how does she do this, get an education, have a social life, a youtube channel, travel or do anything at all?? major respect for this girl it would be so hard
Micheala W I think she means “I don’t know how she does it! I don’t do anything much anymore because i’m homeschooled now. I’m not very anything anymore haha”
It's pretty amazing how multiple parts of the body that aren't working proprely can be replaced by tubes, catheters, meds... Modern medicine is kinda extraordinary...
as a nurse I agree but I would like to point out that these things can't replace anything. for example, you do dialysis when your liver doesn't function properly but you don't function as you would with a working liver - you feel tired, and just not 100%. i wish in the future that there will be solutions that are so good that the patient almost feels completely healthy.
I find myself rewatching videos in light of Amy's passing. This was the video that introduced me to her, and made me subscribe. Not only was it great educationally, I subscribed to her vlogging channel too, because she just had a beautiful, vibrant personality I wanted to see more of. The entire pandemic I've periodically thought and worried about her, particularly the fear and isolation of the pandemic. I noticed when she started posting sporadically late last year, then stopped entirely. I had hoped that it was just her taking time off in order to heal and recover from her hip surgery and other stuff, but unfortunately that was not the case. Rest in Peace Amy, I hope that wherever you are, you know how much you helped and affected people, and that you can eat as many churros as you want
Same. I actually just found her channel. I'm not sure why this video was in my recommended, I don't personally have any health issues but the light Amy had was just unreal. She dealt with so much but still had that beautiful smile on her face in every video and was so determined to spread awareness and help others. Just by watching her videos she has affected me greatly. It really puts in perspective for me that I really really need to be grateful for my health and I need to live up every single day and appreciate those days. Not that I don't but its easy to kinda get lost and forget what truly matters and she has shown me through her videos what truly matters in life. R.I.P to her beautiful soul that has touched my heart in so many ways. She is someone I will never ever forget that's for sure.
Don’t get me wrong, she certainly has it rough. But, I’m seeing people in the comments belittle others, in a way, who don’t “have it as bad as her”. She may have more problems with her life, but that doesn’t excuse people from not acknowledging those who still suffer, even if it is deemed as “not that bad”. Everyone has their problems, so please don’t overlook that: if you do.
Thank you for saying this! For example; I have hydrocephalus, but that doesn't have anything to do with me of being an actual person that had brain issues. I'm one of the smartest people in my class, and the sweetest! So never doubt yourself guys~ ❤❤

Hello. I was watching your video for the first time and I noticed at time stamp 11:51 you were drawing up your injection from a glass ampule using the same needle you injected yourself with. Glass ampules can have microscopic shards of glass that you can suck up into your syringe and inadvertently inject yourself with. You should ask your doctor about filter needles to prevent this from occurring. Other than that, you are doing an amazing job caring for yourself.
Obviously, do whatever is best for you and well done to you! I am a nurse and we always use a filter needle to draw up drugs from any glass ampule :) might be different in a hospital setting tho x
Honestly, maybe it is the case but we did the same in the hospital where I did my 3-weeks internship so... I guess maybe it is not that dangerous ? Howewer I did once cut myself opening a glass ampule and I had to throw everything away (including the drug).
I was thinking the same thing about asking for filter needles. Another thing you can do to prevent from getting cut by the glass ampule when opening it is use a alcohol wipe that’s still in the wrapper to open it. It gives you a layer of protection between the glass and your skin and I’ve never cut myself using this method. The one time I opened one without using a barrier, of course, I cut myself.
I just found you channel! I am a 12 year Registered Nurse in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit. I do want to make a couple of suggestions...You might want to invest in filter needles when you are drawing up your medications from glass vials. Sometimes you can get micro glass shards in your medication when opening the vial. You would just use a filter needle to draw up your medication and then use your regular needle to inject your medication. Also when you pop the top off of your glass vial, you can use a small piece of gauze to hold the top part of the vial when you break it. That way you won't cut yourself again. I hope that helps in some way!
Good tips :) There are those little rubber caps that you can use to safely break the vials as well. Little suprised they didn't come with the medication.
