Faulty Exhaust Pipe Results In Loud Unpleasant Noise From The Engine
We had this 2017 Renault Kwid visit one of our MotoFyx car repair workshop for a concern relating to that of unpleasant noise being observed from the car, with the noise only increasing upon acceleration. Since the noise was not only unpleasant but also loud, drawing unwanted attention, making it rather embarrassing driving the car around, hence the car owner reached out to us for immediate assistance, in order to permanently silence the noise concern observed.
Upon a detailed inspection of the car by our expert technicians, an initial road trial indicated signs that the noise being generated was due to a faulty exhaust system, hence the car was raised above ground in order to to further diagnose the concern in greater detail. A thorough underbody inspection was performed and during the inspection the silencer was found damaged and was beyond repair.
*Function of an exhaust pipe:
- The main function of the exhaust pipe is to direct the exhaust fumes away from the car’s cabin either towards the rear end of the side or it’s sides
- The exhaust pipe plays an important role towards improving overall engine performance and fuel economy, while also ensuring silent engine operation
*Symptoms of a faulty / damaged exhaust pipe:
- Hanging exhaust pipe
- Burning gas smell
- Reduced fuel efficiency
- Decreased power out up
- Noisy engine
*Solution:
- The faulty silencer was replaced with new one as it was beyond repair

No one can finally solve Kwid Silencer issue. Till today, I have changed 4 silencers in 7 years. Now SC is again telling to install one piece silencer that will be 5th one 😔

That's true - go to a local mechanic and fit a modified maruti silencer.

Fit a aftermarket one with better materials....I bought one from India mart and it's pretty good quality and it haven't broke even once
