like 3x in a row really slow day ...pretty sure that was real fire!
iriliean hahahahaha
+XxtechnoxbunnehxX You get paid?
+XxtechnoxbunnehxX oh great I'm not riding this cuz it's too dangerous
I was there in february of this year, with many friends, I prayed all during the game, and told laughing my mother like a baby! Jajaja I was very scared but it was the best place I was in all my life... It was a incredible dream! Miami-Disney for ever in my heart!!! Inclusive this game jajjaja
I fucking love this ride. They need more of these types of rides
Any1else piss their pants when u thought it was going up but went back?
I thought that we were going to drop haha. But yeah I shat it on this thing:D
Yeah, the first time I was so scared!
Sym Rufus I threw up in my mouth a little bc I had just had one of those huge turkey wings before. Idek why
was the fire real
+Crazy_Crumblez Yes.
is top
yes
YOUR SOULS ARE MINE
Yes
This is one of the best rides at the park! The scariest parts were when you hit the wall and all of the beetles start crawling out of the wall and you start going down backwords. It is an awesome ride.
omg when it dropped into the smoke I WAS SO SCARED but i love the way its made
Does this go upside down?
Yes a couple of times it's awesome though
It dos not go up side dawd
No it dus not
Meagan Armstrong No it doesn't. I been on this ride.
Not completely but a lot of the turns are extremely sharp and tilt you all the way to the side
Now where is my GOD DAMN COFFEE! This ride was absolutely perfect! I rode it like 4 times!
Also the ride in the video was the only ride where people didn't keep screaming my ears deaf -_-
This is one of my all time fav movie series I SO WANT TO RIDE THIS RIDE!!!!
Listen closely at the end and you can here Brendan Fraser say “ahhhhhh that feels good”
one of the best rides of all time such a classic
Every time I go to Universal, we always ride this ride over and over again because it's SO FUN! And we never pull the seat belt thingy down all the way because on the drops you can get a lot of air and it feels so awesome!
When the roller coaster went backwards I was absolutely done!
Oh wow! It looks way different than the one in Hollywood! I love it.
This ride is insane! First time I rode it I had no idea what was going on and I thought the fake end was the actual one, so I was really surprised. Rides like that are great!
Your pov ride is great! The sounds and the camera!😊
Without a doubt my favorite ride. I have gotten on every single ride on universal and this ones my favorite. Inhave gotten on jt at least 20 times
Flashpass + this ride = best coaster
You mean worst roller coaster.
seriously one of the best rides at the park.
I wasn't expecting the first drop to go backwards and I nearly crapped my pants when it happened.
This is the best ride out there. I rode it 6 times and now that I'm back home I just keep thinking about it lol I can't wait to go next year
Aw man, I was in line for this ride after going through both parks for thirteen hours and my hip gave out suddenly. Thanks for posting; now I know what I missed.
Best ride still at universal Orlando by far. Transformers is a close second, but this ride is so much more intense! I love the mummy, I was just at universal last week- we rode 6 times - my six year old rode up front!!!
it was the first time i visited orlando last month (im from the west midlands in england, UK) and i can easily say, this ride was the most memorable, fun, unique and the one i regret not going on more than once!
One of the finest rides on earth
this is the best ride in the whole park hands down
i would have to say that is one of the BEST rides ive been on. i went on it 35 times in one day because we got to the park at 9 in the morning. i would recommend going on this if you like HIGH SPEED ROLLERCOASTERS!!!
I did not know this was a roller coaster when I went on. I never rode one before and as trembling after but no regrets!
This was our favourite ride at the park. Excellent and unexpected.
my fave part was the fake ending that was so cool!
Dang this ride looks so BOSS!
That's because it is Boss
The first lunch was awesome and the first turn caught me off guard and flinged my upper body over the train
The launch on the lift hill catches me off guard every single time
I was stuck on single riders in the front seat for the first time. I have a thing for not liking roller coasters in the dark and indoors but I loved this.
I spent the whole process screaming "oh god I am so screwed!!!!!!!"
when i went on this ride it was the best indoor ride i ever went on also there was one part where i felt like i was gonna fall out that was kinda scary but fun
Best ride at Universal. Rode it twice, one after the other.
I remember I was seven when I went on this ride. It was my first roller coaster, and I remember I had my eyes closed the whole tire time. The next time I go to Florida I am going to Universal and riding this ride again. I want to take in everything I missed out on when I was a scardy cat. (Plus i'm a huge fan of the films now)
This is my favorite ride ever and I miss it🥺🥺
I love the shootout part on the ride at 1:47 it feels amazing I will go on this ride over and over again just for that one part lol.
I was there yesterday. I screamed so load. My dad said it was just a show but then he tricked me into going into that roller coaster, and he knows I hate roller coasters. I still liked it. The drops were epic :)
Rode this ride back when I was in 8th grade...
Now I'll be going there this month for my senior year grad bash!!! :D
yes it does. then it takes u up. it is one of the most best rollercoaster ever made!!
Me and my son went on it 12 times in 3 days, the best ride in the Universal Lot.
I was shit-scared during the ride and when it got to 2:40, my friend told me (after the ride) that I was screaming "give me coffee" throughout the rest of the ride :P
This was my favorite ride when I went to universal (2007). It's a ride for all.