It's incredible what you needed to do every single day to stay alive. Many things that healthy people take for granted. You did this and still have a smile and positive attidute. You wree amazing. RIP beatiful soul. I hope you don't have to fight anymore
As a nurse I'm just so in awe about you doing this all by yourself.. I have so much respect for you omygod especially that you catheterize yourself every night. It's very normal that chronically ill patients are taught how to do a lot of things; we're not all put in care facilities or anything haha. They want us to stay living at home independently! I have intestinal problems since I was a baby and being able you watch your videos and relate so much makes me feel like I’m not alone and wasn’t alone during the time I was on the at home meds. I’ve had plenty of pic lines and broviacs in my life. I’ve been off of tpn and lipids now for about 6 years and during that time I was taking caring of my meds by myself with my parents help of course. It has taught me so much at a young age medical wise. I still get sick very easily and have to have a pretty strict diet to help me gain weight. I’ve just discovered your channel and defiantly be watching more. ❤️

I'm so glad I found this video so interesting, I'm currently studying as a medical student here in the UK, and its quite eye-opening to see this from a patient viewpoint dealing with this type of illness as I only really see this is an acute health care situation and it can be easy to forget that you still have to go home and carry on with your life especially as a medical student where you can get carried away with being interested in the science and studying about a disease., so thank you for reminding me to never forgot the personal element. I'm just blown away too by how well you deal with this and I wish you all the best in life.
Having had many ear aches because of my eardrum rupturing and deteriorating, I felt your pain at 15:18 when you put the ear drops in. That stuff hurts. I remember having many surgeries for my eardrum and when you get earaches on top of that, it’s even more painful.

like stuff about illnesses or the needle thing if its about thing like llnesses its probably an empathetic thing like you are trying to imagine how she feels but your body doesnt know how to replicate it so it gets this weird feeling instead (thats at least my first guess) kinda like how if somebody yawns then most people tend to yawn too or like when someone talks about hurting something some people put up their arm to wherever that place is if its the needle probs a phobia btw dont base anything on this comment got no idea just my educational guess here

Hi Amy- new subscriber here. I have a question for you that you may have answered already on one of your channels (sorry if you did!). How do you deal with feeling lazy or too tired when you go through your daily routines? It seems like they’d be too important to skip over, but routine can get very tiring sometimes. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us, all the best to you ❤️
Not trying to answer for her of course, but I'm sure the bottom line is that if she doesn't she could get very sick, get an infection, or at the very worst die, so I'm sure she does get tired of it but its kinda like if she doesn't do it then she's risking her life, also I think she's mentioned before that her boyfriend is a big help to her, and you can tell she sets all types of alarms to help, hope that kinda helped you in some way understand lol again I'm not speaking for her just some stuff I've seen in her videos 😊
Yeah! As someone with a couple chronic illnesses I take tons of meds a night and I call tell you sometimes I get so tired. However I know if I don’t do them I will feel absolutely awful tomorrow or the next day.
I can relate to the ear infection feeling... I feel like I should say you are strong, you probably hear that a lot though. I had tubes in my ears at eight months old, and I have had uncountable amounts of ear infections since, and I have a retracted eardrum due to Eustachian tube dysfunction. It’s nowhere near as bad as anything you have, but the drops going in your ears *is* the worst
I recently had a surgery for my ovary and i was opened around the intestine area... so seeing how u take u meds made me want to cry... i cant imagine u doing this so often. U r so brave. Having my intestines flushed out clean was the worst thing ever
You are one of the strongest people I ever know. I am not familiar with your illness But you make me respect you so much by just watching you. Stay strong
It must take soo much effort to have to constantly do that every day. I can't even begin to imagine doing half of what you have to do just to stay alive.
