Regarding suicide, they really do got you. A year ago during quarantine my mental health was exponentially bad. There was a moment in a podcast where Akaash spoke everything I felt. I shared it on Instagram never expecting him to actually see it. Unexpectedly, he reached out with some encouragement and I will always appreciate the time he took to make sure I was okay.

I heard a joke on somewhere on the internet a day after it happened, it was “You miss every shot you don’t take.” -Alec Baldwin; but that exact quote came from Michael Jordan. That person really did him dirty
For those that don’t know (like Andrew apparently) there’s 2 types of revolvers, single action and double action. What Andrew was describing is double action, where you pull the trigger, it cocks the hammer and then fires. Single action, like the ones used in the Alec Baldwin shooting (and commonly in Westerns) require the hammer to be pulled back manually every shot, and the hammer is released and fired when the trigger is pulled. A single action Colt CANNOT fire unless the hammer is pulled back and the trigger is depressed. There’s 4 ratchet detents on the hammer that simply won’t allow the gun to accidentally fire unless the trigger is pulled. It would take a serious shock or impact to the hammer mechanism to make that firing pin come in contact with the primer (and even then the cylinder and barrel don’t line up and the trigger is still disabled until you pull the hammer past “half-cocked”) My guess is that Alec (being an anti-gun guy and knowing absolutely nothing about firearms), drew the gun and in doing so had his finger over and pulling the trigger (which if depressed on a single action revolver WILL allow the hammer to fall when pulled/released) and he pulled the hammer back with his thumb, and let it go, firing the pistol. The triggers on some of those old revolvers have an incredibly short pull, like 1-2mm, so he may not have even realized it. Regardless, he didn’t check the gun, (if the scene called for him to point it at his own head do you think he would’ve just taken someone’s word that it wasn’t loaded?). He clearly didn’t know how it operated or how to handle it safely. He pointed it at someone (which is rule 1 in gun safety 101), and he had to make 2 deliberate actions to fire it. This 100% is negligent homicide.
A ton of single actions, especially those used in films, have had the safety notches removed and any pistol with a hack trigger job done on them can go off if the hammer is touched. I see shit like that every day. The bottom line is without seeing the gun anyone speaking about it on both sides is 100% talking out their ass

I think ive worked out what happened: 1) There was a walkout, people were pissed with Baldwin. 2) They decided to put live rounds in the dummy/blank box OR replace the dummy/blank rounds in the gun from what the armorer had inserted previously. 3) The armorer was EITHER angry or upset with Baldwin herself from being mistreated, so in protest she decided to have a longer lunch OR just wanted to stay away from him for a while. 4) Things were tense, Baldwin wasnt happy with what had occurred with the crew leaving, the armorer following course, so he decided to load the gun up himself, or just pick up the gun with 'blanks' in it. 5) Halyna was a kind of lets get this done, no messing about and Baldwin didnt like her attitude or lack of 'small talk'. 6) He thought he had loaded blanks in the gun OR had picked up the gun with blanks and tried to scare Halyna by firing at her. The bit I can't work out is: A) whoever placed those live rounds in the box, did they know the scene would involve him shooting 'blanks' towards Halyna? B) did the armorer know someone was sabotaging the gun/ammo box and stay away for that reason? C) was Baldwin the intended target?

As a real estate agent, I've heard a ton of stories about how appraisers can just pull some random number out of their ass thats way lower than what it should be usually because they're lazy or whatever. the majority of how appraisers should be appraising is they find "comps" or comparable houses, basically they find the most similar houses possible (square footage, number of bedrooms, features, location, etc.) that have sold recently and they'll base their appraisal on that. then usually the walk through is to determine if really is up to that standard. often times tho an appraiser can just not do their research and come up with a bullshit reason. so what I think is probably more likely is that they just went to a dogshit appraisal company at first

