I don't watch much Vox outside of whenever he's in another collab, but I've been aware that he's a theater kid through-and-through. The Vox/Fulgur scene was genuinely powerful and had such a layered message that I'm sure meant so much for Vox to air out given all that's happened this year For an artsy, creative person, this was his outlet to air out all he's ruminated about, from fear, regret, guilt, shame, and most importantly acceptance of the healthy idea to *not* ruminate for too long to the point that it'd strip him from ever trying to do good the next go around, or even just acknowledging the good that *is* within him I think the message of the beach scene is one that's deeply valuable for anybody willing to be open-minded and listen, whether it's people who will never waver in their love for Vox or people who've condemned him for supposed eternity And Fulgur did wonderful to represent the healthier conscience within Vox! And quite honestly the best liver to represent that given Fulgur's natural pension as a supportive figure Amazing scene all around. As someone who admittedly had mixed feelings about Vox, this kind of work is precisely why I was never in the "condemned for eternity" camp. Not to pull the curtain too much, but he is a human being, and all human beings, you, me, us, them, Vox, any liver, should never be eternally damned from being considered human, because of mistakes (perceived or real) especially about a situation we truly know little about The scene was Vox showcasing his humanity, and it was beautifully done

Vox's debut really stepped up the limits of what a 3D Debut can be. This feature film is beautifully edited, shot, colored, and written. It has so much heart. It's intelligently crafted and not afraid to be vulnerable. Very well done to the huge team that worked on this 👏👏👏 Amazing debut.

Otsu doesn't feel like enough for all the effort that went into this! We got a free musical, like what? This production, the editing, the music, the script, everything about this was amazing. Gosh it shook me to my core at times. It was a ride from start to finish and I thank you for your vision, holy shit. You're an amazing actor, writer, editor and producer and everything else that I've forgotten because of the movie what the fuck I've lost all concentration cause it shook me so much in the best way. The lines, transitions, typeface, music, symbolism, and nods to other films (I see u Sherlock) are fascinating. The small arthouse-film-enjoyer part of me is tingling, I have to stop myself before I start overanalysing.Thank you for an eye-opening film experience milord!

That was so good! As someone who is studying storytelling, camera work, animations, and all that, that was one of the most well written piece I have seen this whole year. It was so beautiful! And the music! The soundtrack went hard! And your singing, it was so beautiful and smooth! The labyrinth part was my favorite, it was so good, the story was so moving and tense and full of emotions. And the beach scene, it really moved my heart. Box appearing was incredible. The ending was just, incredible, that all I can say, it was truly incredible and well written and I am just so proud of you and how it turned out. I know it's been a while since I showed up but Voxxy, milord, midad, father dearest... I am so SO proud of you. Look at how much you've been able to accomplish. And yes, Fufu's right. No matter what wrong you've done, the past is in the past. The Vox we know may have done terrible things but he isn't a terrible person. That may have been who you were but that's not who you are now. We've always got your back. And even if it seems I've moved on myself, I'll always come back to see whatever you've been up to and how further you've gone since the last time I flew over Honshu Peak. Keep on keeping on, dad.

