- Here is my labour and delivery story of little baby Jackson Leo. I got my natural home birth in the end and he came in just 3 hours with one midwife!
We are all so glad that he is here. Finally! In the end he was 11 days late and came the day before I was due to be induced at the hospital (which would have meant that I would not have been allowed my home birth).

Q: Where is your accent from?
A: I was born and raised to Toronto, Ontario, Canada but moved to Essex in England when I was 14 years old. Hence my mixed up accent.
Q: Do you work? What do you work as?
A: I work in Marketing and PR but I am currently on maternity leave. I am focusing on my vlog while I am on maternity leave and I love it!
Q: Who’s in your family?
A: I have been married to Matt for 7 years, he is the love of my life! We have three sons - Fraser is 5, Caleb is 2 and baby Jackson who is currently 3 days old!
Q: What camera do you use to film?
A: I film my videos with the Canon G7X and Olympus Pen EPL7.
Q: What lighting do you use?
A: I use natural lighting 90% of the time and a softbox light during the winter / dark evenings.

Hi Guys, I think I didn't really mention it - but the reason I had to go to hospital was because Jackson had his first meconium poo inside my womb before he was born. So we had to go and be monitored for the night. It was a shame to have to go after such an amazing home birth but at least I got to have him at home :-) xx
Meconium is very dangerous when it is inhaled by the baby,they pass mec when they are in distress.

Kairi did the same to me and all they did at the hospital at Tripler Army Medical Center. They took everything out cause of the C-section. They are worth the pain. They are our world, the reason we become our better selves, they are perfect in every way!

I have never seen women in labour pain looking so happy. LOL I was SCREAMING on top of my lungs because they were ***PAIN***!!!!, WAVES after WAVES after WAVES unrelenting PAIN that just got WORSE AND WORSE AND WORSE AND WORSE!!

Congratulations Emily, you have just brought another hormonal new mum to tears (happy tears!). Just watching the boys meeting their new brother reminded me of the moment we introduced our son to his sister. Memories to treasure forever xx
And all of sudden i am no longer terrified, you made this entire experience smooth and positive. I am also planning for a natural birth and since it's my 1st i would like to deliver at the hospital. This feels good really !!

congratulations and well done, im in floods of tears hes gorgeous. its really made my day watching this video im 35 weeks and im struggling with pgp and sciatica and the days can be long but its just put everything into perspective that ill have my baby very soon and the pain will all go. thank you emily for sharing x

I think this might have fully convinced me to go for a home birth. Such a beautiful story and the fact the boys got see their little brother so soon after birth is amazing!!!
I hope you and your baby are safe and well! A home birth is a great idea, you can set everything up exactly as you need it, you have space to listen to your body and get yourself comfortable, and as long as you have safety procedures in place, it makes complete sense.
I love so many things about this video... but one thing that really stood out was how enthusiastic and lovely all the healthcare professionals seemed to be. Let's not forget they do this day in day out and anything will lose it's shine after a while but each person we saw interacting with you and Jackson was so happy, kind, enthusiastic and excited. So awesome to see!

Birth is the most magical thing!! I was with my sister's two kids when she gave birth to the third at home, just like you did. It was incredible to see a 20 minutes old baby. Such a wonderful time.

I had my first in hospital... would of been so stressed if I hadn't... ended up needing a csection though

I am a mum of 3: two girls and a boy and I just cried all through. Just like you I had fast deliveries and also had my favourite dress on to bring me luck. This video is amazing as it made me realise how blessed we are to be women, all we go through to give birth and the strength we pull through! You are a superwoman!

I watched your video almost 3 years ago when I was waiting for my daughter to be born and it was so good to see you giving birth. I am really proud of mums who give home birth. It's very courageous. For me, i personally like to throw all the responsibilities to hospital and its staff, haha i just want to relax privately on bed without worrying of crowd. (i have 12 people in house + relatives live nearby)

This video was SO lovely to watch! I am currently 1 week overdue with my baby feeling like he is never coming out so watching Jackson be born actually relieved some of my tension and distress - I instantly burst into tears of joy. I Just give birth 3 days a go .. after trying the real pain of labor i had my epidural at 6 cm I couldn't control my breathe the pain was too much for me 💔 i though it would be easy but I couldn't stand it 😢 .. you are such a hero to do this by your own without any pain relief.. wish the best for you and good luck ❤️❤️
everyones different i didn't have pain relief with any of mine but if i needed to i would have x
Sam Sam i want to ask about epidural.. i am also pregnant and planing to give birth through epidural.. but i listen that epidural is not safe there are many myths like epidural wil cause permanent back pain etc.. plz guide me that its safe or not
wajee sheikh if you can avoid it, you should. Epidurals affect you later in life, the back pain and everything. You can research a lot about it on Facebook

I took the epidural on my fist delivery in 3months ill be having my 2nd baby and I won’t take it if I don’t need it. With my fist baby i was mind of pressured by the nurse to take it, and yes you get this back pain and they say it will never go away 😩 hurts really bad.
Sitting here at 41+2 and I really needed this. We are also planning a home birth so it was nice to see that happy endings can exist, even at this many weeks pregnant! The mental and emotional rewiring at the thought of induction vs. natural scares me so much and I have been having such a hard time these past few days. I'm feeling much more hopeful after seeing this - thank you so much xx

Hello Emily, i just have to tell you that you’re my role model! Thanks to your videos i decided for hypnobirthing, trained at home and it was an amazing experience. My baby Vincent came all naturaly and he was soo alert, i was in shock! This video was so comforting to me, you look like giving birth is a piece of cake😀, and it gave me courage to think that i can make it as well💪🏻! Thank you very much for your content! Oh Emily! You're amazing. My first labor was over 48 hours of no interventions or pain killers, but unfortunately ended in a C section. I have been watching this video over and over and trying to soak up your calm and bad-ass woman power for the next one. I'd love to have a labor that resembles yours next time.
