I don't know Sola well but I find this interview inspiring. I first saw him play with Ronnie Jordan, I forget which year, possibly around 92? . I think I was playing with Incognito standing in for them. I watched quite a few bands and saw lots of flashy players but when I watched Sola play, He really connected I remember saying back then that this fella has the sunshine in his playing and a lot of the time he was just using a tambourine and a metal torpedo shaker. Driving the rhythm very much from within, it was clear he fully understood the nature of a groove. I haven't heard any of his recent music but having watched this interview I will now hasten to do so! Cheers DC

Was he the drummer or the digiradoo player?
No mate, Derrick McKenzie is the drummer and Wallis Buchanan used to play the didgeridoo