I’m rewatching this and I’d say the acting is so underrated. Now in 3D it’s not just the tone of his voice but the body language as well. The way he captures the tone of the scene blends with the voice and the soundtrack is so damn beautiful.
I can't even begin to explain what an experience it was to witness this "debut", honestly I feel like cinematic experience is more appropriate cause it was absolutely incredible. From the script itself, music, pacing, editing to the musical bits, seriously otsu for everybody that made it possible. Also the amount of tears that poured by seeing Fuuchan there, Vox and Mane-san thank you for making it possible and so special. The entire dialogue was beautiful and last but not least Vox, I genuinely hope that one day everyone can witness your talent and be speechless by your creativity. Seriously, thank you for sharing it with us.
28:33 But all they love is how much you love them. 看到这里真的头皮发麻。以前特别多亲亲的时期，感觉就是维持人类状态的时候，想要被爱，害怕失去爱。直播排得很多，有的时候也没法说出自己的想法，下意识地想让所有人开心。但是夜深人静的时候脑海中就会响起这样的声音，认为这份爱只是等价交换，而不是自己真正被爱着。也许想过要挣脱，但是醒来的时候又无法放弃被爱，也不想伤害任何人。我有过一小段时间也很在意为什么没有亲亲，感觉到很恐惧好像不再被爱着了。后面发现，如果只是因为盒不提供爱了，就不再爱这个人了，到底是爱着这个人，还是只是爱着按照你意愿提供爱的发条玩具呢？主播虽然不喜欢做发条玩具，但是很长一段时间他都做得很好，甚至快要习惯了吧。但是挣脱玩具的外壳，不被爱的恐惧，去做自己真正想做的事情。结果是带来了如此美丽的作品，和回头发现，原来还有那么多人爱着真正的自己这件事吧。从我自己的角度来说，我看到了更多真实的他，也对爱和被爱有了不同的看法。他的天赋和才华在过去并没有被完全展现，但是现在，这一次的作品又更加让人惊艳。虽然像以前一样可能短时间会比较幸福，但是现在这样的成就，是绝对无法取得的。这部作品对盒k来说，都牺牲了很多，但是正是因为来之不易，才觉得更加……比任何的电影都美丽。像看到了自己和他的影子。很抱歉过去有一段时间觉得有点伤心，也没有完全理解转型这件事。但是像影片的结尾，盒k终于挣脱了过去的恶梦，会继续走向新的篇章吧。
I keep coming back to this film and finding new meanings and interpretations with every re-watch... would love to see more fans share their analytical breakdowns on social media bc there is SO much to discuss in every scene beyond appreciation of the aesthetics + sound design (which are equally incredible, btw). My personal understanding of the pre-Act I opening (i.e. "He Who Awaits Eternity") is that it's our introduction to Vox as he's seen through everyone else's eyes. Through the lens of his lore, it's his fearsome reputation across the lands as a cruel and merciless soul-eating demon; and through the lens of him as a Vtuber, it's how people (haters, fans, and complete strangers alike) speak of him behind his back, how those who refuse to see beyond surface-level choose to cast judgment on him. We don't think of someone who exists in legends, who has achieved nearly celebrity status, as human-- as a man just like the rest of us. (And in later acts we come to see how Vox ALSO internally struggles with thinking of himself in this same way, especially in contrast to the more forgiving people around him.) At first I only interpreted the C.S. Lewis quote in the beginning as alluding to Vox's fears when it comes to being in a position of power (both in lore and as an internet persona), but now I'm also seeing how it works in reverse-- the power that his followers/fans hold over him, and the ways they can easily abuse that power and overstep boundaries while deluding themselves into thinking it's for Vox's own "good." I'll end my think piece here, even though there's so much more beyond just the first 7 minutes. (One of my favorite scenes was the classroom interrogation and its scathing depiction of the reality of parasocial relations.) I myself have only been approaching this film through 2 lenses, but would love to know how other people have been interpreting things!
Bravo! that was a masterpiece. All the original songs were moving and the singing itself was spot on. The bro-hug with Fulgur had me almost crying. I was yelling at my screen when that twist character showed up near the end. The animation was superb. When this man cooks, he brings a feast.
3 PERSONAL FAV PARTS(I’m an English learner so I’m not sure of the correctness of any terms.) 1. Box Tenshi 48:49 From Vox hugging himself, he nodded to greet the coffins in the church. Suddenly, the silhouette appeared; I like the sound effects here. At first, Vox was upset into another dream. But I didn’t expect him to ask for help from a stranger about his future, and we can see his fingers were so nervous lol. The way he wanted someone to guide his future and said “please” was so pathetic and I like it; oh, my vulnerable son. And I like the landscape shots here: the white spots were like spirits haunting around in the church. After getting no answers from the Father, Vox changed his voice into a casual one, which made me laugh. And the contrast of the way Vox walked between the 3D preview and the film got me lol. In the spoiler, Vox was so slay with the bgm while in the film, he’s just an approachable guy who got lost. I think maybe it’s because the preview didn’t reveal the eyes, he looked domineering. Then Father stood up and walked into the centre of the sight. I really like the footstep sound and the sound effects here. And the contrast between Vox’s voice and Box’s voice here is so nice! Box’s voice was so elegant, beautiful and kind, but we all know he’s crazy! What an excellent actor! As predicted, when Box’s best friends, the tentacles, bound Vox, oh his voice became insane with anger, but his remarks were so beautiful. 53:36 “All that time, you’ve never told them about me.” In a sudden, Box seemed to become calm. But look at what he said! He was complaining about Vox! He was powerful but still fear of being missed out by Vox! He depicted his loneliness in this way! And I really love the little pause before the word “me”, which made him more like a whining wife. The music’s volume rose, and the Father came out of the dark in the middle shot, followed by a feature shot of Vox’s eyes with a little blue tint. I love the implication here. 53:47 I thought it was “Go back to your life, kid” and I was curious why the Google translation gave a name lol. I should’ve trusted it first lol. I thought Box just wanted to show he knew Vox very well lol. But the name “Vic”, is more intimate! This is the exclusive name of Box calling Vox (And Vox prefers just to call Box’s surname Tenshi)! I wonder how many secrets they have! So fcking sweet! 54:05 I love how the camera moved in this part. Starting from seeing Box from a lower view, Box seemed to be so powerful, superior, and a little angry saying the line “even the little good you do grinds your soul to powder”. But then the camera rose and gave the audience a feature shot of his face. The scene seems to show he’s not that strong because his following words to Vox were so sad. And then he disappeared from Vox’s dream and Vox didn’t know if he was the true one or not. Wasn’t Box Tenshi lonely? He only could show up in his “friend” Vic’s dream when Vox was vulnerable, and he did get angry for being ignored by Vox, but Box was just binding Vox gently. And even though Box bound him, Vox even said he wanted to give Box Tenshi the biggest project. I really wished I was the one to be bound and degraded by Box, because I guess Vox was uncomfortable. But the tension between the demon and the angel made me hesitate. They really love each other.
