    The funny thing is, Drakengard itself started basically the same way, when the cathedral city appeared in the Iberian Peninsula out of nowhere in 856. Seriously.

      I read somewhere that it was stated by Yoko Taro that Accord was made by the dark/night kingdom (the one in nier automata) around the year 7,000.
      Accord is part of the cathedral city as she was shown in some holograms there and they were the ones to contain and seal the black flower as seen in the Manga.
      So if the night kingdom thing is true its very possible that this thing is just a big bucle where things happen in the same order eternally, a city shows out of nowhere with magic and powers and mythological beings, hundreds of years later they open a path to another universe and they fuck that one up and thousands of years later that dead world goes back in time and space to try and stop everything only to make it start again, and again and again and again.....

      The upcoming new NieR game is called "NieR: Reincarnation". Maybe the plot would revolve around an attempt by someone who is aware that the humans and aliens died out to "reincarnate" them, only instead creating grotesque mutated creatures that would end up becoming the Watchers and Dragons.

    • @Tony-lw5yp

      @@Ponera-Sama the game has been out for a long time, it revolves around "stories" you can find in the cage and relive them. There are mentions of Nier there as the man that destroyed the world but afaik nothing about the watchers or aliens. It also takes place before automata.

      Nier-verse is essentially our real world being exposed to magic. The moment caim/angelus and the queen came crashing through the dimension into this universe, it was game over.
      The white chlorination syndrome was turning people into subjugated slaves of the red eye legion that ranged in the thousands upon thousands, or reduced to piles of salt. Humanity was more or less exposed to a magical borne illness and there was no such cure.

    Wanna know something creepy?
    These bells ringing are actually real in lore for nier. During the battle with the grotesquerie queen, citizens throughout the city of Tokyo all reported hearing strange bells playing loudly, like church bells, and yet there were no audio recordings or the likes of such happening either. The reason why; Is because these bells were in fact playing inside people's minds. And the terrifying thing is that those who heard these sounds have unknowingly become infected by white chlorination syndrome, an otherwise magical borne illness that humanity was exposed to.

    Now that I think of it...
    Originally, there was no sequel intended for Drakengard, what makes me think that before the idea for NieR came along, the events that took place in Tokyo were the beginning of Drakengard's timeline, once there was no clear explanation for why there were ruined modern skyscrappers in medieval times.
    Of course this ended up not being canon, but for the time it could've made a lot of sense.

    and from what i heard cavia decided to pull another one of these for the final ending of drakengard 3. (btw, i think it seems cavia decided this ending is the truest one, since they were apparently really dissapointed with 2, made a sequal to this ending called nier, made an entire book to explain the links and new earth, and apparently drakengard 3 holds links to nier and 1, but little to none with the second game.)

    • @DracoMagnius
      @DracoMagnius  9 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      I've seen it and it's horrifying...there are 7 waves, one color, your defense against it is a small shield that surrounds your body, and the camera angles change...
      I'm ok with this Nier was eons better than Drakengard 2 story wise and I preferred it's gameplay as well. I just wish they made Drakengard 3 for the PS4 as well. I need to borrow my friend's PS3 if I want to Let's Play it at some point.

    • @OsnosisBones
      @OsnosisBones 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Draco Magnius i'm kinda hoping for a drakengard hd remaster that has like 3 for ps4 and a graphically improved nier with the story points they had to add in later in a book added into the actual game with improved 3 style gameplay...maybe do the same with the first drakengard as well...but that last part may be too much, cavis is given less of a budget than other parts of square, such as ivalice allience, and nomura's team...but i think the cult following of nier and how well drakengard is doing thanks to it has made square consider them, and other lesser used braches and old series, more...they've even said they may reboot more old series, and there is possibilities of yet another drakengard continuing 3's plot lol

      Draco Magnius good luck to you.
      on the note of nier playthroughs, for me games like nier, or most story based games actually, i like watching blind lets playes where they focus more on story and side story and comment on it...mostly cuz i like seeing people's reactions to stories and sad events in them....seeing how their reactions are in comparison with my own...been that way for years, since i'm actually okay with just watching my friends play or taking turns int he playthroughs since i enjoy their own reactions and making conversation as we play almost as much as i like playing the games myself lol.
      the problem with this is that such games are rarely blind, though i have found some blind lps...but most were commentaryless lol

    • @DracoMagnius
      @DracoMagnius  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nakumare Well due to the nature of games like Drakengard and Nier it's pretty much impossible to let's play them totally blind due to the fact that to unlock the different endings you need to do something specifc like get all the weapons or do all the sidequests and some weapons are complicated to get. I have seen a LP of Nier and Drakengard 3 all the way through so I won't be blind if I ever do them.

    For example, what if there are actually two Cathedral Cities (although the city is said to be on the Iberian Peninsula, in the original game, it's located outside the map, beyond clouds) because the timeline is actually this:
    -Drakengard 3 (routes C and E);
    -Tokyo, 2003;
    -Drakengard 1;
    -Nier;
    -Nier Automata.
    What if Brother One and his cult were the ones who came up with project Gestalt ?
    What if he's the reason the Gestalts became violent before the Shadowlord was thought of ?
    What if the Seeds are actually clones of Emil and his sister that are harvested by the androids to be turned into angels/Watchers, with those who disobey being twisted into dragonhood ?
    What if the Empire's crusade is the reason humanity is so spread thin in "Nier", and without any knowledge about technology, and with little to no use of magic ?
    What if that's why Brother One was exiled from the church ? Because his red eyes were too similar to that of androids and Salt creatures, meaning he could turn humans into bloodthirsty creatures too, the same way androids and the Legion were ?
