Hi, do you know of any brand of gel pen sets that has like... every single colour possible, but with NO metallic, glitter or even pastel - more like say a pencil set that you buy which has for example, many different shades of reds, many different shades of purple and so on... ? I’m looking for a gel pen set that ONLY has pens in standard colours. Kind of like the same sets with... I don’t know - 72 colours with NONE of them being metallic, glitter or pastel - just straight colours, but in every shade. Like those enormous sets of brush pens you can get except they’re gel pens? Hi Melinda! Great question! I don't think I've had anyone ask before. I don't know of any large gel pen collections without the fancy additions. The only sets I know that are "straight colors" are the small sets. Do you have a local art supply place in Australia that might supply calligraphy or color supplies to get some ideas of closer to you places to order from? The places I'd suggest for ordering or for inquiry are local to the US.

What gel pens you used? I want to buy gel pens nut all of them say waterproof and permanent. Will they blend like you showed?
Hmmm....let me look at mine...gosh, I have used such a variety of pens that I'm not sure, but one of my containers says they are water-resistant, but I've used them just fine. You might want to see the video I did on 12 steps for Blending Pencils and skip to the last two techniques (which are gel pens). Or use a tiny bit of glycerin as a mixing agent. I did a video for Posh (Publishing) and it is listed in my playlists on blending gel pens and shows glycerin. Hope you experimented in the mean time! Happy Coloring!
Any gel I use, even permanent ink pitt pens, won't flow on top of Prismacolor layers. Help?
hmmmm.....I've never had a problem using gel on Prismacolor. Troubleshoot three things. 1. Make sure there is nice layer of color pencil on the bottom before using the gel on top. the gel will slide over the wax, but if it's a very light layer of pencil and mostly white paper, the gel will begin to soak into the paper before you can move it around. 2. make sure the gel pen you are using leave a nice layer of gel down. you might notice some gel pens leave a "dry" layer, you want a juicy gel pen, for lack of a better way of saying it. and 3. make sure that you don't put the gel down and then wait too long because it will dry which will make smearing it on purpose harder to accomplish. Pitt Pens are more like drawing pens, not exactly the type of gel pen demonstrated nor recommended for this purpose. Try some of the pens shown in the video th-cam.com/video/qkOo0RoUB3Q/w-d-xo.html.