2. Desolated classroom and the court 36:23 The shot language of this part is my favourite, but because I love Box more so I put this part in the second place. I really don’t know what Vox was thinking while editing. He’s a genius. If I have a chance to summarize the characteristics of the part, I will use the word “contrast”. Starting from the cow noise, the scream of Vox and the calm white noise of the insects’ chirp are the first contrasts for me. And the background changed from the WHITE New Cydonia to the BLACK dream. Good vfx for me. Then the mid shot (medium ground) of Vox switched into a long shot (distant view) to show the information to the audience: Vox was in a forest. The white font of the act 3 title makes a strong contrast with the black forest. And I like the sfx where the title came out. After Vox sneaked in the forest: the color of Vox’s feature shot is cold, and then the panning camera showed Jiro’s house with warm color. I love the violin (I guess; I don’t know about music or instruments) here and I noticed there was a shot of Vox’s back, which really enriched the shot language. 37:33 Vox fell into another dream First, a feature shot from Vox’s front, which is a continual from last dream’s posture of Vox. Second, I can’t believe Vox changed the angle 180 degrees??? He reversed the frame while editing?! The camera view zoomed out to show there were two desks and chairs next to Vox for more information to the audience!!! I don’t know it’s Vox or the nijien’s photographers who shot this part, or just Vox edited this shot by himself. This composition is amazing. Third, I didn’t expect to see a long shot from the outside through the frost window… It’s purely a shot for the audience, like providing seats for them and saying “The show is beginning and wait and see what Vox would do among the desks and chairs”. And the view is like from a stalker too. Fourth, a feature shot of Vox getting up nervously and becoming a student in the dream. Fifth, a long shot of Teacher Vox going in with the excellent sfx and showing the position between the two Voxs. The frame makes the way Teacher Vox approaches Student Vox a sense of pressure. Sixth, a swirling feature shot between Teacher Vox and Student Vox reveals their unequal position. Seventh, wtf is the angle at 37:53 lol how the camera captured Vox’s chubby chunky little cheek OMG no lube, no protection, all night all day, from the kitchen floor to toilet seat, from dining table to church, while I gasp for air and scream the lord’s prayer, he can top me. Eighth, normal conversation filming follows. I was shocked by the shots because if my boss crazily let me shoot something like this, I would just put the camera in the corner of the classroom, shoot how Student gets up from the floor and sits without any editing, and then shoot the feather shot of Teacher to end my work. I really enjoy and appreciate how Vox designed the frames of the film. 37:53 About the content of the interrogation, I feel sad about Vox. I saw some Kindred saying: “He’s uncomfortable to answer the private questions. Even though he said that it was all his fault in the after party and emphasized his fault in the following streams, and we didn’t ask him those questions, we still should behave ourselves to make the liver feel safe and create a good environment for Vox’s future creating.” While other Kindred: ”He hates us so much, so he even put his hatred into his important 3D debut to scold us. How dare he do it to his audience! He’s denying all we’ve been through! Ha! He said it’s all his fault but he still kept this scene in the film! He’s still a coward who can do nothing but disappear at his will, leaving his fans in waiting, and then he turns back implying his donators are evil and force him to do those things!” “My money donated to other en livers was enough to improve their monthly sc ranking! Vox! You don’t know what you have lost! I must help your coworkers defeat you because you failed me first! Regret it and cry in your grave!“ “I bought the bml2024 3D concert ticket because the location is near my house, not because of Vox Akuma anymore!” I remember Vox said he wanted his films to have 50% praise and 50% controversy. I don’t know if he’s glad about such criticism; I’m just amused by his spoiled Kindred, who think the stress coming from nowhere is all about the streamer’s delusion. So pathetic. I mean Vox. 39:36 The protecting balls gesture I noticed it before the watchalong and I just thought it was an accidental posture due to the rigidity of the 3D model. I have no comments about it after you explained it, Vox. 39:38 The chasing Good pace, good filming, and good sfx. I love how the frames were edited by Vox: lower Vox’s feature shot - top Vox’s long shot - mifeet - lower Vox’s feature shot - the view of top Vox… The shots work so well! Looking forward to your next cult film! 40:45 creepy but lovely face, followed by another interrogation In this section, the voice acting is the best. I don’t know why chat was laughing. The sfx is hilarious, but the scene is too desperate. In the film, no one wanted to listen to what Vox was saying. In chat, people analysing the countdown and saying “Oh milord, I’ll forever listen to everything you say” were not focusing on the content at all.
3. Kneeling down on the theatre stage 25:26 I cried when I was watching the stream. I’ve loved the inner voice since The Demon Hungers lol. He always speaks for the truth lol. That “And I love them too” is so weak in front of the truth. Vox, you’re not that stupid, but you always choose the worst future path. “You’ll never learn.” Like everyone in the world. Sigh.
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 3D VOX!!!!! This film was absolutely INCREDIBLE from the camera work, the script, the symbolism, the SONGS!??!?!?!? You and everyone who worked on this passion project knocked it out of the park!! Thank you for everything ❤️❤️❤️
One detail in Minotaur, maybe it's me being ignorance of techology. I love the shadows of the fire on the cowboy when he’s singing. The shadow of arms waggling. I love light and shadow, it makes those scenes feel very real.

