This is too beautiful for words. David wise needs to hear this. That's the beauty of his music, it's so easy to play around with and still make something magical as long as you know what you're doing and respect the source material. It's a thing of wonder what he was able to do with such limited hardware, imagine what he could do today. This should have at least made its way into smash ultimate for switch, I'm pissed that it didn't. Maybe one day.

I'm not surprised, there's some truly lovely music to be heard there. Some of my favorites i've heard so far (just reached W3, just got the thing for christmas) are busted bayou, and the funky makeover they gave simian segue. Took me a minute to recognize it, but once I did, nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks! I'll definitely keep an eye out for wises' name in the credits whenever I manage to beat it (I'm not great at platformers).

We need a DKC2 remake on the switch: Bonus request: the game includes thousands on remixed songs on the soundtrack 100’s of hours or remix music. Every level would randomize select a remix version of that level’s music. Every time.

Hate to burst your bubble, but you know that will never happen right? We'll be lucky just to get one of the first 3 DKC titles in the SNES library on switch online. Remake? Very doubtful. Fan music? Don't hold your breath. Hell, cadence of hyrule was the first time Nintendo's trusted a 3rd party developer with one of their IPs since the atrocity that was the zelda games for the Philips CDI. Unless you count Mario+rabbids, but then, that was from ubisoft, an established developer. Our best hope is nintendo agreeing to let retro studios handle it, and considering how long metroid prime 4's been delayed, who knows when they'll have time for a project like this. I imagine this is also hinging on Microsoft agreeing to this as well, considering they bought rareware in, what, 2003? To my understanding, rareware no longer exists (don't take my word for it though). If it ever happens, and I really hope it does, I can't imagine anyone doing it better than retro studios. Wishful thinking, nothing wrong with that, just don't get your hopes too high. In the meantime, let's just be grateful for what we do have. Such as the fact that, if you happen to own a wii U, you have the means to play every DKC title on one console! Download the first 3 through virtual console, play DKC returns via backwards compatibility, and obviously tropical freeze was first made for the wii u. And yet, this is all coming from someone who doesn't have a wii u, but really wants one, partially for that very reason.

I went through about 20+ remixes of this song and they all weren't really feeling "right" to me. This one was perfect because it captured the serene feeling that the original track had AND added some chilling effects that made it better and more amazing. I could listen to this version forever, just like I could with the original. Great job man much love

I was playing Smash Bros on Switch. I heard this theme when fighting vs Pikachu + Zinger (as spirit) so.... I made my investigation to find the song. I googled for Zinger as the song of the level is usually the song of a game where the spirit appears. I didn't know it was Donkey Kong, so I googled again all the OSTs of DK used for Smash Bros Ultimate and I finally found it! It was so good that I had to hear some remixes and... yours is the best. I kept stalking your channel looking for more remixes and... wow, you got talent. I loved them and I can appreciate how VERY WELL DONE are them even when I didn't listened the original songs before. Absolutely not what i expected but to be honest i didn't even know what i would have to expect and i'm totally overwhelmed by the feelings it gives me. The original is one of the most perfect musical tracks out there (for me) and this remake is sooo different but it's still amazingly close to the original. I actually heard that before they went with the whole pirate theme of Donkey Kong Country 2 the water stages were going to be more traditional and the song that became Stickerbrush Symphony was going to be used for the water stages but they decided the old music for the water levels was so good they kept it in and used it for the bramble stages while the water levels which are set in flooded holds of ships used Lockjaw's Saga.
