@@suselew True leaves are the mature leaves of the plant, as opposed to the smaller, often not fully developed seed leaves (cotyledons) that appear when the plant first sprouts. Look down the stem from the spent bloom until you find a pair of fully developed leaves.
Hi Kathleen, Pinky Winky is beautiful! It is a panicle hydrangea, which blooms later in the season. They also bloom on new wood, so you don't have to worry about timing as much. The panicles in my area are blooming now (zone 7). Maybe yours will bloom soon! Do you see any buds?