Minotaur is so good, I am still amazed by this whole production and all bts works and thoughts. Finally finished 2nd watch, I was excited, resonated, surprised, horrified and satisfied, and after all that process it just left me … happy. OTSU❤️

I keep re-watching this, and I can't even put into words how amazing it is. With each new watch I find a line that makes me think of the symbolism in a new way. There are SO MANY lines, and actions as well, just sprinkled in here and there that give off new meanings. Vox, this is absolutely beautiful. It brings so many emotions in the short span of an hour. Everyone should take a good hard look at it and think about how they're treating their oshis.
So, he has just given us an hour of musical film where he tells in a visual and artistic way the feelings and problems he has gone through. Besides to adding more content to its lore, all this planned from months of effort and dedication, he has shown again that he is really involved with his work, multi-talented and simply a great innovative person who loves us a lot 👁👄👁 Holy damn Milord

I watched the film again with 2 of my non-Kindred friends, one of them doesn't even watch vtubers, and they both really liked it! I had to show them TDH and explain some scenes to them so they could understand better, but we've had a long conversation about the symbolism/meaning of some scenes, the songs, and overall production of Minotaur at the end and it made me really happy that they enjoyed it so much They both had a lot of praise for very different aspects of the film and I'm really glad I got to share this with them, and show how proud I am of my oshi's work

This was so good. Great production value/storytelling. You really went all out with this live; the passion is evident. Treating this kind of thing as a production and not just an informal showcase is very creative and fitting for you. The musical direction (including the background instrumentals for ambience) gave me Silent Hill vibes, which is a great thing. I'll probably rewatch this live too, especially for the original songs. I always love hearing you sing in a way that's really unique from how I like most singers. The brief courtroom scene *really* reminded me of the dream courtroom scene in Fullmetal Daemon Muramasa (which, imo, is one of the best visual novels/stories I have ever read). The parallels/themes are almost identical- Kageaki's self-hatred and guilt complex contrasted with the people around him understanding his reasons for needing to kill innocents and trying to let him off the hook, down to the comedic tone of "Well, hey, if you're sad about it, there's nothing we can do. Oh, well, just think about what you did." Your guilt complex here is really similar to Kageaki Minato (who is a GREAT 3-dimensional and compelling protagonist) and how he feels about the people around him not wanting to treat him like a demon and punish him for what he did.

Rewatched it at least 7 times until now... but never get bored bcs this is well produced work filled with details and symbolism deserve to explore.❤ And I wanna say more PRAISE to this man's ACTING, as I didn't see much specifically mentioning. Genuinely wish this 3D opens MORE opportunities for him on VAs and others. 🥺First the control of the lines is so GOOD, again refresh my impressions on Vox's skill, the voice demon FR. Then the BIG pleasant surprise is his control on body, the body expression is very natural and good at illustrating characters' state.😮I really love the scene in church bf Tenshi showed who he is for THAT natural acting. Also, sorry but had to say I LOOOOOVE Tenshi's appearance, plz come more in 3D🙏😇 I like the way he acts and the words he chose for expressing his mind. (Classroom and court scenes are all wonderful, benefited by the vibe the acting creates) And I am so happy to find milord's control on singing voice improves so much, I believe this will be just a new start, and milord will keep growing on singing and becomes better on express with singing. 😎🥳(The mixing is quite good this time, thank u so much VALLY.EXE : ) ) Ngl, I can feel the direction of Vox on this whole project. And I appreciate how he puts all these together then comes out with such amazing film. I'll never stop praising Vox and the creative team(Unit.0, PrettyPatterns and others) for making the songs combined with the plot so so well,✍ it's never been easy let the character SING out their thoughts and emotions naturally and fluently.🎶🎤 The 5 songs also construct a good structure. He is serious when he titled him as writer, producer and director. This 3D is Vox's film.👏The potential on this man is crazy, I'd love to stay and witness his growth in the coming days. The film really made my emotions go haywire there were times I would tear up, laugh, and question what is happening especially in the labyrinth. Your vocals are sooo 💯🔥 Vox . I keep rewatching the film and it still gets me everytime. THIS WHOLE FILM IS SUCH A MASTERPIECE 💯💯💯💯