Having to deal with all of that, AND suffer from OCD? Girl I mean it, you are a literal superhero. I suffer from OCD as well and I know how debilitating it is, but the fact that you can still manage that while having a chronic illness is truly inspiring and strong. Wishing you all the best
You are amazing and so brave. This is day after day. No taking a day off. How many of us could do this? Thank you Amy for this incredible video. Much respect ❤️
Jesus Christ is willing and able to heal you and set you free. Knock and He will answer. It’s a personal choice. A decision only you can make. God bless you 💛✝️🙏🏼

another type 1 diabetic over here! whenever i feel like i’m bitter about it, i just remember how much more other people deal with and am glad we can usually live healthily and happily.
I have type 1 too
Mybe because blood sugar literally affect ur mood??
Just asking , it's normal that I am not scared of needles?
I’m not either it’s perfectly fine lol
I mean I get a lot of needles so I’m not that scared when i get them but before getting them I get a bit nervous sometimes
thehappy zebra ;3 I’m not
I'm not scared of needles cause before I used to get sick all the time so I had to get a lot of shots
Me neither tbh I don’t even make a face when I get a shot. It doesn’t hurt for me
Yes!! Video on bullet journaling. Dont know much about it but looks interesting.
I agree
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how beautifully organised her note book is ? ❤
What a cool way to use your bullet journal! I've always relied on apps to track my health stuff but I love how you make the recording of some inevitably less fun times so cute.
She’s so beautiful and young I can’t believe she’s gone 🥺
Huh?
@@lauraleighpennington5342 Amy passed away on April 1st this year.
@@santtunen8722 this is sad sad to hear
Just a tip, when cracking open the ampule, hold it with a 2x2 of gauze and crack it away from you.
I always hated taking my 10-15 pills a day but this kind of opened my eyes to actually thinking that having so many pills and tablets are better than having tubes and such. Good luck and stay strong, beautiful. ❤❤
It’s upsetting that she has passed....she was so great!! 😞🥺✨❤️
idk why YT recommended this to me, but thank you for sharing.
On bad pain days i'm very attached to my heating pad, I got one that can cover my stomach and lower back. I find the heat very soothing and sometimes can still fall asleep in pain with the heat going.
angellina fosse
I would suggest avoiding sleeping with a heat pad, just from the risk of burns, but it’s great that you found something comfortable :)
xXThat_Weird_EnbyXx I used to sleep with a heating blanket wrapped around my legs or arms because of the pain, I’d always have it on high and it never burnt me. But maybe it depends on the brand
So i m sitting here
Wondering why the sweet God i am always sad bc of my heart problems (nothing this bad) and i m watching how strong you are. I hope everything will ne fine.. you will see.. never lose your faith.. even tho sometimes your wish is to have another life.. a normal normal one.. we all have a reason to leave and to be happy... Don t worry and i hope God will bless you with some good news... about your health
My mom just started going onto a tpn. This video has really helped me understand it more, My mom has been sick with gastroparesis my whole life so I get what your going through. Never give up
We miss you so much Amy. In the face of it all you loved with courage and bravery. I looked up to you as someone with a chronic illness. I still do. You showed me there can be good. I know you’re no longer sick and hurting. I wish you could still be here without these illnesses. Rest in peace Amy
You truly are an amazing person! I can't imagine how hard your everyday must be, but you seem so happy and positive! You are an inspiration!
I watch your video and cry .... I wish you a lot of strength .... you have my absolute admiration
yessss girl, get that sponsorship 💖 proud of you!
Just ordered the shampoo + conditioner :) I'm always looking for the right shampoo for my needy hair, and I have always wanted to try one of those customizable products, but I never found one whose price wasn't crazy until I saw this video! It arrives in 2 weeks, we'll see how it goes :) mine is purple with a peach scent, and it's for curly coarse hair!
When she pricked her finger I was like”aw hell nah, I can’t do that”
Once, while I was pregnant, I had to check mine 4x a day for two weeks. It's really not TOO bad, but it's not fun obviously. You get used to it.
Isabelle Luehring it’s normal for people with problems like hers, diabetics have to do this everyday/meal to check their blood sugar
My dad has diabetes and i watch him prick his finger ALOT and its not too hard to watch for me Hahaha its weird seeing these comments ( No hate towards you)
I was in class with a diabetic stundent for seven years. At the end other kids wanted to get poked and test their blood sugar level
I have type 1 diabetes and I have done 5 or 6 pokes a day every day for 6 years 😁 it's not fun but it becomes your new normal and you do what you have to do to stay alive.
