Black is beautiful much love from USA. I'm African American and love seeing women of color take back the narrative especially in international pageant that they are beautiful as they are.
Sorry honey, we in Polynesia don’t really look at color like y’all do in the USA. That’s pretty racist to only say “women of color” because we come in all colors from down here..”light skinned, brown, dark skinned” all of the above, we are all the same.
@@AK47HEAVYMETAL83 a person of color includes the Pacific Islander community. It's not racist to acknowledge color as Melanesians get over look in the API community in comparison to Polynesians. Many Papuans self identify as black just to let you know.

maybe because only pacific islanders can contest on it. just because other pacific countries are not included doesnt make it any less pacific islander
The contest is open to any Pacific country willing to join. Many don’t because it’s their choice not to, or lack of funds or interest
Beautiful pageant !! The singing sister's were not that good, most of their Harmony's were way off, hurt the ears !! But they are young and practise makes perfect, or at least better !!

The pacific Islands were mostly colonized by white men (Europeans:German, & French men), Portuguese & Japenese. So yea some of us are pretty mixed.