I noticed a goofed scene(Idk the word native English speakers usually use to describe such shots): at 52:23, Box's footstep sound was like leather shoes stepping on the wooden ground floor. But at 53:55, we can clearly see Box only wore a pair of sandals like VoxHow could Box make that handsome tramp-tramp rustle sound with his slippers

Vox Akuma the man that you are. This was incredible. I'm too overwhelmed to really articulate anything right now but when I get you. God that was so good. You sounded so good, the writing, the editing (shoutout to Shanzi) the soundtrack, the cinematography, the messages and story you told. Everything was so well done and truly masterful. You are taking it to the next level, bravo.
It's been almost a week and I still feel at a loss of words for what a masterpiece this is. So much artistry and effort. As a long time Kindred I've understood a lot of the meaning behind some of the scenes that are true and heart wretching, but this is the ultimate love letter to the being as Vox Akuma. And Fulgur's appearance as someone comforting; the confidence to keep going on; is truer than anything else. Otsu Vox!!! AND BOXXXXX TENSHIIIII SEXOOOOOOO

I don't watch much Vox outside of whenever he's in another collab, but I've been aware that he's a theater kid through-and-through. The Vox/Fulgur scene was genuinely powerful and had such a layered message that I'm sure meant so much for Vox to air out given all that's happened this year
For an artsy, creative person, this was his outlet to air out all he's ruminated about, from fear, regret, guilt, shame, and most importantly acceptance of the healthy idea to *not* ruminate for too long to the point that it'd strip him from ever trying to do good the next go around, or even just acknowledging the good that *is* within him
I think the message of the beach scene is one that's deeply valuable for anybody willing to be open-minded and listen, whether it's people who will never waver in their love for Vox or people who've condemned him for supposed eternity
And Fulgur did wonderful to represent the healthier conscience within Vox! And quite honestly the best liver to represent that given Fulgur's natural pension as a supportive figure
Amazing scene all around. As someone who admittedly had mixed feelings about Vox, this kind of work is precisely why I was never in the "condemned for eternity" camp. Not to pull the curtain too much, but he is a human being, and all human beings, you, me, us, them, Vox, any liver, should never be eternally damned from being considered human, because of mistakes (perceived or real) especially about a situation we truly know little about

Otsu doesn't feel like enough for all the effort that went into this! We got a free musical, like what? This production, the editing, the music, the script, everything about this was amazing. Gosh it shook me to my core at times. It was a ride from start to finish and I thank you for your vision, holy shit. That was so good! As someone who is studying storytelling, camera work, animations, and all that, that was one of the most well written piece I have seen this whole year. It was so beautiful! And the music! The soundtrack went hard! And your singing, it was so beautiful and smooth! The labyrinth part was my favorite, it was so good, the story was so moving and tense and full of emotions. And the beach scene, it really moved my heart. Box appearing was incredible. The ending was just, incredible, that all I can say, it was truly incredible and well written and I am just so proud of you and how it turned out. I know it's been a while since I showed up but Voxxy, milord, midad, father dearest... I am so SO proud of you. Look at how much you've been able to accomplish. And yes, Fufu's right. No matter what wrong you've done, the past is in the past. The Vox we know may have done terrible things but he isn't a terrible person. That may have been who you were but that's not who you are now. We've always got your back.

I’m rewatching this and I’d say the acting is so underrated. Now in 3D it’s not just the tone of his voice but the body language as well. The way he captures the tone of the scene blends with the voice and the soundtrack is so damn beautiful.
I can't even begin to explain what an experience it was to witness this "debut", honestly I feel like cinematic experience is more appropriate cause it was absolutely incredible. From the script itself, music, pacing, editing to the musical bits, seriously otsu for everybody that made it possible. Also the amount of tears that poured by seeing Fuuchan there, Vox and Mane-san thank you for making it possible and so special. The entire dialogue was beautiful and last but not least Vox, I genuinely hope that one day everyone can witness your talent and be speechless by your creativity. Seriously, thank you for sharing it with us.