What you're referring to is called "fanning" - the technique where someone uses their hand to rapidly pull the hammer back. When you fan, you still have to hold the trigger down because the hammer stays in place when you pull it back. I don't know what gun he was using, but a single action revolver requires the hammer to be pulled back before it fires every single time, but you can't just shoot the gun by pulling the hammer back. I suppose it's possible that he didn't pull it all the way back and it didn't lock in place, but rather snapped forward again and struck the primer of the bullet, but that shouldn't happen. But yea, if he had a single action revolver, you have to pull the hammer back and lock it in place, then pull the trigger before firing. With a double action revolver, you can pull the trigger without cocking the hammer back. The action of pulling the trigger both cocks the hammer and then releases it. In both cases, simply pulling the hammer back does not fire the gun. You have to pull the trigger. I don't know what the means in this case, or what it means in terms of responsibility, I'm just saying that you're incorrect about the hammer and fanning.
In the 90’s I used to work on film sets and my first job was as a runner, basically a gofer. One one film, the director and one of the actors wanted cigars. I had to drive a 700 mile round trip to London, we were almost in Scotland, middle of fucking nowhere, to get them Davidoff cigars because no one local had a brand they liked. Decomposing of the tissue by TB bacteria and fungi. The symptoms of this healing phase are: severe coughing up of blood and tissue, fever, inflammation, severe mucous, body aches, fatigue. I think ive worked out what happened:
1) There was a walkout, people were pissed with Baldwin.
2) They decided to put live rounds in the dummy/blank box OR replace the dummy/blank rounds in the gun from what the armorer had inserted previously.
3) The armorer was EITHER angry or upset with Baldwin herself from being mistreated, so in protest she decided to have a longer lunch OR just wanted to stay away from him for a while.
4) Things were tense, Baldwin wasnt happy with what had occurred with the crew leaving, the armorer following course, so he decided to load the gun up himself, or just pick up the gun with 'blanks' in it.
5) Halyna was a kind of lets get this done, no messing about and Baldwin didnt like her attitude or lack of 'small talk'.
6) He thought he had loaded blanks in the gun OR had picked up the gun with blanks and tried to scare Halyna by firing at her.
The bit I can't work out is:
A) whoever placed those live rounds in the box, did they know the scene would involve him shooting 'blanks' towards Halyna?
B) did the armorer know someone was sabotaging the gun/ammo box and stay away for that reason?
C) was Baldwin the intended target?
He's the one shitting on producers for not having gun safety practices on set, HE WAS THE PRODUCER ON THE SET WHERE HE SHOT 2 PEOPLE. "I didn't pull the trigger, it went off on it's own" IT'S A REVOLVER, The hammer ain't gonna go forward and smack the bullet unless the trigger is pulled. He's cappin'. It's ALSO his fault for pressuring the young woman who they hired as their "gun expert" on set. She's under 30 and having to manage literal untrained cocky ass actors on a totally un-professional set. Honestly 100% on him.
It's one thing to fuck up, but then to lie. And BLAME THE GUN, A FUCKING REVOLVER- Man's is insane, lock him up for good.

As a real estate agent, I've heard a ton of stories about how appraisers can just pull some random number out of their ass thats way lower than what it should be usually because they're lazy or whatever. the majority of how appraisers should be appraising is they find "comps" or comparable houses, basically they find the most similar houses possible (square footage, number of bedrooms, features, location, etc.) that have sold recently and they'll base their appraisal on that. then usually the walk through is to determine if really is up to that standard. often times tho an appraiser can just not do their research and come up with a bullshit reason. so what I think is probably more likely is that they just went to a dogshit appraisal company at first

25:22 - I hate to be that guy going "well, actually..." but in regard to the point about the hammer of the gun, that is not correct. What you're referring to is called "fanning" - the technique where someone uses their hand to rapidly pull the hammer back. When you fan, you still have to hold the trigger down because the hammer stays in place when you pull it back. I don't know what gun he was using, but a single action revolver requires the hammer to be pulled back before it fires every single time, but you can't just shoot the gun by pulling the hammer back. I suppose it's possible that he didn't pull it all the way back and it didn't lock in place, but rather snapped forward again and struck the primer of the bullet, but that shouldn't happen.
But yea, if he had a single action revolver, you have to pull the hammer back and lock it in place, then pull the trigger before firing. With a double action revolver, you can pull the trigger without cocking the hammer back. The action of pulling the trigger both cocks the hammer and then releases it. In both cases, simply pulling the hammer back does not fire the gun. You have to pull the trigger.
I don't know what the means in this case, or what it means in terms of responsibility, I'm just saying that you're incorrect about the hammer and fanning.

In the 90’s I used to work on film sets and my first job was as a runner, basically a gofer. One one film, the director and one of the actors wanted cigars. I had to drive a 700 mile round trip to London, we were almost in Scotland, middle of fucking nowhere, to get them Davidoff cigars because no one local had a brand they liked. When I got back they’d forgotten they’d asked for cigars and had gone to bed and never asked about them again. I smoked them with the rest of the production team when we wrapped. Film sets are fiefdoms and are run on the whims of the kings and queens.
