I've drooled over so many of the knives you've brought us Jim. But this one... this is the first I've seen that is a must have. Time to start saving those pennies!
The sound of the knife action is great. The geometry is very nice! The curve on the blade is just awesome! Jim I'm wondering if the pocket clip could be made in tow pieces? I don't see how we could of the black and green on a one piece.
The pocket clip is blasted on top and then anodized green on the bottom. I am no knife maker, but as far as I know, they tape the parts they dont want colored before anodizing the other. You should see some anodizing work makers and knife mod guys do to full handles, all different colors and patterns, etc.
Handled some of his work at G6, and while I was checking out which I wanted to buy a dealer bought out his whole table which was annoying, but thats how it goes. Jim nailed it though these are fantastic indeed for the price.
I love that green it's amazing. I would like to see one with. A satin blade, electric blue carbon fiber. Same bolsters and electric blue titanium instead of the green
Do people really care that much if the titanium handles are waterjet cut? Like Im gonna be getting mine waterjet cut coming soon but everything is grossly oversized. The reason why I want to waterjet is because its just to difficult to cut out lockbars on a drill press. I would still consider it a custom knife it just takes 3-4 hours off the build time having to precisely locate holes and cut everything out and shape it.
All the knives you review are absolutely phenomenal works of art, but is the market for $500 to $1500 custom knives really that big? As much as I would love to and I'm sure many others would love to be able to just toss out $700 or more multiple times at a knife show for best in show, but I know there can't be that many who can or do, do that. The price is just outrageous for the normal purchaser. I want to see knife review that the casual user would buy
I don't really buy production knives anymore, my tastes have moved up to customs, and that's what my channel is geared towards. Some of my older videos have some production pieces in them. There are probably 20 great YT channels dedicated to lower cost knives, but mine isn't ever going back in that direction. I do videos on my personal knives, so my personal taste will be reflected in the subject.
Oh, don't take my comment wrong please, your knives and your reviews are beautiful works of art, but way way out of my price range. I apologize because my wording on my first comment was poorly chosen. I was basically asking for direction to some high caliber less expensive knives. I'll give you an example. I currently carry a Shrade Extreme Survival knife that is fully automatic. I also have a large number of Case, Buck and a couple Old Henry knifes. I've been eyeing some of the Kershaw blades I've been seeing on Massdrop.
Amazingly Beautiful, and ultimately great color scheme, and proper contouring, .... I WANT 1, BUT AT $500.00 base, but Custom Knives, Custom Pricing...
+balfemotor i know right.. i think if i keep watching his videos im gonna (kinda) waste a ton of money.Because im pretty bad at resisting beautiful things:D
I guess we should get rid of our custom knives as well, because we are not 12? Because that is how I take your comparison. 12 years do not wear $500 rings just an FYI. Obviously you do not like skulls or skull rings, etc. Jim does, so do I and just like many people do not get custom knives, expensive watches, etc, but their is a huge market for those rings, and countless custom jewelry makers who specialize in the skulls. It is what it is. Just because you do not like it, doesn't mean you have to insult him do you?
Why did you willingly watch a video of something that you can't afford and then get mad at someone sharing it? If you want to watch an affordable knife review, simply search that and watch it...? People need to grow up and realize that there will be people in ANY hobby that are into the very refined aspects of it...and others, not...
i cry because you have the coolest knives, especially the green ones

Eric is a great guy. Look forward to seeing more of his work at G6 and in the years to come. Thanks for showing his work Jim.
The way the bolster and marble CF is joined together is called a "miter" joint. Same as it would be in construction or woodworking.
Absolutely gorgeous knife. Excellent taste as well in choosing the color and marbled carbon fiber
What an excellent value for a custom... thanks for bringing another interesting maker into the spotlight
love the knife looks great the green sets it off just rite very cool.

Jesus christ, I love the sound that thing makes when it comes open.
...nice simplistic design. No shiny and unnecessary (cosmetic only) parts...:)
What is that little up arrow logo on the clip side of the blade? I don't recognize it lol.
Hehe im happy i got on his books when you put the first pic of this up on instagram

Marcus Wong

I would change the blade shape up a bit, but that knife is still the sickest looking knife I have ever seen. Damn I wish I was a baller like that!
If you go to the Librefighting chan on YT you'll see why they made it that way. ver 1 was a wharnie\sheeps foot ..this blade is ver 2 tanto
What watch are you wearing?
How do you get ahold of this knife maker to get one. He never takes orders!!
GeeezuZ this thing I'd sick!!! I need one

Some do and some don't. I just try to get as much info out there as possible, since the maker gave me the info to share.
+Jim Skelton may I ask why you pay thousands of dollars for knives?

Does this dude do any reviews on knives the majority can afford? Seems like a snob.