28:33 But all they love is how much you love them. 看到这里真的头皮发麻。以前特别多亲亲的时期，感觉就是维持人类状态的时候，想要被爱，害怕失去爱。直播排得很多，有的时候也没法说出自己的想法，下意识地想让所有人开心。但是夜深人静的时候脑海中就会响起这样的声音，认为这份爱只是等价交换，而不是自己真正被爱着。也许想过要挣脱，但是醒来的时候又无法放弃被爱，也不想伤害任何人。我有过一小段时间也很在意为什么没有亲亲，感觉到很恐惧好像不再被爱着了。后面发现，如果只是因为盒不提供爱了，就不再爱这个人了，到底是爱着这个人，还是只是爱着按照你意愿提供爱的发条玩具呢？主播虽然不喜欢做发条玩具，但是很长一段时间他都做得很好，甚至快要习惯了吧。但是挣脱玩具的外壳，不被爱的恐惧，去做自己真正想做的事情。结果是带来了如此美丽的作品，和回头发现，原来还有那么多人爱着真正的自己这件事吧。从我自己的角度来说，我看到了更多真实的他，也对爱和被爱有了不同的看法。他的天赋和才华在过去并没有被完全展现，但是现在，这一次的作品又更加让人惊艳。虽然像以前一样可能短时间会比较幸福，但是现在这样的成就，是绝对无法取得的。这部作品对盒k来说，都牺牲了很多，但是正是因为来之不易，才觉得更加……比任何的电影都美丽。像看到了自己和他的影子。很抱歉过去有一段时间觉得有点伤心，也没有完全理解转型这件事。但是像影片的结尾，盒k终于挣脱了过去的恶梦，会继续走向新的篇章吧。
I keep coming back to this film and finding new meanings and interpretations with every re-watch... would love to see more fans share their analytical breakdowns on social media bc there is SO much to discuss in every scene beyond appreciation of the aesthetics + sound design (which are equally incredible, btw).
My personal understanding of the pre-Act I opening (i.e. "He Who Awaits Eternity") is that it's our introduction to Vox as he's seen through everyone else's eyes. Through the lens of his lore, it's his fearsome reputation across the lands as a cruel and merciless soul-eating demon; and through the lens of him as a Vtuber, it's how people (haters, fans, and complete strangers alike) speak of him behind his back, how those who refuse to see beyond surface-level choose to cast judgment on him. We don't think of someone who exists in legends, who has achieved nearly celebrity status, as human-- as a man just like the rest of us. (And in later acts we come to see how Vox ALSO internally struggles with thinking of himself in this same way, especially in contrast to the more forgiving people around him.)
At first I only interpreted the C.S. Lewis quote in the beginning as alluding to Vox's fears when it comes to being in a position of power (both in lore and as an internet persona), but now I'm also seeing how it works in reverse-- the power that his followers/fans hold over him, and the ways they can easily abuse that power and overstep boundaries while deluding themselves into thinking it's for Vox's own "good."
I'll end my think piece here, even though there's so much more beyond just the first 7 minutes. (One of my favorite scenes was the classroom interrogation and its scathing depiction of the reality of parasocial relations.)
I myself have only been approaching this film through 2 lenses, but would love to know how other people have been interpreting things!

