Well I'm back out exploring the Victorian high country.
And in this one I hit up some high country huts (some I haven't seen) I do a plan change and walk into Wentworth falls and head into some overgrown tracks solo!
I end up making camp on a random helipad to relax to a fantastic sunset.

I wouldn’t fault another set of bfg km2 mud, bought the km3 this time but I’m super impressed with the cooper at2 that come on my Ute, keep up the great footage

Maxxis razr are good, have had a lot of tyres most have been very good, lots of comments about nitto trailgrappler loved the set I had but they were on bead locks and I’d run them at 12 straight off the bat in the HC they are far to heavy duty to work well on std rims / 16-20psi
Currently using Duratrac wranglers about half with now and think I will be getting another set

Maxxis seems popular and the KO2 as well, heard good things about the Nitto's too but not sure if avail in Vic.

I've running maxxis razr all terrain tyre's on my navara dual cab loaded with the goodies, so she's carrying some weight, at the moment they have done 60000ks still got about another 5 to 10 thousand ks but I'll be going razr muddies next in a couple of months.they are excellent tyre's and great price.
Yeah thinking Razors MT are going to be really good just before winter as well 👍
Another good video. I believe the overgrown tracks is due to several wet summers, and also less 4WDers because of Covid etc?
Chees mate glad you enjoyed the vid. Yeah it looks like they have been cleared but over 3 years ago. Its all the small growth that has come back up on the cleared sections 👍
Hey mate we've got 2 weeks in the high country planned in October as I mentioned in an earlier msg to ya. Not knowing the area at all what kind of ittinery would you suggest for us to do to see the best that that place has to offer?? Would love some local knowledge to help us plan bro🤙
G'day mate a lot of the tracks will be seasonal closed around then.
All depending of weather conditions a really good loop is Burgoyne down to the Macalester gorge then back up Green hills Tk to Cob spur To all the way to the Jamison Licola road, then drop down stay in Licola and do either Tamboritha Rd to B1 Tk, up Chromite mine then hit Mount Margaret and go from there.

Cheers mate, generally channel 10 or 11 are good.
I use personal channels when with a group.A lot of people also use 40 (truck channel) 👍

How many bush tracks are gated, and if a fire did happen,how does the emergency services get in. I can remember there were no gated roads we would clear any logs off the road and keep them clear for next time, everyone that was in our group had a chain saw or axes.
Yeah A lot have been graded mate. Its not going to stop a wild fire And ide hate to be there when one comes though even in a CFA tanker

hi mate what i would do when i see wild live i would let it run off the road not chase, and just asking what stretcher do u use, does it sage during the night but all in all good vid will have to get to that part of aussie
It's a Kulkyne stretcher mate, no sags at all at this stage 👍
I heard the old pattern maxxis are better than the new pattern if you can still get them
I ended up going with Yokohama Geolanders G003 MT So far I really like them mate
I run Maxxis 315/70/17's muddy's on my 79 dual cab, good side wall protection. I've not put them through too much carnage yet but we plan to hit the High Country around October. Has survived our local tracks so far around Nowra👍

Nice vid mate. I am running Mickey Thompson ATZ P3. Aggressive AT. This is my 2nd set in the car. No punchers for last 8 years (two sets all weather and all condition, snow, mud, sand and remote outback)

By the way, i run Maxxis razr mt and they are an excellent tyre off road and on for a muddy, you wont be disappointed.
