This is really cool.... very fascinating, ive always wondered how diesel injection pumps work and the more i learn about them, the more fascinated by them i am lol....
The effort that's gone into phasing of the om606 pump is incredible. No wonder folks charge so much to rebuild a pump. As you said its very labour intensive. Is the phasing done before the calibration or the other way around ? Which comes first?
Use a Bluetooth mic or process the video before uploading, now all the noise have higher energy than your voice. Process the video with some denoise application. Otherwise great channel****
I have an idea for a topic. Talk about the duration of injection, shiming injector spring can we increase or decrease the injection pressure / time and injection duration?
How exactly do you find zero on the pump to fit it to bench? Is it full duration on no1 cylinder cam? And did someone let rip at the start of the conclusion lmao?
Thank you for this informative video, well done ! Looking forward to the calibration video.
Ross
love your stuff

Nicely explained Sir! Glued to the screen.
Could we get some content on injection timing and it's effects (preferably with dyno results)?
I love these videos. Learning much.
Beer And Horsepower I love how he never replies
Probably would if you had a genuine question
Rich Wilcox As in ?
Very interesting episode!!!
very good, this is the kind of information we like
This stuff is awesome.
Thank you so much for this videos keep going all love from Syria
abdalla sakor has the fighting stopped?
Thank you for the valuable information, my friend. Can you please give us a video on how to disassemble the diesel pump?

Sir, are there any plans for products that fit the newer common rail engines???
Nice to see your work.
What does twisting the element barrels do? I thought it was for changing the phasing, but now im not so sure about that
you turn the element barrels only when you are calibrating the pump not when you are phasing the pump.
It's like a distributor, that sprays fuel, instead of electrons!
How r they able to be out of sync? Thought the cams were ground precisely....
Conrad Sinsua pretty much the same reason as a valve train, we are only talking of 0.1mm adjustments generally.

How do you know what orientation to re-install the barrels when removed to shim?
You can’t get it wrong there is a locating pin.
Very interesting video. What thickness are the shims? Are they different or do you stack them for bigger errors?
Hello Luke, couple weeks ago i bought 7,7mm plounjers from you and i didnot know about shims untill now,so can i buy those ones separately?thanks!
What about the OM 642 ? Would that also a good powerhouse ?
Leaks from taps?
How much would it cost to fit one in a Clio 2 ? It's currently got the 65 hp dci
when will u ever start messing with cdi setups ? and why have you never did it till now ? :D
Hello Luke how can I get those shims?

The degree wheel on the bench moves independently of the black part he’s using the tool on to find TDC.
Good to skills. Could build me a super pump for my td42