Going to miss your videos. Thank you for being so open about your journey. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The only chronic illness I have is Type 1 Diabetes and even that is difficult so major props to you for this amazing routine you seem to have down so well, such an inspiration for others in the chronic illness world!
When you were talking about low blood sugar and it was 3.8 I saw 38 and my heart dropped. Then you explained.
I saw your CRPS/RSD ribbon, I have CRPS too so I know the struggle. I hope you are having a low pain day :)
YOU ARE SO STRONG THIS VIDEO MADE ME APPRECIATE LIFE AND HEALTH
GOD BLESS YOU!
I just want to let you know that you are amazingly strong! I can barely deal with my chronic pain which doesn't entail all the cleaning and prepping of pumps and other medications. You are so strong for being able to live with this and still be happy. I'm really proud of you!
I have a chronic illness too, lupus and watching this video made me cry. The blood transfusions and dextrose that I been crying to because I felt uncomfortable is nothing compared to what you’re going through right now. God bless you, Amy! You’re such an inspiration to people like us.
You're a very strong person to me , I look up to you and I wish you the best
Ok I love how she just casually says "stomach juices" ok yup. Now I've heard it all.
Omg your handwriting is gorgeous 😍. I wish I had the time, energy and patience to own a bullet journal
You do! The best bit about bullet journalling is that if you only have five minutes to spend on bullet journalling a week, that's all you need to do. Do whatever you wanna do girl lol 💜
the person that helps you, god bless them. and you're beautiful
I’m so glad I found your channel I’ve been going through the same thing since I was 10 with being on tpn and lipids at night. ❤️
Gurl ur really strong and brave. Blessings all the way from Bangladesh
I need to stop complaining about my life when hers is much harder! YOUR SO STORNG KEEP WORKING HARD! YOU ARE SO SMART AND BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!! ❤️❤️❤️KEEP WORKING HARD AND GOING THREW ALL THE PAIN!!
You are so brave keep up the positive attitude because you will get through it ❤️
Lily Crouch what’s her illness?
Sick in the dark and I still think about Amy. She help me so much and still is. God I miss her
I'm so glad I found this video so interesting, I'm currently studying as a medical student here in the UK, and its quite eye-opening to see this from a patient viewpoint dealing with this type of illness as I only really see this is an acute health care situation and it can be easy to forget that you still have to go home and carry on with your life especially as a medical student where you can get carried away with being interested in the science and studying about a disease., so thank you for reminding me to never forgot the personal element. I'm just blown away too by how well you deal with this and I wish you all the best in life.
Having had many ear aches because of my eardrum rupturing and deteriorating, I felt your pain at 15:18 when you put the ear drops in. That stuff hurts. I remember having many surgeries for my eardrum and when you get earaches on top of
that, it’s even more painful.
Jade Guillory I have hearing loss and aches all the time and I have drops to help. THAT SHIZ HURTS. My mom always say I’m being dramatic but it really does hurt!
Yes do a bullet journal video.... everyone can get supplies and start one etc.
do you have any advice for people who aren't very artsy on how to do bullet journals? Because calligraphy and drawing have never been acquired skills of mine but I've always wanted to keep a bullet Journal
@@brynnejewell1275 Look on Amazon... I bought stencils and stickers. The markers etc and journal I picked up from dollar store.
Bless your sweet soul and your boyfriend/husband what amazing humans you both are!
Thank you for sharing your story. This is amazing. Your bullet journal is beautiful I'd love to see a video on that. I have chronic illnesses as well but my routine is my no means as complicated. Videos like yours increase awareness and compassion, so thank you, you truly inspire me!
Im sad 😭😭 you’re still smile happily even when you had to go through all that routines everyday. So proud of you 😭😭
Rest In Peace baby girl ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
oh girl, when i see this kind of videos i feel so weak, srly, my body starts to feeling strange.