mans made a whole fucking musical, Kindred, our oshi is so damn amazing
Bravo! that was a masterpiece. All the original songs were moving and the singing itself was spot on. The bro-hug with Fulgur had me almost crying. I was yelling at my screen when that twist character showed up near the end. The animation was superb. When this man cooks, he brings a feast.
3 PERSONAL FAV PARTS(I’m an English learner so I’m not sure of the correctness of any terms.)
1. Box Tenshi 48:49
From Vox hugging himself, he nodded to greet the coffins in the church. Suddenly, the silhouette appeared; I like the sound effects here. At first, Vox was upset into another dream. But I didn’t expect him to ask for help from a stranger about his future, and we can see his fingers were so nervous lol. The way he wanted someone to guide his future and said “please” was so pathetic and I like it; oh, my vulnerable son. And I like the landscape shots here: the white spots were like spirits haunting around in the church. After getting no answers from the Father, Vox changed his voice into a casual one, which made me laugh. And the contrast of the way Vox walked between the 3D preview and the film got me lol. In the spoiler, Vox was so slay with the bgm while in the film, he’s just an approachable guy who got lost. I think maybe it’s because the preview didn’t reveal the eyes, he looked domineering.
Then Father stood up and walked into the centre of the sight. I really like the footstep sound and the sound effects here. And the contrast between Vox’s voice and Box’s voice here is so nice! Box’s voice was so elegant, beautiful and kind, but we all know he’s crazy! What an excellent actor!
As predicted, when Box’s best friends, the tentacles, bound Vox, oh his voice became insane with anger, but his remarks were so beautiful.
53:36 “All that time, you’ve never told them about me.” In a sudden, Box seemed to become calm. But look at what he said! He was complaining about Vox! He was powerful but still fear of being missed out by Vox! He depicted his loneliness in this way! And I really love the little pause before the word “me”, which made him more like a whining wife.
The music’s volume rose, and the Father came out of the dark in the middle shot, followed by a feature shot of Vox’s eyes with a little blue tint. I love the implication here.
53:47 I thought it was “Go back to your life, kid” and I was curious why the Google translation gave a name lol. I should’ve trusted it first lol. I thought Box just wanted to show he knew Vox very well lol. But the name “Vic”, is more intimate! This is the exclusive name of Box calling Vox (And Vox prefers just to call Box’s surname Tenshi)! I wonder how many secrets they have! So fcking sweet!
54:05 I love how the camera moved in this part. Starting from seeing Box from a lower view, Box seemed to be so powerful, superior, and a little angry saying the line “even the little good you do grinds your soul to powder”. But then the camera rose and gave the audience a feature shot of his face. The scene seems to show he’s not that strong because his following words to Vox were so sad.
And then he disappeared from Vox’s dream and Vox didn’t know if he was the true one or not. Wasn’t Box Tenshi lonely? He only could show up in his “friend” Vic’s dream when Vox was vulnerable, and he did get angry for being ignored by Vox, but Box was just binding Vox gently. And even though Box bound him, Vox even said he wanted to give Box Tenshi the biggest project. I really wished I was the one to be bound and degraded by Box, because I guess Vox was uncomfortable. But the tension between the demon and the angel made me hesitate.
They really love each other.
2. Desolated classroom and the court 36:23
The shot language of this part is my favourite, but because I love Box more so I put this part in the second place. I really don’t know what Vox was thinking while editing. He’s a genius. If I have a chance to summarize the characteristics of the part, I will use the word “contrast”.
Starting from the cow noise, the scream of Vox and the calm white noise of the insects’ chirp are the first contrasts for me.
And the background changed from the WHITE New Cydonia to the BLACK dream. Good vfx for me.
Then the mid shot (medium ground) of Vox switched into a long shot (distant view) to show the information to the audience: Vox was in a forest.
The white font of the act 3 title makes a strong contrast with the black forest. And I like the sfx where the title came out.
After Vox sneaked in the forest: the color of Vox’s feature shot is cold, and then the panning camera showed Jiro’s house with warm color. I love the violin (I guess; I don’t know about music or instruments) here and I noticed there was a shot of Vox’s back, which really enriched the shot language.
37:33 Vox fell into another dream
First, a feature shot from Vox’s front, which is a continual from last dream’s posture of Vox.
Second, I can’t believe Vox changed the angle 180 degrees??? He reversed the frame while editing?! The camera view zoomed out to show there were two desks and chairs next to Vox for more information to the audience!!! I don’t know it’s Vox or the nijien’s photographers who shot this part, or just Vox edited this shot by himself. This composition is amazing.
Third, I didn’t expect to see a long shot from the outside through the frost window… It’s purely a shot for the audience, like providing seats for them and saying “The show is beginning and wait and see what Vox would do among the desks and chairs”. And the view is like from a stalker too.
Fourth, a feature shot of Vox getting up nervously and becoming a student in the dream.
Fifth, a long shot of Teacher Vox going in with the excellent sfx and showing the position between the two Voxs. The frame makes the way Teacher Vox approaches Student Vox a sense of pressure.
Sixth, a swirling feature shot between Teacher Vox and Student Vox reveals their unequal position.
Seventh, wtf is the angle at 37:53 lol how the camera captured Vox’s chubby chunky little cheek OMG no lube, no protection, all night all day, from the kitchen floor to toilet seat, from dining table to church, while I gasp for air and scream the lord’s prayer, he can top me.
Eighth, normal conversation filming follows.
I was shocked by the shots because if my boss crazily let me shoot something like this, I would just put the camera in the corner of the classroom, shoot how Student gets up from the floor and sits without any editing, and then shoot the feather shot of Teacher to end my work. I really enjoy and appreciate how Vox designed the frames of the film.
37:53 About the content of the interrogation, I feel sad about Vox.
I saw some Kindred saying: “He’s uncomfortable to answer the private questions. Even though he said that it was all his fault in the after party and emphasized his fault in the following streams, and we didn’t ask him those questions, we still should behave ourselves to make the liver feel safe and create a good environment for Vox’s future creating.”
While other Kindred: ”He hates us so much, so he even put his hatred into his important 3D debut to scold us. How dare he do it to his audience! He’s denying all we’ve been through! Ha! He said it’s all his fault but he still kept this scene in the film! He’s still a coward who can do nothing but disappear at his will, leaving his fans in waiting, and then he turns back implying his donators are evil and force him to do those things!” “My money donated to other en livers was enough to improve their monthly sc ranking! Vox! You don’t know what you have lost! I must help your coworkers defeat you because you failed me first! Regret it and cry in your grave!“ “I bought the bml2024 3D concert ticket because the location is near my house, not because of Vox Akuma anymore!”
I remember Vox said he wanted his films to have 50% praise and 50% controversy. I don’t know if he’s glad about such criticism; I’m just amused by his spoiled Kindred, who think the stress coming from nowhere is all about the streamer’s delusion. So pathetic. I mean Vox.
39:36 The protecting balls gesture
I noticed it before the watchalong and I just thought it was an accidental posture due to the rigidity of the 3D model.