Señor Gato sameeee
!!! my knees feel weak!!!!!! WHAT IS THE SCIENCE!
well i get the same feeling when i see, or think about needles so i assume it's a symtom of having a phobia ?
like stuff about illnesses or the needle thing
if its about thing like llnesses its probably an empathetic thing like you are trying to imagine how she feels but your body doesnt know how to replicate it so it gets this weird feeling instead (thats at least my first guess) kinda like how if somebody yawns then most people tend to yawn too or like when someone talks about hurting something some people put up their arm to wherever that place is
if its the needle probs a phobia
btw dont base anything on this comment got no idea just my educational guess here
Señor Gato me too idk why
Rest in peace angel
Amy, I still come by to check u out, your light, your life, it shines so bright
U left an impression on me, just by being u
Thank u luv, for all your love
im literally on tears. i complain all the time about my diabetes while there's people like you so strong and responsible dealing with harder things. best wishes for you ❣️
Hi Amy- new subscriber here.
YOUR👏🏻MAKEUP👏🏻LOOKS👏🏻SO👏🏻GOOD!
Perfect lippie shade!
I am not familiar with your illness
But you make me respect you so much by just watching you.
Stay strong
It's so weird just how differently we speak. So many words and phrases you say are new to me when used in every day speech. I'm American btw
It must take soo much effort to have to constantly do that every day. I can't even begin to imagine doing half of what you have to do just to stay alive.
oh god man..... Good luck for you..... YOU ARE A HERO DOING THAT
I’ve been crying throughout the video, I have major respect for you!
My niece is gonna have a similar routine as she grows older. She's a baby right now and I recognize the equipment on your torso. This was nice to see!
Rest In Peace beautiful babe!
Wait WHAT
I would just die before doing this everyday I don’t know how you do this but it’s crazy you got my respect
Same😂
HOW just how do you manage to keep track of everything
Having to deal with all of that, AND suffer from OCD? Girl I mean it, you are a literal superhero. I suffer from OCD as well and I know how debilitating it is, but the fact that you can still manage that while having a chronic illness is truly inspiring and strong. Wishing you all the best
I have so much respect for you to have the enthusiasm you have is inspiring
I miss you so muchhhhh amy! No more pain now😢😢😢
R.I.P to this beautiful angel
Make sure you view all ADs! Since her passing, any income from these videos and sponsorships and AD revenue will really help Tom and her family out!

You are amazing and so brave. This is day after day. No taking a day off. How many of us could do this? Thank you Amy for this incredible video. Much respect ❤️
im so sorry that you have to go through all of this but keep fighting? you will make it through!
Rest in peace at least I hope that you're not suffering anymore rest in peace amy 🕊️🕊️
I can feel you.
I've been sick my whole life, I'm at the hospital almost everyday.
Mei Zhong what do you have?
Jesus Christ is willing and able to heal you and set you free. Knock and He will answer.
It’s a personal choice. A decision only you can make.
God bless you 💛✝️🙏🏼
@@Qwertqwerty010 What an insensitive thing to say, but it's not surprising, the TH-cam comment Jehovah's witnesses are usually pathetic
I have a question, why does the medication hurt? I’m new to your videos and when I saw that i was confused. You’re amazing and inspiring btw ❤️❤️
I love how he helps care for her
Amy, you're already so much stronger than me, you're are an amazing person and you just gave me the motivation to make more of my life. Thank you, let's live this life:3
Omg, I'm so glad you have a code to get 20% off the shampoo and conditioner! I've been wanting to try it but never did bc of the price. Now I can! Yay! 😁
Can we have how to start a bullet journal video?
Total respect from me. Your daily routine is so involved. Well done Tom too, good lad, he obviously loves you a lot.
I just can't ever imagine the pain of living with fibro. My mom has fibro so i just know how hard small everyday life things can be. I really am so happy that you are bringing these illnesses to light so that more people can be aware of them! Best of luck to you!
You are the toughest person i’ve ever heard/seen about in my whole life.