In this section, the voice acting is the best.
I don’t know why chat was laughing. The sfx is hilarious, but the scene is too desperate. In the film, no one wanted to listen to what Vox was saying. In chat, people analysing the countdown and saying “Oh milord, I’ll forever listen to everything you say” were not focusing on the content at all.

One detail in Minotaur, maybe it's me being ignorance of techology. I love the shadows of the fire on the cowboy when he’s singing. The shadow of arms waggling. I love light and shadow, it makes those scenes feel very real.

I keep re-watching this, and I can't even put into words how amazing it is. With each new watch I find a line that makes me think of the symbolism in a new way. There are SO MANY lines, and actions as well, just sprinkled in here and there that give off new meanings.
Vox, this is absolutely beautiful. It brings so many emotions in the short span of an hour. Everyone should take a good hard look at it and think about how they're treating their oshis.

I watched the film again with 2 of my non-Kindred friends, one of them doesn't even watch vtubers, and they both really liked it!
I had to show them TDH and explain some scenes to them so they could understand better, but we've had a long conversation about the symbolism/meaning of some scenes, the songs, and overall production of Minotaur at the end and it made me really happy that they enjoyed it so much
They both had a lot of praise for very different aspects of the film and I'm really glad I got to share this with them, and show how proud I am of my oshi's work

This was so good. Great production value/storytelling. You really went all out with this live; the passion is evident. Treating this kind of thing as a production and not just an informal showcase is very creative and fitting for you.
The musical direction (including the background instrumentals for ambience) gave me Silent Hill vibes, which is a great thing.
I'll probably rewatch this live too, especially for the original songs. I always love hearing you sing in a way that's really unique from how I like most singers.
The brief courtroom scene *really* reminded me of the dream courtroom scene in Fullmetal Daemon Muramasa (which, imo, is one of the best visual novels/stories I have ever read). The parallels/themes are almost identical- Kageaki's self-hatred and guilt complex contrasted with the people around him understanding his reasons for needing to kill innocents and trying to let him off the hook, down to the comedic tone of "Well, hey, if you're sad about it, there's nothing we can do. Oh, well, just think about what you did." Your guilt complex here is really similar to Kageaki Minato (who is a GREAT 3-dimensional and compelling protagonist) and how he feels about the people around him not wanting to treat him like a demon and punish him for what he did.
I must say that this is the most fascinating 3D debut I have ever watched. Truly a piece of art with great talent and passion. Congrats on 3D Milord!!

Rewatched it at least 7 times until now... but never get bored bcs this is well produced work filled with details and symbolism deserve to explore.❤ And I wanna say more PRAISE to this man's ACTING, as I didn't see much specifically mentioning. Genuinely wish this 3D opens MORE opportunities for him on VAs and others. 🥺First the control of the lines is so GOOD, again refresh my impressions on Vox's skill, the voice demon FR. Then the BIG pleasant surprise is his control on body, the body expression is very natural and good at illustrating characters' state.😮I really love the scene in church bf Tenshi showed who he is for THAT natural acting. Also, sorry but had to say I LOOOOOVE Tenshi's appearance, plz come more in 3D🙏😇 I like the way he acts and the words he chose for expressing his mind. (Classroom and court scenes are all wonderful, benefited by the vibe the acting creates)
And I am so happy to find milord's control on singing voice improves so much, I believe this will be just a new start, and milord will keep growing on singing and becomes better on express with singing. 😎🥳(The mixing is quite good this time, thank u so much VALLY.EXE : ) )
Ngl, I can feel the direction of Vox on this whole project. And I appreciate how he puts all these together then comes out with such amazing film. I'll never stop praising Vox and the creative team(Unit.0, PrettyPatterns and others) for making the songs combined with the plot so so well,✍ it's never been easy let the character SING out their thoughts and emotions naturally and fluently.🎶🎤 The 5 songs also construct a good structure.
He is serious when he titled him as writer, producer and director. This 3D is Vox's film.👏The potential on this man is crazy, I'd love to stay and witness his growth in the coming days.

I noticed a goofed scene(Idk the word native English speakers usually use to describe such shots): at 52:23, Box's footstep sound was like leather shoes stepping on the wooden ground floor. But at 53:55, we can clearly see Box only wore a pair of sandals like VoxHow could Box make that handsome tramp-tramp rustle sound with his slippers

It's been almost a week and I still feel at a loss of words for what a masterpiece this is. So much artistry and effort. As a long time Kindred I've understood a lot of the meaning behind some of the scenes that are true and heart wretching, but this is the ultimate love letter to the being as Vox Akuma. And Fulgur's appearance as someone comforting; the confidence to keep going on; is truer than anything else. Otsu Vox!!!
